    Government bond market development - case of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia

    Liquid and resilient government bond markets are often defined as an important goal of public debt management. Although similar in many aspects, regulatory frameworks related to financial services in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Serbia are experiencing a time lag in the implementation of the European Union acquis. In addition, these countries have sometimes made different policy choices when it comes to public debt management. This provides a unique opportunity to conduct a cross-dimensional and temporal analysis and assess the impact that different regulatory solutions and policy choices can have on the market. The research demonstrates that despite common and obvious limitations related to market size, the impact of policy and regulatory choices is not negligible. It also demonstrates the importance of a comprehensive strategy integrating factors such as debt structure, liquidity enhancement techniques and quality of the institutional investor base

    In der Covid-19-Pandemie verfolgten die westlichen Industrienationen ähnliche Impfpolitiken, aber unterschieden sich in den Organisationsstrukturen der Impfprogramme erheblich zwischen zentralisierten und dezentralisierten Systemen. Dieser Beitrag zeigt, dass international dezentralisierte und zentralisierte Systeme zunächst die gleiche Spitzenleistung erreichten, auf nationaler Ebene gemischte Ansätze einen längerfristigen Erfolg aufwiesen und im subnationalen Bereich der Wechsel von einem System mit angebotsbasierten Terminen zu einem Registrierungssystem mit Präferenzangaben und automatischer Terminzuweisung zu einer Spitzenleistung führte. Über das System konnte eine faire und gerechte Verteilung der Impfdosen erreicht sowie eine Überperformance von 14% nachgewiesen werden. Die Implementierung dieses Systems für ganz Deutschland hätte einen um 4% höheren Schutz, geringere wirtschaftliche Kosten und eine frühere Lockerung des Lockdowns ermöglicht. In demokratischen, freiheitsorientierten Ländern mit freiwilliger Impfung wird eine zentrale Organisation mit Registrierung und automatischer Terminzuweisung als Best Practice für das Impfmanagement empfohlen

Cilj ove aktivnosti je povećanje financijske pismenosti učenika kroz direktnu interakciju s profesionalcima iz područja financija te stjecanje praktičnog iskustva. Rad se fokusira na posjete institucijama poput Zagrebačke banke (ZABA), Privredne banke Zagreb (PBZ), Raiffeisenbank Austrija (RBA) i Financijske agencije (FINA). Kroz analizu se prikazuju koristi i izazovi ovakvog oblika suradnje te preporuke za buduće aktivnosti

    The Operationalization of Strategic Alignment: Driving IT Value through Business-IT Dialogues

    Information technology (IT) as a strategic asset urges organizations to establish strategic alignment between business and IT stakeholders to maximize the contribution of IT. Yet, they still struggle to effectively communicate the strategic perspective and the business value of IT. In three organizational settings, we conduct action design research to effectively communicate IT business value. We develop a structured end-to-end process with four steps: initialization, stakeholder identification, strategic dialogues, and consolidation & analysis. We derive eight design principles to design and implement this business-IT dialogue format that strengthens mutual understanding and strategic perspective. Hence, this paper provides guidance for organizations to establish strategic conversations between business and IT stakeholders and advances research on operationalizing business-IT alignment

    Unatoč činjenici da je ravnopravnost spolova jedna od najviših vrednota hrvatskog ustavnog poretka, koje kao takve predstavljaju kriterij za tumačenje Ustava Republike Hrvatske, stupanj postignute egalitarnosti još uvijek nije zadovoljavajući. Stoga je fokus rada na normativnom okviru za ravnopravnost spolova kroz podrobnu analizu relevantnih ustavnih i zakonskih odredbi, pri čemu se osobita pozornost posvećuje jurisprudenciji Ustavnog suda Republike Hrvatske. U radu se ukazuje i na probleme implementacije načela ravnopravnosti spolova u praksi, poglavito na tržištu rada u segmentu plaća, te na potrebu za određenim rješenjima de lege lata i de lege ferenda
