Connection, Trust, and Commitment: Dimensions of Co-creation?
The purpose of this research is to identify a key driver of relationship closeness for service organizations. Based upon the co-creation concept from Service-Dominant Logic, connection is proposed as a new construct rooted in emotional attachment that bolsters the effect of trust and commitment on future intention among customers of a service-intense organization. Causal models are verified with a large empirical sample drawn from an organization in the process of dealing with the increasing sense of depersonalization that has afflicted growing organizations in a variety of industries. The paper distinguishes an important dimension of customer relationships that can be affected by service managers in order to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction
Questions éthiques et cliniques posées par l'adoption de l'initiative sur l'internement à vie des délinquants particulièrement dangereux par le peuple suisse
Une initiative populaire se concluant par un vote national a conduit le peuple suisse à demander une modification de sa constitution pour permettre d'interner définitivement certains délinquants particulièrement dangereux. Une fois la décision prise, aucune véritable réévaluation de la situation ne pourra être effectuée. Cette décision se basera principalement sur l'expertise psychiatrique qui devra se prononcer sur le caractère inamendable ou inaccessible à tout traitement de tels sujets. Cet article présente l'historique de la démarche populaire qui a conduit à ce vote et la manière dont l'Etat suisse a rendu compte de cette votation en tentant de l'inscrire dans son code pénal. Pourtant le texte voté se présentait d'une manière telle qu'il rendait impossible son inscription autant dans un discours juridique que dans un discours psychiatrique. Il confronte maintenant les praticiens à des questions éthiques majeures. Doit-on accepter de s'inscrire dans un tel processus pénal? Peut-on valider par une expertise un pronostic qui engage la vie entière d'une personne lorsque l'on connaît le caractère incertain et donc discutable des approches prédictives? Comment tout un Etat de droit a-t-il pu laisser se développer un tel leurre quant à la place de la psychiatrie dans la cité? [Auteurs]]]>

<![CDATA[The European Conference on Infections in Leukemia (ECIL) provides recommendations for diagnostic strategies and prophylactic, pre-emptive or targeted therapy strategies for various types of infection in patients with hematologic malignancies or hematopoietic stem cell transplantation recipients. Meetings are held every two years since 2005 and evidence-based recommendations are elaborated after evaluation of the literature and discussion among specialists of nearly all European countries. In this manuscript, the ECIL group presents the 2015-update of the recommendations for the targeted treatment of invasive candidiasis, aspergillosis and mucormycosis. Current data now allow a very strong recommendation in favor of echinocandins for first-line therapy of candidemia irrespective of the underlying predisposing factors. Anidulafungin has been given the same grading as the other echinocandins for hemato-oncological patients. The beneficial role of catheter removal in candidemia is strengthened. Aspergillus guidelines now recommend the use of either voriconazole or isavuconazole for first-line treatment of invasive aspergillosis, while first-line combination antifungal therapy is not routinely recommended. As only few new data were published since the last ECIL guidelines, no major changes were made to mucormycosis recommendations
Minimum Degree up to Local Complementation: Bounds, Parameterized Complexity, and Exact Algorithms
The local minimum degree of a graph is the minimum degree that can be reached
by means of local complementation. For any n, there exist graphs of order n
which have a local minimum degree at least 0.189n, or at least 0.110n when
restricted to bipartite graphs. Regarding the upper bound, we show that for any
graph of order n, its local minimum degree is at most 3n/8+o(n) and n/4+o(n)
for bipartite graphs, improving the known n/2 upper bound. We also prove that
the local minimum degree is smaller than half of the vertex cover number (up to
a logarithmic term). The local minimum degree problem is NP-Complete and hard
to approximate. We show that this problem, even when restricted to bipartite
graphs, is in W[2] and FPT-equivalent to the EvenSet problem, which
W[1]-hardness is a long standing open question. Finally, we show that the local
minimum degree is computed by a O*(1.938^n)-algorithm, and a
O*(1.466^n)-algorithm for the bipartite graphs
Periodic harmonic functions on lattices and points count in positive characteristic
This survey addresses pluri-periodic harmonic functions on lattices with
values in a positive characteristic field. We mention, as a motivation, the
game "Lights Out" following the work of Sutner, Goldwasser-Klostermeyer-Ware,
Barua-Ramakrishnan-Sarkar, Hunzikel-Machiavello-Park e.a.; see also 2 previous
author's preprints for a more detailed account. Our approach explores harmonic
analysis and algebraic geometry over a positive characteristic field. The
Fourier transform allows us to interpret pluri-periods of harmonic functions on
lattices as torsion multi-orders of points on the corresponding affine

