Proceedings of: Second International Workshop on Sustainable Ultrascale Computing Systems (NESUS 2015). Krakow (Poland), September 10-11, 2015.In this paper results of recent updates of a simple algorithm for the inversion of gravity anomalies for 3D geosections in parallel computer systems are presented. A relaxation iterative principle was used updating step by step the geosection distribution of mass density. Selection of updates was done on basis of least squares error match of the update effect with the observed anomaly. Locally weighted least squares combined with the linear trend were used to obtain good inversion results for two-body geosections

The research has purposes to analyze the factors of in influenced in academic fraud in student’s university of accountant with fraud diamond dimension and gone theory which consist of pressure, opportunity, rationalization, capability, greed, need and exposure. The population of this research is the students of the faculty of economics and business Muhummadiyah University of Surakarta force 2014-2016. Taking sample of this reseach is conveniance sampling and it gets 93 respondences. The hypothesis was tested using multiple regrression and also helped by SPSS 20 programe. The results showed that rationalization, capabilitie, greed, and exposures to influence the behavior of a student's academic cheating. Meanwhile, pressure, opportunity, and need do not affect the students' academic cheating behavior

This research has purpose to know water quality in residential districts, market, and butchery in the areas along Kapuas River in Pontianak based on parameter in physics, chemistry, and biology. Form of this research is descriptive with survey method. This research is based on second class water standard according to PP 82 in the year of 2001. The result of sample test in three observation locations shows that the water is worth to be used based on the physics parameter (TDS, TSS and temperature) meanwhile, based on parameter in chemistry (DO, BOD, COD, and pH) and biology (Total Coliform), the water from those locations is unworthy to be used. The result of the research on water quality used in arranging the guidance of the practicum entitled Testing of the content of simple group of Coliform Bacteria in Kapuas River water on material for tenth grade students of senior high school about environmental contamination. Validation of the practicum guidance is done by 7 people as validator with average score of validation about 3,5 or it is worth being used for supporting the learning about environmental contamination material. Keys: water quality, Kapuas River, practicum guidanc

Personality disorder: still the patients psychiatrists dislike?

Aims and method In 1988, Lewis and Appleby demonstrated that psychiatrists hold negative attitudes towards patients with personality disorder. We assessed the attitudes of psychiatry trainees towards patients with borderline personality disorder and depression, expecting an improvement. 166 trainees were block randomised to receive one of four case vignettes that varied by diagnosis and ethnic group. We used Lewis and Appleby's original questionnaire and the Attitudes to Personality Disorder Questionnaire (APDQ). Results We received 76 responses. Lewis and Appleby's questionnaire showed more negative attitudes towards personality disorder than depression, with no significant patient ethnic group effects, and the APDQ also showed a (weak) trend towards more negative attitudes to personality disorder. In subgroup analysis, only in the White British patient group were there significantly more negative attitudes to personality disorder. Factor analysis showed significantly less sense of purpose when working with personality disorder. Clinical implications The perceived greater lack of purpose in working with personality disorder should be the target of clinical training and intervention. Targeted interventions that include training in managing personality disorder, supervision and practice in non-specialist, general psychiatry settings are important

METRONIDAZOLE INDUCED CEREBELLAR ATAXIA: A CASE REPORT 1

Metronidazole is a very commonly prescribed antibiotic for the treatment of anaerobic bacterial and protozoal infections. The most common adverse effects associated with it are nausea, dry mouth, vomiting, and diarrhea. Neurologic toxicity is very rare and if it occur it includes peripheral neuropathy, headache, dizziness, syncope, vertigo, and confusion. Cerebellar toxicity is a very unusual, adverse event associated with its use. We are reporting a case of this very rare side effect, i.e. Reversible Cerebellar toxicity, in a patient who was on prolonged metronidazole therapy for multiple liver abscesses. Conversion disorder presenting as intractable hiccups in middle-aged male

    Get PDF
Hiccups are common and often don’t require treatment. Intractable hiccups, on the other hand, are often bothersome for the patient and require therapy. Formerly known as “psychogenic”, “functional” or “hysteria”- “conversion disorder” usually present with either or both sensory and motor function deficiencies. Common in females and having a varied presentation, conversion disorders are difficult to diagnose. When an uncommon presentation of them like intractable hiccups present in sex with a lesser predisposition, the diagnosis may be missed and not appropriately managed
