Coronary Vasospasm after Giving Adenosine for Supraventricular Tachycardia
Palpitations due to supra-ventricular tachycardia are a common mode of presentation to the emergency department. A 12 lead electrocardiography usually leads to immediate diagnosis and prompt management of this condition. Adenosine injection is the treatment of choice for rapid termination of supra-ventricular tachycardia which is widely used. It is generally considered safe and serious side effects are rare. We presented a rare case of a post-menopausal female admitted with supra-ventricular tachycardia and after injection of Adenosine, chest pain with a transient elevation of ST segment occurred. The ST segment changes reverted back to normal after a few minutes spontaneously without any therapy. This phenomenon could be explained due to coronary vasospasm produced by Adenosine. A review of literature revealed anecdotal cases of adenosine induced possible coronary vasospasm
JUGUN IANFU: KEKERASAN SEKSUAL TERHADAP PEREMPUAN PADA MASA PENDUDUKAN JEPANG DI JAWA BARAT TAHUN 1942-1945
This study aims to determine and obtain a comprehensive picture of how the activities of Jugun
Ianfu in West Java, forms of violence against Jugun Ianfu, legal protection and accountability
of Japan, and the social-psychological impact of victims of Jugun Ianfu in West Java. The
research methodology used is the historical research method which consists of four steps,
namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that the
recruitment process of Jugun Ianfu was carried out in areas in West Java such as Cimahi,
Sukabumi, Bogor and Sumedang through kidnapping and promised to be employed. Based on
the exposure of the victims of Jugun Ianfu, they often accept sexual violence that was both
perpetrated by the Japanese Army and its Officers. So, it can be concluded that the Japanese
Army has committed rape, trafficking in persons for sexual purposes, social exploitation, sexual
torture and also sexual slavery of adolescent women in West Java and has a traumatic impact
on those who experience it both physically, the impact on society and also the psychological
victim Jugun Ianfu
ECCO Essential Requirements for Quality Cancer Care : Soft Tissue Sarcoma in Adults and Bone Sarcoma. A critical review
Background: ECCO essential requirements for quality cancer care (ERQCC) are checklists and explanations of organisation and actions that are necessary to give high-quality care to patients who have a specific tumour type. They are written by European experts representing all disciplines involved in cancer care. ERQCC papers give oncology teams, patients, policymakers and managers an overview of the elements needed in any healthcare system to provide high quality of care throughout the patient journey. References are made to clinical guidelines and other resources where appropriate, and the focus is on care in Europe. Sarcoma: essential requirements for quality care Sarcomas - which can be classified into soft tissue and bone sarcomas - are rare, but all rare cancers make up more than 20% of cancers in Europe, and there are substantial inequalities in access to high-quality care. Sarcomas, of which there are many subtypes, comprise a particularly complex and demanding challenge for healthcare systems and providers. This paper presents essential requirements for quality cancer care of soft tissue sarcomas in adults and bone sarcomas. High-quality care must only be carried out in specialised sarcoma centres (including paediatric cancer centres) which have both a core multidisciplinary team and an extended team of allied professionals, and which are subject to quality and audit procedures. Access to such units is far from universal in all European countries. It is essential that, to meet European aspirations for high-quality comprehensive cancer control, healthcare organisations implement the requirements in this paper, paying particular attention to multidisciplinarity and patient-centred pathways from diagnosis and follow-up, to treatment, to improve survival and quality of life for patients. Conclusion: Taken together, the information presented in this paper provides a comprehensive description of the essential requirements for establishing a high-quality service for soft tissue sarcomas in adults and bone sarcomas. The ECCO expert group is aware that it is not possible to propose a 'one size fits all' system for all countries, but urges that access to multidisciplinary teams is guaranteed to all patients with sarcoma. Colorectal cancer: essential requirements for quality care Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second most common cause of cancer death in Europe and has wide variation in outcomes among countries. Increasing numbers of older people are contracting the disease, and treatments for advanced stages are becoming more complex. A growing number of survivors also require specialist support. High-quality care can only be a carried out in specialised CRC units or centres which have both a core multidisciplinary team and an extended team of allied professionals, and which are subject to quality and audit procedures. Such units or centres are far from universal in all European countries. It is essential that, to meet European aspirations for comprehensive cancer control, healthcare organisations implement the essential requirements in this paper, paying particular attention to multidisciplinarity and patient-centred pathways from diagnosis, to treatment, to survivorship. Conclusion: Taken together, the information presented in this paper provides a comprehensive description of the essential requirements for establishing a high-quality CRC service. The ECCO expert group is aware that it is not possible to propose a 'one size fits all' system for all countries, but urges that access to multidisciplinary units or centres must be guaranteed for all those with CRC. Tuning for Quantum Speedup in Directed Lackadaisical Quantum Walks
Quantum walks constitute an important tool for designing quantum algorithms
and information processing tasks. In a lackadaisical walk, in addition to the
possibility of moving out of a node, the walker can remain on the same node
with some probability. This is achieved by introducing self-loops,
parameterized by self-loop strength , attached to the nodes such that large
implies a higher likelihood for the walker to be trapped at the node. In
this work, {\it directed}, lackadaisical quantum walks is studied. Depending on
, two regimes are shown to exist -- one in which classical walker dominates
and the other dominated by the quantum walker. In the latter case, we also
demonstrate the existence of two distinct scaling regimes with for quantum
walker on a line and on a binary tree. Surprisingly, a significant
quantum-induced speedup is realized for large . By tuning the initial state,
the extent of this speedup can be manipulated

ECCO essential requirements for quality cancer care : Melanoma
Background ECCO essential requirements for quality cancer care (ERQCC) are explanations and descriptions of challenges, organisation and actions that are necessary to give high-quality care to patients who have a specific type of cancer. Melanoma: essential requirements for quality care: Melanoma, the most-deadly skin cancer, is rising in incidence among fair-skinned people in Europe. Increasing complexity of care for advanced disease in clinical areas such as staging and new therapies requires attention to a number of challenges and inequalities in a diverse patient group. Care for advanced melanoma must only be carried out in, or in collaboration with, specialist melanoma centres which have both a core multidisciplinary team and an extended team of allied professionals, and which are subject to quality and audit procedures. Access to such units is far from universal in all European countries. It is essential that, to meet European aspirations for high-quality comprehensive cancer control, healthcare organisations implement the requirements in this paper, paying particular attention to multidisciplinarity and patient-centred pathways from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up, to improve survival and quality of life for patients. Kartagener syndrome with renal amyloidosis: a case report
Kartagener syndrome is a rare disorder caused by defective ciliary function. It is described as a triad of cystic bronchiectasis, chronic sinusitis, and situs invertus. Renal involvement, although uncommon, is reported. The available evidence in literature consists of case reports and series, which describe various patterns of renal involvement. We hereby describe a case of a young female who presented with advanced renal failure and hypertension requiring urgent hemodialysis. On evaluation, she was found to have the classic triad of bronchiectasis, chronic sinusitis, and situs invertus leading to the diagnosis of Kartagener syndrome. On workup for the cause of renal failure, we found membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis due to amyloidosis secondary to bronchiectasis. This is a rare association and only 1 case has been reported in the available literature. There are no consensus guidelines regarding treatment of this condition, due to paucity of available data and because of rarity of the condition. This disease should be reported to augment the available literature
