Determination of the Michel Parameters rho, xi, and delta in tau-Lepton Decays with tau --> rho nu Tags
Using the ARGUS detector at the storage ring DORIS II, we have
measured the Michel parameters , , and for
decays in -pair events produced at
center of mass energies in the region of the resonances. Using
as spin analyzing tags, we find , , , , and . In addition, we report
the combined ARGUS results on , , and using this work
und previous measurements.Comment: 10 pages, well formatted postscript can be found at

Study of B -> \rho \pi decays at Belle
This paper describes a study of B meson decays to the pseudoscalar-vector
final state \rho\pi using 31.9\times 10^6 B\bar{B} events collected with the
Belle detector at KEKB. The branching fractions B(B^+ \to \rho^0\pi^+) =
(8.0^{+2.3+0.7}_{-2.0-0.7}) \times 10^{-6} and B(B^0 -> \rho^{+-} \pi^{-+}) =
(20.8^{+6.0+2.8}_{-6.3-3.1}) \times 10^{-6} are obtained. In addition, a 90%
confidence level upper limit of B(B^0 \to \rho^0\pi^0) < 5.3 \times 10^{-6}is
reported.Comment: 14 pages, 3 figures, to be submitted to Phys. Lett.
Spectral Correlation in Incommensurate Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes
We investigate the energy spectra of clean incommensurate double-walled
carbon nanotubes, and find that the overall spectral properties are described
by the so-called critical statistics of Anderson metal-insulator transition. In
the energy spectra, there exist three different regimes characterized by
Wigner-Dyson, Poisson, and semi-Poisson distributions. This feature implies
that the electron transport in incommensurate multi-walled nanotubes can be
either diffusive, ballistic, or intermediate between them, depending on the
position of the Fermi energy.Comment: final version to appear in Phys. Rev. Let
Observation of B+ to Lambda Lambdabar K+
We report the first observation of the charmless hyperonic B decay, B^+ -->
Lambda Lambdabar K^+, using a 140 fb^-1 data sample recorded at the Upsilon(4S)
resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB e^+e^- collider. The measured
branching fraction is B(B^+ --> Lambda Lambdabar K^+) = 2.91 ^{+0.90}_{-0.70}
+/- 0.38 *10^-6 . We also perform a search for the related decay mode B^+ -->
Lambda Lambdabar pi^+, but do not find a significant signal. We set a 90%
confidence-level upper limit of B(B^+ --> Lambda Lambdabar pi^+) < 2.8 * 10^-6.Comment: 9 pages, 3 figures, submitted to Phys. Rev. Let
Observation of B+- -> omega K+- Decay
We report the first observation of the charmless two-body mode decay, and a new measurement of the branching fraction for the
decay. The measured branching fractions are
and . %and we set 90% confidence
level upper limits of %.
We also measure the partial rate asymmetry of decays
and obtain . The results are based on
a data sample of 29.4 fb collected on the resonance by
the Belle detector at the KEKB collider.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figures, resubmitted to Phys. Rev. Let
Measurements of Branching Fractions and CP Asymmetries in B-> etah Decays
We report measurements of B to pseudoscalar-pseudoscalar decays with at least
one eta meson in the final state using 140 fb^{-1} of data collected by the
Belle detector at KEKB e^+ e^- collider. We observe the decay B^+-> eta pi^+
and find evidence of B^+-> eta K+; the measured branching fractions are B(B^+->
eta pi^+)=(4.8^{+0.8}_{-0.7}(stat) +- 0.3(sys))*10^{-6} and B(B^+-> eta
K^+)=(2.1 +- 0.6(stat)+- 0.2(sys))*10^{-6}. Their corresponding CP violating
asymmetries are measured to be 0.07+- 0.15 (stat) +- 0.03(sys) for eta pi^+-
and -0.49+- 0.31 (stat) +- 0.07(sys) for eta K^+-. No significant signals are
found for neutral B->eta h decays. We report the following upper limits on
branching fractions at the 90% confidence level: B(B-> eta K^0 < 2.0* 10^{-6},
B(B-> eta pi0) eta eta) <2.0*10^{-6}.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figure
Observation of B0->pi0pi0
We report the first observation of the decay B0->pi0pi0, using a 253/fb data
sample collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the
KEKB e+e- collider. The measured branching fraction is BF(B0->pi0pi0) = {2.32
+0.4-0.5(stat) +0.2-0.3(syst)} x 10^-6, with a significance of 5.8 standard
deviations including systematic uncertainties. We also make the first
measurement of the direct CP violating asymmetry in this mode.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures, submitted to ICHEP04, Beijing and Physical Review

Inclusive Production Cross Sections from 920 GeV Fixed Target Proton-Nucleus Collisions
Inclusive differential cross sections and
for the production of \kzeros, \lambdazero, and
\antilambda particles are measured at HERA in proton-induced reactions on C,
Al, Ti, and W targets. The incident beam energy is 920 GeV, corresponding to
GeV in the proton-nucleon system. The ratios of differential
cross sections \rklpa and \rllpa are measured to be and , respectively, for \xf . No significant dependence upon the
target material is observed. Within errors, the slopes of the transverse
momentum distributions also show no significant
dependence upon the target material. The dependence of the extrapolated total
cross sections on the atomic mass of the target material is
discussed, and the deduced cross sections per nucleon are
compared with results obtained at other energies.Comment: 17 pages, 7 figures, 5 table
Observation of -> DsJ*(2317)+ K- decay
The decays and
are studied for the first time. A significant signal is observed in the
decay channel with . No signals are observed in
the ,
and decay modes, and upper limits are
obtained. The analysis is based on a dataset of 140 fb collected by the
Belle experiment at the asymmetric collider KEKB.Comment: 9 pages, 2 figures, submitted to PR
Improved Measurements of Partial Rate Asymmetry in B -> h h Decays
We report improved measurements of the partial rate asymmetry (Acp) in B -> h
h decays with 140fb^-1 of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB
e+e- collider. Here h stands for a charged or neutral pion or kaon and in total
five decay modes are included: K-+ pi+-, K0s pi-+, K-+ pi0, pi-+ pi0 and K0s
pi0. The flavor of the last decay mode is determined from the accompanying B
meson. Using a data sample 4.7 times larger than that of our previous
measurement, we find Acp(K-+ pi+-) -0.088+-0.035+-0.013, 2.4 sigma from zero.
Results for other decay modes are also presented.Comment: 9 pages, 1 figur
