A new root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne moensi n. sp. (Nematoda : Meloidogynidae), parasitizing Robusta coffee from Western Highlands, Vietnam
A new root-knot nematode, parasitizing Robusta coffee in Dak Lak Province, Western Highlands of Vietnam, is described as Meloidogyne moensi n. sp. Morphological and molecular analyses demonstrated that this species differs clearly from other previously described root-knot nematodes. Morphologically, the new species is characterized by a swollen body of females with a small posterior protuberance that elongated from ovoid to saccate; perineal patterns with smooth striae, continuous and low dorsal arch; lateral lines marked as a faint space or linear depression at junction of the dorsal and ventral striate; distinct phasmids; perivulval region free of striae; visible and wide tail terminus surrounding by concentric circles of striae; medial lips of females in dumbbell-shaped and slightly raised above lateral lips; female stylet is normally straight with posteriorly sloping stylet knobs; lip region of second stage juvenile (J2) is not annulated; medial lips and labial disc of J2 formed dumbbell shape; lateral lips are large and triangular; tail of J2 is conoid with rounded unstriated tail tip; distinct phasmids and hyaline; dilated rectum. Meloidogyne moensi n. sp. is most similar to M. africana, M. ottersoni by prominent posterior protuberance. Results of molecular analysis of rDNA sequences including the D2-D3 expansion regions of 28S rDNA, COI, and partial COII/16S rRNA of mitochondrial DNA support for the new species status
Real-time Optimal Resource Allocation for Embedded UAV Communication Systems
We consider device-to-device (D2D) wireless information and power transfer
systems using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as a relay-assisted node. As the
energy capacity and flight time of UAVs is limited, a significant issue in
deploying UAV is to manage energy consumption in real-time application, which
is proportional to the UAV transmit power. To tackle this important issue, we
develop a real-time resource allocation algorithm for maximizing the energy
efficiency by jointly optimizing the energy-harvesting time and power control
for the considered (D2D) communication embedded with UAV. We demonstrate the
effectiveness of the proposed algorithms as running time for solving them can

A Unified Framework for Sparse Non-Negative Least Squares using Multiplicative Updates and the Non-Negative Matrix Factorization Problem
We study the sparse non-negative least squares (S-NNLS) problem. S-NNLS
occurs naturally in a wide variety of applications where an unknown,
non-negative quantity must be recovered from linear measurements. We present a
unified framework for S-NNLS based on a rectified power exponential scale
mixture prior on the sparse codes. We show that the proposed framework
encompasses a large class of S-NNLS algorithms and provide a computationally
efficient inference procedure based on multiplicative update rules. Such update
rules are convenient for solving large sets of S-NNLS problems simultaneously,
which is required in contexts like sparse non-negative matrix factorization
(S-NMF). We provide theoretical justification for the proposed approach by
showing that the local minima of the objective function being optimized are
sparse and the S-NNLS algorithms presented are guaranteed to converge to a set
of stationary points of the objective function. We then extend our framework to
S-NMF, showing that our framework leads to many well known S-NMF algorithms
under specific choices of prior and providing a guarantee that a popular
subclass of the proposed algorithms converges to a set of stationary points of
the objective function. Finally, we study the performance of the proposed

Sustainable Growth and Ethics: a Study of Business Ethics in Vietnam Between Business Students and Working Adults
Sustainable growth is not only the ultimate goal of business corporations but also the primary target of local governments as well as regional and global economies. One of the cornerstones of sustainable growth is ethics. An ethical organizational culture provides support to achieve sustainable growth. Ethical leaders and employees have great potential for positive influence on decisions and behaviors that lead to sustainability. Ethical behavior, therefore, is expected of everyone in the modern workplace. As a result, companies devote many resources and training programs to make sure their employees live according to the high ethical standards. This study provides an analysis of Vietnamese business students’ level of ethical maturity based on gender, education, work experience, and ethics training. The results of data from 260 business students compared with 704 working adults in Vietnam demonstrate that students have a significantly higher level of ethical maturity. Furthermore, gender and work experience are significant factors in ethical maturity. While more educated respondents and those who had completed an ethics course did have a higher level of ethical maturity, the results were not statistically significant. Analysis of the results along with suggestions and implications are provided
Theory and design of perfect reconstruction transmultiplexers and their relation to perfect reconstruction QMF banks
The theory of transmultiplexers involves the design of
filters for interconversion between Time Domain Multiplexing (TDM) and Frequency Division Multiplexing (FDM), such that the undesirable Crosstalk is minimized.
In TDM → FDM → TDM conversion, the perfect reconstruction
trans-multiplexer (PR-TMUX) achieves complete Crosstalk Cancellation (CC) and is distortion-free. In this
paper, we present an analysis of the PR-TMUX based
on the polyphase component matrices of the filter banks used in TDM → FDM and FDM → TDM conversion respectively. Using that, a necessary and sufficient condition for
complete CC is obtained. The close relation between
PR-TMUX filters and PR-QMF banks is used to obtain
a direct design procedure for PR-TMUX filters
