Pengaruh Book Tax Differences terhadap Pertumbuhan Laba

This study aims to find empirical evidence about the influence of book-tax differences on the earnings growth. Population of this research manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2008-2012. Sampling is done by using purposive sampling method. Sample of this study is composed of 355 companies during the five years observation. This study used multiple linear regression analysis for testing the influence of independent variables on dependent variable. The results showed that temporary differences has significant effect on the earnings growth. Permanent differences has no significant effect on the earnings growth one period ahea

Distribution of periodic points of polynomial diffeomorphisms of C^2

This paper deals with the dynamics of a simple family of holomorphic diffeomorphisms of \C^2: the polynomial automorphisms. This family of maps has been studied by a number of authors. We refer to [BLS] for a general introduction to this class of dynamical systems. An interesting object from the point of view of potential theory is the equilibrium measure μ\mu of the set KK of points with bounded orbits. In [BLS] μ\mu is also characterized dynamically as the unique measure of maximal entropy. Thus μ\mu is also an equilibrium measure from the point of view of the thermodynamical formalism. In the present paper we give another dynamical interpretation of μ\mu as the limit distribution of the periodic points of ff

The Julia sets and complex singularities in hierarchical Ising models

We study the analytical continuation in the complex plane of free energy of the Ising model on diamond-like hierarchical lattices. It is known that the singularities of free energy of this model lie on the Julia set of some rational endomorphism ff related to the action of the Migdal-Kadanoff renorm-group. We study the asymptotics of free energy when temperature goes along hyperbolic geodesics to the boundary of an attractive basin of ff. We prove that for almost all (with respect to the harmonic measure) geodesics the complex critical exponent is common, and compute it

Polynomial diffeomorphisms of C^2, IV: The measure of maximal entropy and laminar currents

This paper concerns the dynamics of polynomial automorphisms of C2{\bf C}^2. One can associate to such an automorphism two currents μ±\mu^\pm and the equilibrium measure μ=μ+μ\mu=\mu^+\wedge\mu^-. In this paper we study some geometric and dynamical properties of these objects. First, we characterize μ\mu as the unique measure of maximal entropy. Then we show that the measure μ\mu has a local product structure and that the currents μ±\mu^\pm have a laminar structure. This allows us to deduce information about periodic points and heteroclinic intersections. For example, we prove that the support of μ\mu coincides with the closure of the set of saddle points. The methods used combine the pluripotential theory with the theory of non-uniformly hyperbolic dynamical systems

Progressive regression of left ventricular hypertrophy two years after bariatric surgery.

BACKGROUND: Obesity is a systemic disorder associated with an increase in left ventricular mass and premature death and disability from cardiovascular disease. Although bariatric surgery reverses many of the hormonal and hemodynamic derangements, the long-term collective effects on body composition and left ventricular mass have not been considered before. We hypothesized that the decrease in fat mass and lean mass after weight loss surgery is associated with a decrease in left ventricular mass. METHODS: Fifteen severely obese women (mean body mass index [BMI]: 46.7+/-1.7 kg/m(2)) with medically controlled hypertension underwent bariatric surgery. Left ventricular mass and plasma markers of systemic metabolism, together with body mass index (BMI), waist and hip circumferences, body composition (fat mass and lean mass), and resting energy expenditure were measured at 0, 3, 9, 12, and 24 months. RESULTS: Left ventricular mass continued to decrease linearly over the entire period of observation, while rates of weight loss, loss of lean mass, loss of fat mass, and resting energy expenditure all plateaued at 9 [corrected] months (P \u3c.001 for all). Parameters of systemic metabolism normalized by 9 months, and showed no further change at 24 months after surgery. CONCLUSIONS: Even though parameters of obesity, including BMI and body composition, plateau, the benefits of bariatric surgery on systemic metabolism and left ventricular mass are sustained. We propose that the progressive decrease of left ventricular mass after weight loss surgery is regulated by neurohumoral factors, and may contribute to improved long-term survival

Genome-wide association study of REM sleep behavior disorder in Parkinson’s disease

REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD), is a prodromal synucleinopathy affecting a subset of Parkinson’s disease (PD) patients and associated with neuropsychiatric symptoms. This study compared the genetic profiles of 13,020 PD patients with probable RBD (PD + RBD) and 5403 without (PD-RBD) using genome-wide association study (GWAS). RBD was assessed by questionnaires or self-reporting. Potential genetic correlations between neuropsychiatric traits and PD + RBD were assessed using linkage disequilibrium score regression. The top variant in the SNCA locus was associated with PD + RBD (rs10005233-T, OR = 1.21, 95% CI = 1.16–1.27, p = 1.81e−15). PD risk variants in SNCA (rs5019538-G, OR = 0.85, 95% CI = 0.81–0.89, p = 2.46e−10; rs356182-G, OR = 0.89, 95% CI = 0.84–0.95, p = 0.0001) and LRRK2 loci (rs34637584, OR = 0.41, 95% CI = 0.28–0.61, p = 1.04e−5) were associated with reduced PD + RBD risk. A suggestive genetic correlation between attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and PD + RBD was observed but was not statistically significant after correction. These findings highlight genetic distinctions between PD + RBD and PD-RBD, offering insights into PD stratification and potential subtype-specific treatments
