Morir y volver a nacer: el cuerpo masculino entre la tortura y la victoria épica en el cine político argentino de los 70
Este trabajo pretende analizar las escenas vinculadas a la tortura, en dos filmes del denominado Cine Político producido en la década del 70 en Argentina: Los Traidores de Raymundo Gleyzer y Los hijos de Fierro de Fernando ?Pino? Solanas. Corriéndonos de cualquier interpretación que entienda dichas escenas como meras denuncias a las prácticas represivas por parte del Estado de la época, nos proponemos descifrar y valorar dichas escenas en relación a la trama romántica que organiza los sucesos en ambos filmes. En la trama romántica propuesta por ambas películas se narran las luchas populares en pos del cambio social, forjándose representaciones masculinas vinculadas al trabajo y la militancia cuya virilidad es puesta a prueba explícita o implícitamente por las escenas de torturas. El presente artículo complementa dicho análisis con un acercamiento al problema de la recepción y la vinculación entre figura masculina y espectador modelo.Fil: Navone, Santiago. Models of cuspy triaxial stellar systems. II. Regular orbits
In the first paper of this series we used the N--body method to build a dozen
cuspy (gamma ~ 1) triaxial models of stellar systems, and we showed that they
were highly stable over time intervals of the order of a Hubble time, even
though they had very large fractions of chaotic orbits (more than 85 per cent
in some cases). The models were grouped in four sets, each one comprising
models morphologically resembling E2, E3, E4 and E5 galaxies, respectively. The
three models within each set, although different, had the same global
properties and were statistically equivalent. In the present paper we use
frequency analysis to classify the regular orbits of those models. The bulk of
those orbits are short axis tubes (SATs), with a significant fraction of long
axis tubes (LATs) in the E2 models that decreases in the E3 and E4 models to
become negligibly small in the E5 models. Most of the LATs in the E2 and E3
models are outer LATs, but the situation reverses in the E4 and E5 models where
the few LATs are mainly inner LATs. As could be expected for cuspy models, most
of the boxes are resonant orbits, i.e., boxlets. Nevertheless, only the (x, y)
fishes of models E3 and E4 amount to about 10 per cent of the regular orbits,
with most of the fractions of the other boxlets being of the order of 1 per

Models of cuspy triaxial stellar systems. III: The effect of velocity anisotropy on chaoticity
In several previous investigations we presented models of triaxial stellar
systems, both cuspy and non cuspy, that were highly stable and harboured large
fractions of chaotic orbits. All our models had been obtained through cold
collapses of initially spherical --body systems, a method that necessarily
results in models with strongly radial velocity distributions. Here we
investigate a different method that was reported to yield cuspy triaxial models
with virtually no chaos. We show that such result was probably due to the use
of an inadequate chaos detection technique and that, in fact, models with
significant fractions of chaotic orbits result also from that method. Besides,
starting with one of the models from the first paper in this series, we
obtained three different models by rendering its velocity distribution much
less radially biased (i.e., more isotropic) and by modifying its axial ratios
through adiabatic compression. All three models yielded much higher fractions
of regular orbits than most of those from our previous work. We conclude that
it is possible to obtain stable cuspy triaxial models of stellar systems whose
velocity distribution is more isotropic than that of the models obtained from
cold collapses. Those models still harbour large fractions of chaotic orbits
and, although it is difficult to compare the results from different models, we
can tentatively conclude that chaoticity is reduced by velocity isotropy.Comment: 11 pages, 14 figures. Accepted for publication in MNRA
Cloning and expression of a human kinesin heavy chain gene: interaction of the COOH-terminal domain with cytoplasmic microtubules in transfected CV-1 cells.
