Application of the ATLAS DAQ and Monitoring System for MDT and RPC Commissioning
The ATLAS DAQ and monitoring software are currently commonly used to test detectors during the commissioning phase. In this paper, their usage in MDT and RPC commissioning is described, both at the surface pre-commissioning and commissioning stations and in the ATLAS pit. Two main components are heavily used for detector tests. The ROD Crate DAQ software is based on the ATLAS Readout application. Based on the plug-in mechanism, it provides a complete environment to interface any kind of detector or trigger electronics to the ATLAS DAQ system. All the possible flavours of this application are used to test and run the MDT and RPC detectors at the pre-commissioning and commissioning sites. Ad-hoc plug-ins have been developed to implement data readout via VME, both with ROD prototypes and emulating final electronics to read out data with temporary solutions, and to provide trigger distribution and busy management in a multi-crate environment. Data driven event building functionality is also used to combine data from different detector technologies. Monitoring software provides a framework for on-line analysis during detector test. Monitoring applications have been developed for noise and cosmic tests and for pulse runs. The PERSINT event display has been interfaced to the monitoring system to provide an on-line event display for cosmic runs in the ATLAS pit
Measurement of the branching fraction for the decay KS --> pi e nu
We present a measurement of the branching ratio BR(KS --> pi e nu) performed
using the KLOE detector. KS mesons are produced in the reaction e+ e- --> phi
--> KS KL at the DAFNE collider. In a sample of about 5 million KS-tagged
events we find 624 +- 30 semileptonic KS decays. Normalizing to the KS --> pi+
pi- count in the same data sample, we obtain BR(KS --> pi e nu) = (6.91 +-
0.37) 10^-4, in agreement with the Standard Model expectation.Comment: 9 pages, 5 Encapsulated Postscript figures. Submitted to Phys. Lett.
Determination of CP and CPT violation parameters in the neutral kaon system using the Bell-Steinberger relation and data from the KLOE experiment
We present an improved determination of the CP and CPT violation parameters
Re(epsilon) and Im(delta) based on the unitarity condition (Bell-Steinberger
relation) and on recent results from the KLOE experiment. We find Re(epsilon) =
(159.6 \pm 1.3)10^-5 and Im(delta) = (0.4 \pm 2.1)10^-5, consistent with no CPT
violation.Comment: Submitted to JHE
Measurement of hadronic cross section and preliminary results on the pion form factor using the radiative return at DAPHNE
In the fixed energy environment of the collider DANE, KLOE
can measure the cross section of the process hadrons as a
function of the hadronic system energy using the radiative return. At energies
below 1 GeV, is the dominating
hadronic process. We report here on the status of the analysis for the
e^{+}e^{-} \to \ppg channel, which allows to obtain a preliminary measurement
of the pion form factor using an integrated luminosity of .Comment: Invited talk at the Seventh International Workshop on Tau Lepton

Study of the Decay phi --> eta pi0 gamma with the KLOE detector
In a sample of 5.3x10^7 phi-decays observed with the KLOE detector at the
Frascati phi-factory Dafne we find 605 eta pi0 gamma events with eta -->
gamma\gamma and 197 eta pi0 gamma events with eta --> pi+ pi- pi0. The decay
phi --> eta pi0 gamma is dominated by the process phi --> a0 gamma. From a fit
to the eta pi0 mass spectrum we find BR(phi --> ao(980) gamma)= (7.4 +-
0.7)x10^-5.Comment: 12 pages, 6 figures, submitted to Phys.Lett.
A direct search for the CP-violating decay Ks->3p^0 with the KLOE detector at DAFNE
We have searched for the decay Ks->3p^0 with the KLOE experiment at DAFNE
using data from e^+ e^- collisions at a center of mass energy W= m(phi) for an
integrated luminosity L=450 pb^-1. The search has been performed with a pure Ks
beam obtained by tagging with Kl interactions in the calorimeter and detecting
six photons. We find an upper limit for the branching ratio of 1.2x10^-7 at 90%

A global fit to determine the pseudoscalar mixing angle and the gluonium content of the eta' meson
We update the values of the eta-eta' mixing angle and of the eta' gluonium
content by fitting our measurement R_phi = BR(phi to eta' gamma)/ BR(phi to eta
gamma) together with several vector meson radiative decays to pseudoscalars (V
to P gamma), pseudoscalar mesons radiative decays to vectors (P to V gamma) and
the eta' to gamma gamma, pi^0 to gamma gamma widths. From the fit we extract a
gluonium fraction of Z^2_G = 0.12 +- 0.04, the pseudoscalar mixing angle psi_P
= (40.4 +- 0.6) degree and the phi-omega mixing angle psi_V = (3.32 +- 0.09)
degree. Z^2_G and psi_P are fairly consistent with those previously published.
We also evaluate the impact on the eta' gluonium content determination of
future experimental improvements of the eta' branching ratios and decay width.Comment: 13 pages, 7 figures to submit to JHE