Spin-transfer in an open ferromagnetic layer: from negative damping to effective temperature
Spin-transfer is a typical spintronics effect that allows a ferromagnetic
layer to be switched by spin-injection. Most of the experimental results about
spin transfer are described on the basis of the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert
equation of the magnetization, in which additional current-dependent damping
factors are added, and can be positive or negative. The origin of the damping
can be investigated further by performing stochastic experiments, like one shot
relaxation experiments under spin-injection in the activation regime of the
magnetization. In this regime, the N\'eel-Brown activation law is observed
which leads to the introduction of a current-dependent effective temperature.
In order to justify the introduction of these counterintuitive parameters
(effective temperature and negative damping), a detailed thermokinetic analysis
of the different sub-systems involved is performed. We propose a thermokinetic
description of the different forms of energy exchanged between the electric and
the ferromagnetic sub-systems at a Normal/Ferromagnetic junction. The
corresponding Fokker Planck equations, including relaxations, are derived. The
damping coefficients are studied in terms of Onsager-Casimir transport
coefficients, with the help of the reciprocity relations. The effective
temperature is deduced in the activation regime.Comment: 65 pages, 10 figure
Spin relaxation in low-dimensional systems
We review some of the newest findings on the spin dynamics of carriers and
excitons in GaAs/GaAlAs quantum wells. In intrinsic wells, where the optical
properties are dominated by excitonic effects, we show that exciton-exciton
interaction produces a breaking of the spin degeneracy in two-dimensional
semiconductors. In doped wells, the two spin components of an optically created
two-dimensional electron gas are well described by Fermi-Dirac distributions
with a common temperature but different chemical potentials. The rate of the
spin depolarization of the electron gas is found to be independent of the mean

Photoluminescence investigations of 2D hole Landau levels in p-type single Al_{x}Ga_{1-x}As/GaAs heterostructures
We study the energy structure of two-dimensional holes in p-type single
Al_{1-x}Ga_{x}As/GaAs heterojunctions under a perpendicular magnetic field.
Photoluminescence measurments with low densities of excitation power reveal
rich spectra containing both free and bound-carrier transitions. The
experimental results are compared with energies of valence-subband Landau
levels calculated using a new numerical procedure and a good agreement is
achieved. Additional lines observed in the energy range of free-carrier
recombinations are attributed to excitonic transitions. We also consider the

Energy spectra of fractional quantum Hall systems in the presence of a valence hole
The energy spectrum of a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) in the
fractional quantum Hall regime interacting with an optically injected valence
band hole is studied as a function of the filling factor and the
separation between the electron and hole layers. The response of the 2DEG
to the hole changes abruptly at of the order of the magnetic length
. At , the hole binds electrons to form neutral () or
charged () excitons, and the photoluminescence (PL) spectrum probes the
lifetimes and binding energies of these states rather than the original
correlations of the 2DEG. The ``dressed exciton'' picture (in which the
interaction between an exciton and the 2DEG was proposed to merely enhance the
exciton mass) is questioned. Instead, the low energy states are explained in
terms of Laughlin correlations between the constituent fermions (electrons and
's) and the formation of two-component incompressible fluid states in the
electron--hole plasma. At , the hole binds up to two Laughlin
quasielectrons (QE) of the 2DEG to form fractionally charged excitons
QE. The previously found ``anyon exciton'' QE is shown to be
unstable at any value of . The critical dependence of the stability of
different QE complexes on the presence of QE's in the 2DEG leads to the
