INCREASING THE LEVEL OF PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION INVOLVEMENT IN ACHIEVING A SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE REGIONS BY FOCUSING ON TOURISM
Tourism has a continuous movement in the 21st century, which requires to entrepreneurs / businesses (public and private) to make from the environment a priority. Because now tourism is the most developed industry in the world, the environment has a central stage in its development process. Tourism is not only a powerful economic force, but also a physical factor in the environment. How, in future, more attention will be attributed to environment, the projects economically feasible, but not in terms of ecology, will remain at the early stage of implementation. The environment is the core of a tourism product. Profitability of tourism depends on maintaining a high level of attractiveness of the destination that people want to see and explore. Any comprehensive analysis of the field, therefore, must be multidisciplinary, and calling for a study on tourism should be a net importer of ideas, themes and concepts from a wide range of social sciences. Studying this field helps us to examine more general economic processes, political, social, geographical and ecological. We should try to see tourism as a field research directly, as it is an activity that makes us better understand the world around us.tourism, sustainable development, dynamic process, system, management, region development.
Getting Phare Funds throught the Project „Investments in Tourism”
The commercial company „Vacanta Tur SRl” Buzau, during the 13 years of tourism activity, proves a good management and experience in implementing projects, having developed till today two projects „Building a tourist’s centre” in the spa Sarata Monteoru, Merei, named „Casa cu Tei” and „Developing the accommodation possibilities at the guesthouse Casa cu Tei”. Both projects have been realized through Phare Investments and personal financial contribution. As a result, the guesthouse „Casa cu Tei” has 16 rooms, totallz furnished and with modern facilities, a restaurant for 100 persons, a bar with 50 seats, a fitness hall, sauna and swimming pool. Presently, we are working at a third project to get Phare funds. This new one aims at developing the touristic resorts in romania. It is called „Investments in tourism”. The management quality (1st place in 2003, on the Top of the Chamber for Commerce, Industry and Agriculture - Buzau) but also the experience got by realizing the previous projects, co-financed through Phare, are reasons to support the conviction that „Vacanta Tur SRL” has the capacity to implement the project „Investments in tourism”, too.
Behavioural loyalty towards store brands.
This paper applies a consumer brand choice model to measure store brand (SB) loyalty. The aim of this paper is to examine whether SB loyalty is different across categories, and we focus on risk perception as an explanatory variable. The model is estimated using ACNielsen Spanish household scanner panel data on two laundry detergent categories over a 2 year period for more than 1107 households. Loyalty, price, socio demographics and shopping behaviour variables are included. The discrete choice model formulation is the logit modelStore brands; National brands; Brand loyalty; Logit model; Household scanner panel;
Effect of pH and nanoclay content on the morphology and physicochemicalproperties of soy protein/montmorillonite nanocomposite obtained byextrusion
The present work attempts to clarify the influence of montmorillonite nanoclay content and pH on the me-chanical properties of extruded soy protein nanocomposites. The mechanical behaviour is dominated by theformation of positive synergies between protein and nanoclay above a nanoclay concentration threshold.Moreover, the presence of nanoclay can improve water uptake. The pH also exerts a strong influence on me-chanical and water absorption properties, although montmorillonite tend to reduce this effect.Eventually, this study put forward the feasibility of using a combination of soy protein and montmorillonite toobtain potentially attractive biodegradable nanocomposite materials, processed by means of a simple and easilyscalable twin-screw extruder.
