Dynamic Modelling, Simulation and Comparison of Large Scale Carbon Dioxide Capture in Coal Fired Power Plant using Various Amine Solvents
Chemical absorption in post combustion capture of carbon dioxide (CO2) is the most feasible and economical technology to capture CO2. In the present work, the efficacy of CO2 capturing were studied for three different amine solvents-monoethanolamine (MEA), a mixed solvent composed of methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) and piperazine (PZ), called activated MDEA (a-MDEA) and aqueous ammonia (NH3) solution. In the first part of this study, an Aspen Plus simulation model was developed and in the second part, the simulation model was used to carry out sensitivity analyses. The different key parameters for different solvents were also determined and analysed in the present study. For MEA, the key parameters were the effects of type of packing, solvent temperature and absorber height on the reboiler duty. Activated-MDEA has two key process parameters which are variation of PZ concentration in the mixed solvent and the solvent to feed ratio with the CO2 recovery and energy consumption in the reboiler of the stripper. Finally, a complete state-of-art study was done for aqueous NH3 solution on several key parameters like NH3 concentration, CO2 loading, absorber height, temperature of absorber and stripper, flow rate of lean and rich solvent, boilup ratio, condenser temperature, regeneration energy and the reboiler duty. In the final part of the study, an overall comparison is done between the three solvents by taking cost economics into consideration and thus recommending the best solvent for CO2 capturing in Post Combustion Capture using chemical absorption. Energy consumption is the major challenge for this process. Paralleling more columns or capturing a part of the overall flue gas can reduce the energy consumption
Influence of Advertisement Message on Fitbar Billboard Towards Brand Awareness and Its Implication to Brand Image
The assumption that snacks could cause problem in diet and bodyweight, makes this study interesting. Because this product, Fitbar, appears on the market as a healthy snack that is contrary to this assumption. This product is about to prove that there is a healthy and tasty snack as snacks. Marketing communications through advertising billboards with the media aims to reach the target market. Fitbar billboard ads convey the message content in the form of information about the attributes and benefits of products such as nutritional content and product slogans. This study uses path analysis techniques to determine the effect of variable X (advertisement message) to variable Y (brand awareness) and its implications on the variable Z (brand image). The results showed that the content of the message components such as message structure, message display, message format, and the source of the message have contributed in the formation of brand awareness, which further on has implications on brand image. Influence on brand awareness message content is equal to 0.609. The effect of variable X (message) and Y (brand awareness) to variable Z (brand image) amounted to 0,365. Therefore, the use of billboards media in conveying the message to the target market of Fitbar products is to build brand awareness and the implications for brand image
THE USE OF CORPORATE COMMUNICATION EFFORT TO MAINTAIN A GOOD CORPORATE BRAND, BRAND IDENTITY, AND CORPORATE REPUTATION IN RESTAURANT OUTLETS
This study examines about corporate brand and corporate identity that will succeed if the company does branding along with corporate communication effort of the company. This company is a F&B business that has been running in the past few years in several cities and already has four outlets; located at Jakarta, Bali, and Yogyakarta. The first restaurant has been running for three years; began the business with ‘degustation’ private dining restaurant which is already expanded to casual dining restaurant in late 2015. This company already has brand identity and reputation in Jakarta and wants to maintain the brand identity and reputation in the other outlet of this company in Yogyakarta. The target market of the company is middle up to level A+, because this company wants to maintain regular clients that this company already have in all outlets. Moreover, brand identity of the restaurant is classy, elegant, Spanish authentic restaurant, and has a grade A quality. This study used literature review as a research method. With the tools of corporate communication by Hatch, Schultz, and Larsen (2001); brand identity and reputation of the restaurant in Jakarta will be implemented in Yogyakarta’s branch; which is already open for public last July. Given the difference of culture and region with Jakarta, it’s seen that some differences may apply to standard and perception to brand identity and reputation in Yogyakarta. Therefore, this research will discuss how to make these four things applicable in Yogyakarta by not reducing information and/or standard in Jakarta, by corporate communication effort
PEMAHAMAN KARAKTERISTIK PERKEMBANGAN DAN AKTIVITAS PEMBELAJARAN BAGI ANAK USIA DINI PADA PENGASUH DI TAMAN PENITIPAN ANAK (TPA) BINTANG
Child daycare is an alternative nurturing that can be chosen by working parents. In child daycare, caregivers have an important role so they are expected to have knowledge of child development and child learning activities. This study aims to find out the knowledge of the child development and child learning activities of caregivers in TPA Bintang (pseudonyms). This research using quantitative method which applied Kuesioner Pemahaman Karakteristik Perkembangan Anak and Kuesioner Aktivitas Pembelajaran bagi Anak, and qualitative method that observed the environment and learning activities of seven caregivers and interviewed of four caregivers. The result conveyed that caregivers have a good knowledge of child development but not accordant with the knowledge of implementation of child learning activity. These results can be used to design an intervening program to improve the caregivers’ capacity in applying their knowledge to children learning activities
