Chromatographic, Spectrometric and NMR Characterization of a New Set of Glucuronic Acid Esters Synthesized by Lipase
An enzymatic synthesis was developed on a new set of D-glucuronic acid esters and particularly the tetradecyl-D-glucopyranosiduronate also named tetradecyl D-glucuronate. Chromatographic analyses revealed the presence of the ester as a mixture of anomeric forms for carbon chain lengths superior to 12. TOF/MS and MS/MS studies confirmed the synthesis of glucuronic acid ester. The NMR study also confirmed the structure of glucuronic acid esters and clearly revealed an anomeric (α/β) ratio equivalent to 3/

Mass Spectrometric Studies of Elusive Molecules that Contain an N+-X- Bond
peer reviewedThis review will be concerned with the gas phase chemistry of 1,2- and 1,3-dipolar systems that contain a carbon-nitrogen bond. Although most of these compounds are stable molecules under normal conditions, certain congeners are reactive species that can
Ion-Molecule Reaction of Pyridine with CS3 Radical Cations: Experimental Evidence for the Production of Pyridine N-thioxide Distonic Ions
peer reviewedChemical ionization of pyridine using carbon disulphide as the reagent gas leads to the formation of new distonic ions, pyridine N-thioxide radical cations, 2+.. The origin of these ions is unambiguously attributed to the reaction of CS3+. ions with neut

Qualitative and quantitative study of Saponin contents of five sea cucumbers of the Indian Ocean
peer reviewedTo avoid predation, holothuroids produce feeding-deterrent molecules in their body wall and viscera, the so-called saponins. Five tropical sea cucumber species of the family Holothuriidae were investigated in order to study their saponin content in two d
Pyridine N-Selenide Radical Cations: Synthesis, Characterization, Neutralization and Ion-molecule Reactions in the Gas Phase
peer reviewedCyanogen N-selenide radical cations, NCCNSe·+, react efficiently with neutral pyridine producing the elusive pyridine N-selenide radical cations. The structure of these new distonic ions has been established by high energy collisional activation (CA), ne
