The present status and the future of missile aerodynamics
Some recent developments in the state of the art in missile aerodynamics are reviewed. Among the subjects covered are: (1) tri-service/NASA data base, (2) wing-body interference, (3) nonlinear controls, (4) hypersonic transition, (5) vortex interference, (6) airbreathers, supersonic inlets, (7) store separation problems, (8) correlation of missile data, (9) CFD codes for complete configurations, (10) engineering prediction methods, and (11) future configurations. Suggestions are made for future research and development to advance the state of the art of missile aerodynamics
Mariner IV Mission to Mars. Part I
This technical report is a series of individual papers documenting the Mariner-Mars project from its beginning in 1962 following the successful Mariner-Venus mission. Part I is pre-encounter data. It includes papers on the design, development, and testing of Mariner IV, as well as papers detailing methods of maintaining communication with and obtaining data from the spacecraft during flight, and expected results during encounter with Mars. Part 11, post-encounter data, to be published later, will consist of documentation of the events taking place during Mariner IV's encounter with Mars and thereafter. The Mariner-Mars mission, the culmination of an era of spacecraft development, has contributed much new technology to be used in future projects
Gaston Memorial Hospital: Driving Quality Improvement With Data, Guidelines, and Real-Time Feedback
Describes efforts to reduce variance in provider practice patterns through data analysis and benchmarking of process-of-care measures. Discusses strategies such as sharing data, feedback, and best practices in ways physicians can utilize them immediately
Venture Capital for University Spin-Outs Companies in the context of University-based Entrepreneurial Ecosystems: an International Comparison
The objectives are, firstly, to identify the role of the university-focused intermediaries, specifically University-focused Venture Capital Firms (UVCs), in order to explain how they interact at the early stage of University Spin-out Companies (USOs) creation, particularly regarding knowledge sharing. Secondly, to analyse whether they change their position once the USO is developed, in the context of the dynamics of a university-based entrepreneurial ecosystem.Universidad de Málaga. Renormalization of the Fayet-Iliopoulos Term in Softly Broken SUSY Gauge Theories
It is shown that renormalization of the Fayet-Iliopoulos term in a softly
broken SUSY gauge theory, in full analogy with all the other soft terms
renormalizations, is completely defined in a rigid or an unbroken theory.
However, contrary to the other soft renormalizations, there is no simple
differential operator that acts on the renormalization functions of a rigid
theory and allows one to get the renormalization of the F-I term. One needs an
analysis of the superfield diagrams and some additional diagram calculations in
components. The method is illustrated by the four loop calculation of some part
of renormalization proportional to the soft scalar masses and the soft triple
couplings.Comment: Latex2e, 14 pages, uses axodraw.sty. References adde
