    Get PDF
In addition to ensuring database integrity, secure concurrency control techniques must be free of covert channels emerging from data conflicts between transactions. Transactions with higher access classes are mistreated by current secure concurrency control techniques. Because it solves the priority inversion problem more effectively. This paper introduces and evaluates a novel secure multiversion concurrency control technique. These experiments show that when comparing the proposed concurrency control algorithm to the SMVCC concurrency control protocol, the proposed algorithm outperforms the SMVCC protocol in terms of total average response time. ESMVCC has the lowest overall average transaction response time and the highest level of fairness among secure concurrency control protocols.   &nbsp

    Get PDF
X-rays are a crucial tool used by healthcare professionals to diagnose a range of medical conditions. However, it is important to keep in mind that a timely and accurate diagnosis is crucial for effective patient management and treatment. While chest X-rays can provide highly precise anatomical data, manual interpretation of the images can be time-consuming and prone to errors, which can lead to delays or incorrect diagnoses. To address these issues, healthcare systems have taken steps to improve diagnostic imaging services following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. While deep learning-based automated systems for classifying chest X-rays have shown promise, there are still several challenges that need to be addressed before they can be widely used in clinical settings, including the lack of comprehensive and high-quality datasets. To overcome these limitations, a real-time DICOM dataset, has been converted to JPEG format to increase processing speed and improve data control. Three pre-trained models and a convolutional neural network (CNN) model with low complexity and three convolutional layers for feature extraction, along with max pooling layers and ReLU and Softmax activation functions have been implemented. With an validation accuracy of 95.05% on their CNN model using the SGD optimizer, the result has been validated using a separate, real-time unlabeled DICOM dataset of 1000 X-ray images

Every region of India has access to the cooling sweet soft drink known as sugarcane juice. It is  an essential product on the world market since it has great health advantages. Sugarcane juice  competes with other soft drinks in the market pushed by health-conscious consumers, and the sugarcane growers profit financially. To extend the shelf life of sugarcane juice, processing must be combined with the development of appropriate preservation methods. Researchers have looked into a variety of sugarcane juice preservation techniques, including chemical, thermal, and non-thermal techniques. Pasteurization is one of the many methods that are used  for preserving sugarcane juice. Pasteurization, however, results in the loss of flavor, aroma, colour, taste, and vital nutrients. Non-thermal procedures, which can preserve the nutritional and sensory qualities of fresh juices, are now receiving more attention. This review article examines numerous preservation methods for sugarcane juice, analyses them, and suggests a course of action to assist determine the best method for doing so. Different criteria for different  types of technologies are discussed with their advantages and drawbacks. Technologies which  do not use chemical additives have also been discussed, while taking their industrial scalability and economical aspects under consideration. Prime focus is kept on developing a technology which is economical, industrially acceptable and greener for the environment

Development of olanzapine solid dispersion by spray drying technique using screening design for solubility enhancement

    Get PDF
Introduction: Olanzapine (OLZ) is a psychotropic class drug commonly used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and acute manic episodes. It has less water solubility, resulting in a slow dissolution rate and oral bioavailability. Therefore, the development in oral dosage forms is required to enhance the drug solubility. Method: The solid dispersion of olanzapine is prepared by spray drying technique. The solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone K-30 (PVP K-30), mono amino glycyrrhizinate pentahydrate (GLY), OLZ and silicon dioxide were dissolved in distilled water and ethanol and spray dried to get the solid dispersion. Solid dispersion was characterized for surface morphology, solubility, encapsulation efficiency (EE), X-ray diffraction (X-RD), Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) and drug-polymer interaction by Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy. Results: The amorphous nature of the drug's incorporation in solid dispersion was confirmed by X-RD analysis. Prepared solid dispersion showed higher solubility, 11.51 mg, than pure OLZ (0.983 mg ml-1), while the range of EE was found to be between 64 to 90 %. Conclusions: The solubility and dissolution rate of the OLZ can effectively increase by spray-dried solid dispersion. Plackett–Burman screening design plays a vital role in understanding the effect of independent variables on EE and solubility

Microwave assisted biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles using banana leaves extract: Phytochemical, spectral characterization, and anticancer activity studies

