    Exclusive processes with a leading neutron in epep collisions

    In this paper we extend the color dipole formalism to the study of exclusive processes associated with a leading neutron in epep collisions at high energies. The exclusive ρ\rho, ϕ\phi and J/ΨJ/\Psi production, as well as the Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering, are analysed assuming a diffractive interaction between the color dipole and the pion emitted by the incident proton. We compare our predictions with the HERA data on ρ\rho production and estimate the magnitude of the absorption corrections. We show that the color dipole formalism is able to describe the current data. Finally, we present our estimate for the exclusive cross sections which can be studied at HERA and in future electron-proton colliders.Comment: 11 pages, 9 figures.     Diffractive ρ\rho production at small xx in future Electron - Ion Colliders

    The future Electron - Ion (eAeA) Collider is expected to probe the high energy regime of the QCD dynamics, with the exclusive vector meson production cross section being one of the most promising observables. In this paper we complement previous studies of exclusive processes presenting a comprehensive analysis of diffractive ρ\rho production at small xx. We compute the coherent and incoherent cross sections taking into account non-linear QCD dynamical effects and considering different models for the dipole - proton scattering amplitude and for the vector meson wave function. The dependence of these cross sections with the energy, photon virtuality, nuclear mass number and squared momentum transfer is analysed in detail. Moreover, we compare the non-linear predictions with those obtained in the linear regime. Finally, we also estimate the exclusive photon, J/ΨJ/\Psi and ϕ\phi production and compare with the results obtained for ρ\rho production. Our results demonstrate that the analysis of diffractive ρ\rho production in future electron - ion colliders will be important to understand the non-linear QCD dynamics.Comment: 12 pages, 8 figures, 1 table.     Double vector meson production in γγ\gamma \gamma interactions at hadronic colliders

    In this paper we revisit the double vector meson production in γγ\gamma \gamma interactions at heavy ion collisions and present, by the first time, predictions for the ρρ\rho\rho and J/ΨJ/ΨJ/\Psi J/\Psi production in proton -- nucleus and proton -- proton collisions. In order to obtain realistic predictions for rapidity distributions and total cross sections for the double vector production in ultra peripheral hadronic collisions we take into account of the description of γγVV\gamma \gamma \rightarrow VV cross section at low energies as well as its behaviour at large energies, associated to the gluonic interaction between the color dipoles. Our results demonstrate that the double ρ\rho production is dominated by the low energy behaviour of the γγVV\gamma \gamma \rightarrow VV cross section. In contrast, for the double J/ΨJ/\Psi production, the contribution associated to the description of the QCD dynamics at high energies contributes significantly, mainly in pppp collisions.     Double vector meson production in the International Linear Collider

    In this paper we study double vector meson production in γγ\gamma \gamma interactions at high energies and, using the color dipole picture, estimate the main observables which can be probed at the International Linear Collider (ILC). The total γ(Q12)+γ(Q22)V1+V2\gamma (Q_1^2) + \gamma (Q_2^2) \rightarrow V_1 + V_2 cross-sections for Vi=ρV_i = \rho, ϕ\phi, J/ψJ/\psi and Υ\Upsilon are computed and the energy and virtuality dependencies are studied in detail. Our results demonstrate that the experimental analysis of this process is feasible at the ILC and it can be useful to constrain the QCD dynamics at high energies.Comment: 11 pages, 8 figure

    Tetraquark Production in Double Parton Scattering

    We develop a model to study tetraquark production in hadronic collisions. We focus on double parton scattering and formulate a version of the color evaporation model for the production of the X(3872)X(3872) and of the T4cT_{4c} tetraquark, a state composed by the ccˉccˉc \bar{c} c \bar{c} quarks. We find that the production cross section grows rapidly with the collision energy s\sqrt{s} and make predictions for the forthcoming higher energy data of the LHC.Comment: 13 pages, 3 figures.     Coulomb corrections to inclusive cross sections at the future Electron - Ion Collider

    The experimental results of the future electron -- ion (eAe A) collider are expected to constrain the dynamics of the strong interactions at small values of the Bjorken -- xx variable and large nuclei. Recently it has been suggested that Coulomb corrections can be important in inclusive and diffractive eAeA interactions. In this paper we present a detailed investigation of the impact of the Coulomb corrections to some of the observables that will be measured in the future eAeA collider. In particular, we estimate the magnitude of these corrections for the charm and longitudinal cross sections in inclusive and diffractive interactions. Our results demonstrate that the Coulomb corrections for these observables are negligible, which implies that they can be used to probe the QCD dynamics.Comment: 9 pages, 6 figures.
