An approach to comfort in 3D printed clothing
The rapid prototyping (3D) has become a promise of production techniques. Faced with the fact, several questions arise regarding the change in the production process, namely the perception of comfort in the products obtained by this technology. This paper reviews the background of 3D printing techniques and presents a brief reflection between comfort and wearable products.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio
Spin and Charge Josephson effects between non-uniform superconductors with coexisting helimagnetic order
We consider the spin and charge Josephson current between two non-uniform
Fulde-Ferrel-Larkin-Ovchinnikov superconductors with helimagnetic order. We
demonstrate that the presence of the helimagnetic phase generates a spin
Josephson effect and leads to additional contributions to both single-particle
and Josephson charge current. It is shown that for such systems the AC effect
differs more radically from the DC effect than in the case of a BCS
superconductor with helimagnetic order considered earlier in the literature [M.
L. Kuli\'c and I. M. Kuli\'c, Phys. Rev. B {\bf 63}, 104503 (2001)] where a
spin Josephson current has also been found. In our system the most interesting
effect occurs in the presence of an external magnetic field and in absence of
voltage, where we show that the charge Josephson current can be tuned to zero
while the spin Josephson current is non-vanishing. This provides a well
controlled mechanism to generate a spin supercurrent in absence of charge
currents.Comment: final versio
Interference and complementarity for two-photon hybrid entangled states
In this work we generate two-photon hybrid entangled states (HES), where the
polarization of one photon is entangled with the transverse spatial degree of
freedom of the second photon. The photon pair is created by parametric
down-conversion in a polarization-entangled state. A birefringent double-slit
couples the polarization and spatial degrees of freedom of these photons and
finally, suitable spatial and polarization projections generate the HES. We
investigate some interesting aspects of the two-photon hybrid interference, and
present this study in the context of the complementarity relation that exists
between the visibilities of the one- and two-photon interference patterns.Comment: 10 pages, 4 figures. Accepted in Physical Review
Evaluation of extraction employing tetramethylammonium hydroxide for traceability of brazilian meat.
Bovine traceability is an important tool for the control of quality of the meat. It can assist in the identification of disease outbreaks, well-being of creation, fraud control and still ensure the origin of meat, adding value to the product in front of a consumer market increasingly demanding. This work was to objective the applicability of extractions employing tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH) and scanning spectral m/z using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) for possible applicability using chemometrics in the control of traceability. For optimization of system a factorial design 24, with a total of sixteen experiments were performed with the use of NIST 8414 -Bovine Muscle Powder certified reference material. The sample mass varied from 0.050 (normalized -1) and 0.075 g (normalized +1). The volume of TMAH varied from 1.0 (-1) to 2.0 mL (+1) and the TMHA concentration changed 6.25 (-1) to 12.5 % (+1). The extraction time with agitation changed from 1 (-1) to 6 (+1) hours, in order to evaluate the recuperation of As, Ba, Co, Cd, Mo, Sr, Se and Pb using ICP-MS. Spectral scans were performed (0-300 m/z) with analytical blank and samples. After evaluation, the generates spectra will be used as the basis ~o propose the chemiometrics model (construction and validation) for forecast of samples of unknown origin. The sample preparation methodology has proved to >e adequate for the proposed procedure, which employ a huge number of samples

Critical dynamics, duality, and the exact dynamic exponent in extreme type II superconductors
The critical dynamics of superconductors is studied using renormalization
group and duality arguments. We show that in extreme type II superconductors
the dynamic critical exponent is given exactly by . This result does not
rely on the widely used models of critical dynamics. Instead, it is shown that
follows from the duality between the extreme type II superconductor and
a model with a critically fluctuating gauge field. Our result is in agreement
with Monte Carlo simulations.Comment: 7 pages, no figures; version accepted for publication in PR
Observing Grasping Actions Directed to Emotion-Laden Objects: Effects upon Corticospinal Excitability
The motor system is recruited whenever one executes an action as well as when one observes the same action being executed by others. Although it is well established that emotion modulates the motor system, the effect of observing other individuals acting in an emotional context is particularly elusive. The main aim of this study was to investigate the effect induced by the observation of grasping directed to emotion-laden objects upon corticospinal excitability (CSE). Participants classified video-clips depicting the right-hand of an actor grasping emotion-laden objects. Twenty video-clips differing in terms of valence but balanced in arousal level were selected. Motor evoked potentials (MEPs) were then recorded from the first dorsal interosseous using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) while the participants observed the selected emotional video-clips. During the video-clip presentation, TMS pulses were randomly applied at one of two different time points of grasping: (1) maximum grip aperture, and (2) object contact time. CSE was higher during the observation of grasping directed to unpleasant objects compared to pleasant ones. These results indicate that when someone observes an action of grasping directed to emotion-laden objects, the effect of the object valence promotes a specific modulation over the motor system.Fil: Nogueira Campos, Anaelli A..