    Get PDF
Microwave assisted biosynthesis of nanoparticles has been a cost effective, environmentally benign, and alternative to the chemical method. In this context, we report eco-friendly and robust nanoparticles synthesized using the bio-waste (Banana leaves) extract material through a microwave method. The newly synthesized Banana Leaves extract -Silver Nanoparticles (BL-AgNPs) is confirmed by using the UV-Visible, FT-IR spectroscopy and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) techniques. UV-Vis spectrum shows the widening of the band around 476 nm, which confirms the polydispersed nature of BL-AgNPs. FT-IR spectroscopy explores that, hydroxyl and carbonyl groups in the Banana Leaves extract play vital role in the reduction of silver ions and also attach with AgNPs. The phytochemical studies reveal that, the polyphenols and alkaloids present in the BL extract act as reducing and stabilizing agent, which is responsible for the reduction of Ag+ (silver ions) to Ag (BL-AgNPs) and stabilization of BL-AgNPs. This clearly confirms the formation of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). SEM results revealed that, bead shape of BL-AgNPs with particle size of 80 to 100 nm. In conclusion, BL-AgNPs exhibits promising anticancer activity against lung cancer and breast cancer cell line by endorsing inhibition of cell migration and proliferation on low concentration

The U.S. Department of Energy has listed levulinic acid (LA) as one of the top 12 compounds derived from biomass. LA has gained much attention owing to its conversion into enantiopure 4-aminopentanoic acid through an amination reaction. Herein, we developed a coupled-enzyme recyclable cascade employing two transaminases (TAs) for the synthesis of (S)-4-aminopentanoic acid. TAs were first utilized to convert LA into (S)-4-aminopentanoic acid using (S)-α-Methylbenzylamine [(S)-α-MBA] as an amino donor. The deaminated (S)-α-MBA i.e., acetophenone was recycled back using a second TAs while using isopropyl amine (IPA) amino donor to generate easily removable acetone. Enzymatic reactions were carried out using different systems, with conversions ranging from 30% to 80%. Furthermore, the hybrid nanoflowers (HNF) of the fusion protein were constructed which afforded complete biocatalytic conversion of LA to the desired (S)-4-aminopentanoic acid. The created HNF demonstrated storage stability for over a month and can be reused for up to 7 sequential cycles. A preparative scale reaction (100 mL) achieved the complete conversion with an isolated yield of 62%. Furthermore, the applicability of this recycling system was tested with different β-keto ester substrates, wherein 18%–48% of corresponding β-amino acids were synthesized. Finally, this recycling system was applied for the biosynthesis of pharmaceutical important drug sitagliptin intermediate ((R)-3-amino-4-(2,4,5-triflurophenyl) butanoic acid) with an excellent conversion 82%

The discovery and characterization of hot and dense QCD matter, known as Quark Gluon Plasma (QGP), remains the most international collaborative effort and synergy between theorists and experimentalists in modern nuclear physics to date. The experimentalists around the world not only collect an unprecedented amount of data in heavy-ion collisions, at Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC), at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) in New York, USA, and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland but also analyze these data to unravel the mystery of this new phase of matter that filled a few microseconds old universe, just after the Big Bang. In the meantime, advancements in theoretical works and computing capability extend our wisdom about the hot-dense QCD matter and its dynamics through mathematical equations. The exchange of ideas between experimentalists and theoreticians is crucial for the progress of our knowledge. The motivation of this first conference named "HOT QCD Matter 2022" is to bring the community together to have a discourse on this topic. In this article, there are 36 sections discussing various topics in the field of relativistic heavy-ion collisions and related phenomena that cover a snapshot of the current experimental observations and theoretical progress. This article begins with the theoretical overview of relativistic spin-hydrodynamics in the presence of the external magnetic field, followed by the Lattice QCD results on heavy quarks in QGP, and finally, it ends with an overview of experiment results.Comment: Compilation of the contributions (148 pages) as presented in the `Hot QCD Matter 2022 conference', held from May 12 to 14, 2022, jointly organized by IIT Goa & Goa University, Goa, Indi
