Tag detection for preventing unauthorized face image processing
A new technology is being proposed as a solution to the
problem of unintentional facial detection and recognition in pictures in which the individuals appearing want to express their privacy preferences, through the use of different tags. The existing methods for face
de-identification were mostly ad hoc solutions that only provided an absolute binary solution in a privacy context such as pixelation, or a bar mask. As the number and users of social networks are increasing, our preferences
regarding our privacy may become more complex, leaving these absolute binary solutions as something obsolete. The proposed technology overcomes this problem by embedding information in a tag which will be placed close to the face without being disruptive. Through a decoding
method the tag will provide the preferences that will be applied to the images in further stages
<臨床>胃癌術後に肺転移巣を切除した2例
It is said that the prognosis is poor in cases with recurrent pulmonary metastasis after operation for gastric cancer. In this article, 2 cases with nodular type of pulmonary metastasis resected after operation for gastric cancer and surviving well are reported by the authors. Case 1: 57year-old female. The patient underwent a total gastrectomy for the 3'type of cardiac cancer. As the serum levels of tumor markers increased and the chest X-ray examination revealed a mass lesion in the right lung (S_10), the operation for the lesion under the diagnosis of metastatic lung cancer was performed 1 year and 2 months after gastrectomy. The patient died of pulmonal and pleural metastasis 4 years and 7 months after the first operation. Case 2: 65-year-old male. The patient underwent a subtotal gastrectomy for the 5'type of gastric cancer. Chest X-ray examination for follow-up study revealed a mass lesion in the left lung (S_5). The patient underwent a left pulmonary superior lobe resection 2 years and 9 months after gastrectomy. The patient is still alive 6 years after the first operation. Surgical treatment must be actively considered for nodular type of metastatic lung cancer after operation for gastric cancer.胃癌術後に肺転移をきたした症例の予後は不良とされている. 今回, 胃切除術後に結節型肺転移巣を切除し, 良好な結果を得た胃癌の2例を経験したので、報告する. 症例 1 は57歳, 女性. 噴門部 2'型胃癌の診断のもと, 胃全摘術を受けている. 腫瘍マーカーの上昇があり, 胸部X線写真で右肺 S_10 に腫瘤陰影を認めた. 胃癌術後1年2カ月目に肺部分切除術を施行した. 患者は胃癌切除後4年7カ月で肺転移および癌性胸膜炎のため死亡した. 症例2は65歳, 男性. 胃体部 5'型胃癌の診断のもと, 胃亜全摘を受けている. 術後経過観察中, 胸部X線写真で左肺 S_5 に腫瘤陰影を認め, 胃癌術後2年9カ月目に左肺上葉切除切除術を施行した. 患者は胃癌切除術後6年で健在である. 結節型の肺転移例に対しては積極的な外科手術を考慮すべきである
Plato, Isocrates and Epistolary Literature: Reconsidering the Seventh Letter in its contexts
Working against the recent arguments against Plato’s authorship of the Seventh Letter in the Anglophone scholarship, this paper demonstrates the historical possibility that Plato wrote his letters for philosophical purposes, most likely in competition with Isocrates, who skilfully used the literary genre of letters for his rhetorical and philosophical purposes. Because Isocrates and Plato experimented with various writing styles in response to each other, letters and autobiographies may well have been their common devices. The paper concludes that we should respect the tradition that had included and respected the Seventh Letter as Plato’s own writing

Preliminary Design Study of the TMT Telescope Structure System: Overview
We present an overview of the preliminary design of the Telescope Structure System (STR) of Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT). NAOJ was given responsibility for the TMT STR in early 2012 and engaged Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MELCO) to take over the preliminary design work. MELCO performed a comprehensive preliminary design study in 2012 and 2013 and the design successfully passed its Preliminary Design Review (PDR) in November 2013 and April 2014. Design optimizations were pursued to better meet the design requirements and improvements were made in the designs of many of the telescope subsystems as follows: 1. 6-legged Top End configuration to support secondary mirror (M2) in order to reduce deformation of the Top End and to keep the same 4% blockage of the full aperture as the previous STR design. 2. “Double Lower Tube” of the elevation (EL) structure to reduce the required stroke of the primary mirror (M1) actuators to compensate the primary mirror cell (M1 Cell) deformation caused during the EL angle change in accordance with the requirements. 3. M1 Segment Handling System (SHS) to be able to make removing and installing 10 Mirror Segment Assemblies per day safely and with ease over M1 area where access of personnel is extremely difficult. This requires semi-automatic sequence operation and a robotic Segment Lifting Fixture (SLF) designed based on the Compliance Control System, developed for controlling industrial robots, with a mechanism to enable precise control within the six degrees of freedom of position control. 4. CO2 snow cleaning system to clean M1 every few weeks that is similar to the mechanical system that has been used at Subaru Telescope. 5. Seismic isolation and restraint systems with respect to safety; the maximum acceleration allowed for M1, M2, tertiary mirror (M3), LGSF, and science instruments in 1,000 year return period earthquakes are defined in the requirements. The Seismic requirements apply to any EL angle, regardless of the operational status of Hydro Static Bearing (HSB) system and stow lock pins. In order to find a practical solution, design optimization study for seismic risk mitigation was carried out extensively, including the performing of dynamic response analyses of the STR system under the time dependent acceleration profile of seven major earthquakes. Orders of Knowledge in Philosophy: Critical Assessments
Philosophy is only just beginning—later than other humanities disciplines—to face the challenges of an increasingly globalized world and the associated and inescapable but difficult task of decolonization. For it is not only the exclusion of philosophical traditions from other regions of the world or the exclusion of women—both from the history of philosophy as well as the mainstream philosophical debates of the present—that is under criticism, but more fundamentally the claims to truth and universal validity associated with philosophical theories. The present volume, which brings together selected conference papers and further contributions, focuses in particular on the study of orders of knowledge in philosophy—since they continue to shape the global philosophical landscape to a significant extent today.
