What Tools and Modes of Representation to Reflect an Architectural Atmosphere?
During the design phase, the architect is required to create images in order to give a shape to his project and communicate it. These visual representations satisfy architectural codes established over the years. Thus, the architect who wants to make public his creation gives representations of impressions and emotions. This way, the represented atmosphere reveals the designed architecture because it refers to personal experiences by involving our different senses. So, we question ourselves on the ability of images to reflect atmospheres projected by architects. The difficult part is to make visual representations which translate perceptions communicated by all our senses
Characterization of architectural and urban atmospheres in 'grands ensembles" (large-scale housing estates), built in France of the 1950s en 1973s
This paper introduces results of three case-studies of large-scale housing estates situated in Nantes (France): Dervallières (1952/1965), Breil Malville (1955/1967) and Malakoff (1967/1971). The main objective of this \u93grands ensembles\u94 study is to produce knowledge about their architectural and urban atmosphere characteristic. The atmosphere concept is defined as interaction between some physical phenomenons like: sound, light, wind with urban environment as perceived by the space occupant [Augoyard J-F, 1998]. This paper is organized globally in two parts, the first part presents brief synthesis of history and current context of these areas, second part gives idea about atmosphere\u92s characteristic for three cases-studies. This consists in clarifying and analyzing complex relationships between urban, social and physical (sound, light, sunshine, wind, etc.) environment, taking into account user\u92s perceptions and urban renewal

Modélisation du champ de capteurs de la centrale solaire de vignola
We build one model for this large size energetic system. In this aim, we make a solar step (defocalisation of the collectors) and observe the response by use of spectral analysis. It leads to a simple differential equation of second order which gives a very good approximation of output temperature. The simplicity of this model is fundamental for on appropriate command. On construit un modèle de ce système énergétique de taille industrielle.
