    Get PDF
The aim of this project is to eliminate the paper-based attendance with auto attendance by using student ID card. Currently, there is a card based attendance used in companies and web based attendance is used in the universities. In the paper-based attendance the paper is often lost, while in the web based attendance when all the students try to log in at the same time, the server gets down. We came up with the solution of  having a Wi-Fi based attendance where there is no need of paper and login to the server. It can be done with the help of proximity card reader. When a student holds his card in front of the reader, it will read the card and send it to the database with the help of Wi-Fi module. The database will process data based on the time and date of receiving

Heating Oil Level Detection and Assistance Using Amazon Alexa

This work is used to bridge the gap between consumer and oil supplier by building a smart monitoring system with the help of  ESP8266 (Wi-Fi module) and  Alexa (Intelligent AI based Virtual Assistant). In the existing system, many oil tanks are inaccessible or buried under the ground. We came up with the solution  of  having a smart monitoring system where there is no longer need to read the oil level in the heating oil tank manually.  It can be done with the help of an ultrasonic sensor. When the consumer requests to check the oil level, ESP8266  retrieves the oil level from the ultrasonic sensor and sends it to Alexa

There are currently five oral SERDs in published and ongoing clinical trials—elacestrant, camizestrant, giredestrant, imlunestrant, and amcenestrant—with more in development. They offer a reasonably well-tolerated oral therapy option with low discontinuation rates in studies. This review summarizes the currently available literature on this new class of drugs

Evaluation of seed infection of fungi in Chickpea

The study aims at identifying pathogenic fungi associated with gram different categories (Cicer arietinum L.) seeds. Seed health testing is a pre requisite for seed improvement, seed production, seed certification and trade in seed. Using blotter, and agar plate methods as recommended by ISTA, the seed mycoflora of different gram seed samples was examined. About thirty fungal species were isolated from these seeds most abundant- among these were Alternaria alternata, Chaetomium spp., Penicillium citrinum, Aspergillus niger, A. flavus, Rhizopus nigricans, Fusarium oxysporum. The no of fungal species were reduced in surface sterilized seeds which indicate of that many of the fungi were located on seed coat. Blotter method showed greater incidence of fungi on different parts of seeds followed by agar plate method. The seed mycoflora devalue the seed quality, reduce its nutritional value and cause a germination failure of the seedlings and of the crop raised from such infected seed

Scenario: Sofia, aged 32 years, wants another child. She has used a contraceptive implant for contraception for 2 years and attends her local sexual health clinic to have it removed. Before starting the removal the healthcare professional (HCP) asks about her general health and obstetric history. She is well and does not take regular medication. Her body mass index (BMI) is 33 kg/m2 and her last cervical screening test was 6 years ago. She drinks socially and does not smoke or use recreational drugs. She has two children aged 7 and 4 years. Her first pregnancy was uncomplicated, and she had a vaginal birth. She had gestational diabetes in her second pregnancy and opted for an elective caesarean for fetal macrosomia. She cannot recall if she had testing for diabetes after birth. She has a palpable implant. Before starting the implant removal, the HCP discusses pregnancy planning with Sofia. They advise her to consult her general practitioner (GP) to start 5 mg/day folic acid (table 1), have a cervical screening test and be tested for diabetes. The HCP sensitively brings up Sofia’s weight and alcohol intake. They explain that she could reduce her risk of complications during pregnancy and delivery by aiming for 5–10% weight loss and signposts her to the National Health Service (NHS) ‘Live Well’ website. The HCP also discusses the benefits of not drinking alcohol before and during the pregnancy, and encourages her to discuss these lifestyle changes with her partner as well, as men can also optimise their health to improve fertility. The HCP also uses the opportunity to screen for reproductive coercion and domestic abuse as pregnancy is associated with an increased risk
