Domain matched epitaxial growth of (111) Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 thin films on (0001) Al2O3 with ZnO buffer layer
Epitaxial (111) Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 (BST) thin films have been grown by pulsed laser deposition on (0001) Al2O3 substrate with ZnO as buffer layer. The x-ray omega-2 theta, Phi-scan and reciprocal space mapping indicate epitaxial nature of BST thin films. The domain matched epitaxial growth of BST thin films over ZnO buffer layer was confirmed using Fourier filtered high resolution transmission electron microscope images of the film-buffer interface. The incorporation of ZnO buffer layer effectively suppressed the lattice mismatch and promoted domain matched epitaxial growth of BST thin films. Coplanar inter digital capacitors fabricated on epitaxial (111) BST thin films show significantly improved tunable performance over polycrystalline thin films. (C) 2015 AIP Publishing LLC
Diagnoses and Management of Adult Cough: an Indian Environmental Medical Association (EMA) Position Paper (Preprint)
BACKGROUND
Cough is a common yet distressing symptom that results in significant health care costs from outpatient visits and related consultations.
OBJECTIVE
Understanding the pathobiology of cough in recent times has undergone an evolution with Cough hypersensitivity syndrome (CHS) being suggested in most cases of dry cough. In case of productive cough however ancillary mechanisms including impaired Mucociliary clearance in addition to hypermucosecretory bronchospastic conditions of Smoker’s cough, asthma-COPD overlap syndrome, AECB, allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis need to be critically addressed while optimizing patient care with symptomatic therapy in such cases while avoiding its misuse in most of the situations
METHODS
In this review, evidence-based graded recommendations on use of Pro- & Antitussives as a Position Paper were developed based on the Level and Quality of Scientific evidence as per Agency of Health Care and Quality Systems (AHRQ) and Clinical insights, offered by a multidisciplinary EMA panel in India.
RESULTS
Management of acute or chronic cough involves addressing common issues of environmental exposures and patient concerns before instituting supportive therapy with antitussives or bronchodilatory cough formulations containing mucoactives, anti-inflammatory or Beta-2 agonist agents
CONCLUSIONS
The analyses provides a real world approach on the management of acute or chronic cough in various clinical conditions including with Pro- or antitussive agents

The number and location of genes for 5S ribonucleic acid within the genome of Drosophila melanogaster
DNA was prepared from wild-type and two mutant stocks of Drosophila melanogaster that differed in their dosage of the nucleolar organizer region. The relative amounts of DNA from the nucleolar organizer region in these preparations of DNA were determined by hybridization with (3)H-labelled 28S rRNA. As expected, the amount of (3)H-labelled 28S rRNA that hybridized was directly related to the dosage of nucleolar organizer region. No positive correlation was observed between the amount of (3)H-labelled 5S RNA that hybridized and the dosage of nucleolar organizer region. Thus genes for 5S RNA are located primarily, if not exclusively, outside the nucleolar organizer region. The haploid genome of the wild-type D. melanogaster used in this work has 106 genes for 28S rRNA and 96–105 genes for 5S RNA
