    Energi angin merupakan salah satu potensi energi terbarukan yang dapat memberikan kontribusiterhadap kebutuhan energi listrik rumah tinggal. Pembangkit energi angin bebas polusi (CO2)maka pembangkit ini dapat menjawab masalah lingkungan hidup dan ketersediaan sumber energysifatnya dapat diperbaharui (renewable) serta penelitian ini mendukung program pemerintah kotaPadang untuk menjadi lumbung energy terbarukan. Tujuan yang ingin dihasilkan adalah dibuatnyasebuah turbin angin dalam kapasitas kecil (micro) yang dapat membantu menyuplai listrik sebuahrumah tinggal dan mampu beroperasi di daerah kecepatan angin rendah kemudian dapat di set uppada atap rumah. Metodologi yang digunakan untuk pencapaian tujuan adalah metodaeksperimental dengan tahap-tahapan sebagai berikut pengambilan data angin lapangan; disainturbin angin; pemilihan bahan; pembuatan turbin angin dan pengujian alat. Kota Padang Sumbartermasuk wilayah yang memiliki kecepatan angin rendah antara 2-6 m/s, maka jenis turbin anginyang cocok adalah turbin angin tipe savonius karena bisa berputar pada kecepatan angin rendah(low wind velocity) dengan putaran awal (starting) dapat terjadi pada kecepatan 2m/s sertakonstruksinya yang sangat sederhana. Disain turbin yang dibuat adalah berbentuk savonius 2 sududengan konstruksi overlap antara kedua sudu dengan tujuan untuk memanfaatkan tekanan anginbalikan dari sudu satu ke sudu kedua dan sebaliknya sehingga dapat meningkatkan putaran rotor.Rancangan turbin savonius di buat 4 tingkat. Bahan yang digunakan untuk sudu turbin adalahaluminium dan jenis poros hollow. Generator yang dipakai adalah generator magnet permanenPanasonic 400watt yang dapat menghasilkan daya pada putaran rendah (150 rpm) ; Untukmeningkatkan rpm yang sampai ke generator digunakan system transmisi sabuk dan pully denganperbandingan transmisi 5:1. Kemudian tipe bearing yang digunakan adalah ball bearingbearing.Dari hasil pengujian didapat daya maksimum yang dihasilkan adalah 7,7watt dengan putaran rotor340rpm dengan kecepatan angin 5,68m/s dan Cp 0.

    Comparison of the Mechanical Properties of Four-layer Epoxy Composite Reinforced with Natural Jute Fibers and Symmetrical E-glass Synthetic Fibers

    Research that produces environmentally friendly products continues to be developing. Research related to the natural fiber jute material and epoxy matrix has done. Epoxy composite jute empowered do with the preparation of symmetry with four layers of fiber volume fraction of 27.89% and composite epoxy e-glass Fiber empowered four balance with 28.86% fiber volume fraction. Mechanical testing is done via Drag test to determine the tensile strength and stretch. From the analysis, it\u27s finding that the tensile strength of the symmetry jute fiber reinforced epoxy tensile strength was 48,378 MPa, and the strain was 11,998%. Meanwhile, the tensile strength and pressure in empowered epoxy e-glass fiber symmetry of four layers, each for 95.516 MPa and 7.7032%. Characterization has also been carried out through SEM testing. The results show that e-glass fiber fractures can still be seen as regular and tend to be straight and flat rods compared to symmetrical fiber-reinforced jute composite epoxy composites whose fibers are irregular. So that shows that the strength of the epoxy composite reinforced e-glass fiber is very large compared to the strength of the four-layer jute fiber-reinforced epoxy composite symmetry

    Frequency of Clinical Symptoms of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease in Asthmatic Patients

    Background: Gastroesophageal reflex is known as an acid reflex, is long term condition where stomach contents back into the oesophagus resulting in either symptoms or complications. GERD disease is caused by weakness or failure of the lower oesophageal sphincter. Symptoms include the acidic taste behind the mouth, heart burn, chest pain, difficult breathing and vomiting. Complication includes esophagitis, oesophageal strictures and barrettes oesophagus. Objective: The aim of this research was to introduce the symptoms of GERD disease in asthmatic patients and how these symptoms worsen the symptoms of asthma disease and what clinical pictures present with the asthmatic disease. Methodology: A designed performa was used to collect the data and after filling the performa, results were drawn and conclusion through the facts and the information given by patients. Results: In the present study among all 164 asthmatic patients, 70 (42.7%) patients showed dyspepsia, 58 (35.4%) were with chest burning, 23 (14%) were asking about chest pain, with acidic mouth taste were 39 (23.8%), 22 (13.4%) were feeling sore throat and 44 (26.8%) showed regurgitation reflex. Among these 164 patients 16 (9.8%) were smokers and 148 (90.2 %) were non-smokers. 47 (28.7%) were males and 117 (71.3%) were females. Conclusion: It is concluded that gastroesophageal reflux disease in asthmatic patients present symptoms of acidic mouth taste, chest burning, chest pain, dyspepsia, regurgitation reflex and sore throat

    The aims of this research are to know ;1) the influence of corporate socialresponsibility (CSR) to firm value,and, 2) the influence of profitability andleverage as the moderating variables in relation between corporate socialresponsibility and firm value. The research sample is manufacturing sector inperiod 2010-2012 by using purposive sampling method. There are 37 companiesfulfilling criterion as this research sample. The research data was analyzed usingmoderated regression analysis with SPSS version 17.0.The results of this research showid that corporate social responsibility had apositive effect on firm value. For moderating proxies by return on asset andleverage proxies by debt to equity ratio were not a moderating variable inrelation between CSR and firm value.Keyword : Corporate Social Responsibility, Firm Value, Profitability, andLeverage
