Characteristic Length Scale of Electric Transport Properties of Genomes
A tight-binding model together with a novel statistical method are used to
investigate the relation between the sequence-dependent electric transport
properties and the sequences of protein-coding regions of complete genomes. A
correlation parameter is defined to analyze the relation. For some
particular propagation length , the transport behaviors of the coding
and non-coding sequences are very different and the correlation reaches its
maximal value . and \omax are characteristic values for
each species. The possible reason of the difference between the features of
transport properties in the coding and non-coding regions is the mechanism of
DNA damage repair processes together with the natural selection.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure
Anisotropic Flow and Viscous Hydrodynamics
We report part of our recent work on viscous hydrodynamics with consistent
phase space distribution f(x,\p) for freeze out. We develop the gradient
expansion formalism based on kinetic theory, and with the constraints from the
comparison between hydrodynamics and kinetic theory, viscous corrections to
f(x,\p) can be consistently determined order by order. Then with the obtained
f(x,\p), second order viscous hydrodynamical calculations are carried out for

complex field C. An interesting problem in matrix theory is that "are there two

all A in M_n. We will investigate this problem and its various aspects and will

Tracing the Pathway from Drift-Wave Turbulence with Broken Symmetry to the Generation of Sheared Axial Mean Flow
This study traces the emergence of sheared axial flow from collisional drift
wave turbulence with broken symmetry in a linear plasma device---CSDX. As the
density profile steepens, the axial Reynolds stress develops and drives a
radially sheared axial flow that is parallel to the magnetic field. Results
show that the non-diffusive piece of the Reynolds stress is driven by the
density gradient and results from the spectral asymmetry of the turbulence and
thus is dynamical in origin. Taken together, these findings constitute the
first simultaneous demonstration of the causal link between the density
gradient, turbulence and stress with broken spectral symmetry, and the mean
axial flow
Strong decays of in an extended chiral quark model
The strong decays of the resonance are investigated in an
extended chiral quark model by including the low-lying components
in addition to the component. The results show that these five-quark
components in contribute significantly to the and decays. The contributions to the decay
come from both the lowest energy and the next-to-lowest energy five-quarks
components, while the contributions to the decay come from only the
latter one. Taking these contributions into account, the description for the
strong decays of is improved, especially, for the puzzling large

A Multi-Moded RF Delay Line Distribution System for the Next Linear Collider
The Delay Line Distribution System (DLDS) is an alternative to conventional
pulse compression, which enhances the peak power of rf sources while matching
the long pulse of those sources to the shorter filling time of accelerator
structures. We present an implementation of this scheme that combines pairs of
parallel delay lines of the system into single lines. The power of several
sources is combined into a single waveguide delay line using a multi-mode
launcher. The output mode of the launcher is determined by the phase coding of
the input signals. The combined power is extracted from the delay line using
mode-selective extractors, each of which extracts a single mode. Hence, the
phase coding of the sources controls the output port of the combined power. The
power is then fed to the local accelerator structures. We present a detailed
design of such a system, including several implementation methods for the
launchers, extractors, and ancillary high power rf components. The system is
designed so that it can handle the 600 MW peak power required by the NLC design
while maintaining high efficiency.Comment: 25 pages, 11 figure
The classification of traveling wave solutions and superposition of multi-solutions to Camassa-Holm equation with dispersion
Under the traveling wave transformation, Camassa-Holm equation with
dispersion is reduced to an integrable ODE whose general solution can be
obtained using the trick of one-parameter group. Furthermore combining complete
discrimination system for polynomial, the classifications of all single
traveling wave solutions to the Camassa-Holm equation with dispersion is
obtained. In particular, an affine subspace structure in the set of the
solutions of the reduced ODE is obtained. More general, an implicit linear
structure in Camassa-Holm equation with dispersion is found. According to the
linear structure, we obtain the superposition of multi-solutions to
Camassa-Holm equation with dispersion