To understand the interactions between the microtubule-based motor protein kinesin and intracellular components, we have expressed the kinesin heavy chain and its different domains in CV-1 monkey kidney epithelial cells and examined their distributions by immunofluorescence microscopy. For this study, we cloned and sequenced cDNAs encoding a kinesin heavy chain from a human placental library. The human kinesin heavy chain exhibits a high level of sequence identity to the previously cloned invertebrate kinesin heavy chains; homologies between the COOH-terminal domain of human and invertebrate kinesins and the nonmotor domain of the Aspergillus kinesin-like protein bimC were also found. The gene encoding the human kinesin heavy chain also contains a small upstream open reading frame in a G-C rich 5' untranslated region, features that are associated with translational regulation in certain mRNAs. After transient expression in CV-1 cells, the kinesin heavy chain showed both a diffuse distribution and a filamentous staining pattern that coaligned with microtubules but not vimentin intermediate filaments. Altering the number and distribution of microtubules with taxol or nocodazole produced corresponding changes in the localization of the expressed kinesin heavy chain. The expressed NH2-terminal motor and the COOH-terminal tail domains, but not the alpha-helical coiled coil rod domain, also colocalized with microtubules. The finding that both the kinesin motor and tail domains can interact with cytoplasmic microtubules raises the possibility that kinesin could crossbridge and induce sliding between microtubules under certain circumstances
Mutual fund incentive fees: Determinants and effects
We investigate the how and why of performance fee provisions in a free contracting environment such as the Italian mutual fund market until 2006. We find weak support for the hypothesis that these provisions emerge as an economically efficient solution in a rational asset management industry plagued by asymmetric information. They appear to emerge mainly as the product of strategic pricing by asset managers wishing to ease market competition, leverage on investors' sentiment, and hedge their cost structure. Alternatively, fears that managers may opportunistically alter funds' investment policies to maximize the option value embedded in the incentive provisions appear unjustified
Educación ambiental, vida en la naturaleza y ciencia escolar : Estado de situación y posibles estrategias de integración
La construcción de relaciones entre Vida en la Naturaleza, Educación Ambiental y Ciencia Escolar da lugar a un campo de trabajo educativo sobre el cual es posible trazar diversas configuraciones didácticas. Desde esta perspectiva, en el presente estudio se analiza el estado de situación de este campo relacional a partir de los resultados obtenidos de encuestas realizadas a estudiantes de Institutos Superiores de Formación Docente en Educación Física, para luego proponer posibles estrategias de intersección didáctica, siempre desde el marco referencial que brinda la tríada conceptual: motricidad, ambiente próximo y planetariedad. Las propuestas están dirigidas a enriquecer la formación inicial de futuros educadores así como también a contribuir en la formación permanente de docentes de diversos profesorados, pudiendo ser extendidas a facilitadores del ámbito educativo no forma

Undernutrition, body composition and proportion among schoolchildren in two departments of Mendoza, Argentina
El objetivo fue conocer y analizar las prevalencias de desnutrición, composición y proporción corporales en relación con las condiciones socioambientales de residencia de niños de dos departamentos lindantes de la provincia de Mendoza: San Rafael (SR) y General Alvear (GA). Se realizó un estudio transversal en 5118 niños de 5 a 12 años. Se relevaron: peso; estatura total y sentado; perímetro braquial y pliegue tricipital, y se calcularon índices de masa corporal y de estatura sentado, áreas muscular y grasa del brazo. Las prevalencias de Bajo Peso/Edad (BP/E); Baja Talla/Edad (BT/E) y Bajo Peso/Talla (BP/T) se estimaron utilizando NHANES III. Las variables socioambientales se relevaron mediante encuestas semiestructuradas. La prevalencia de BT/E fue similar en ambas poblaciones y las de BP/E y BP/T, mayores en GA. El acortamiento de los miembros inferiores fue mayor en SR; y los déficits de tejido muscular y adiposo, en GA. Se concluye que GA muestra mayores prevalencias de desnutrición aguda con modificación de la composición corporal asociadas a la precarización socioambiental. En SR, el estado nutricional y la calidad de vida son mejores que en GA, ya que supera aquellas condiciones adversas que afectaron las primeras etapas de desarrollo, reflejadas en la proporción corporal.The aim was to know and to analyse the prevalence of undernutrition and body composition and proportion in relationship to socio-environmental conditions of residence in children of two adjacent departments in the province of Mendoza: San Rafael (SR) and General Alvear (GA). A crosssectional anthropometrical study was performed in 5.118 children from 5 to 12 years old. Body weight, height, sitting height, arm circumference and triceps skinfold were measured and the sitting height ratio and muscle and body mass index, fat areas of the arm calculated. Prevalences of low weight-for-age (LW/A), low height-for-age (LH/A) and low weight-for-height (LW/H) were estimated using NHANES III. The socio-environmental variables were surveyed using semi-structured questioner. Prevalences of LH/A were similar in both populations and LW/A and LW/H higher in GA. The lower limb shortening was higher in SR, the deficits of muscle and adipose tissue in GA. It is concluded that whereas GA shows a higher prevalence of acute malnutrition associate to body composition changes as consequence of the social insecurity; in SR, is evident that nutritional status and life quality are better than GA surpassing those adverse conditions that affected the early stages of development as a mirror in body proportion change.Fil: Garraza, Mariela.
