Identification of native fish in Hamedan province (Gamaciyab)
This study was carried out from 2001 to 2002 in Gamasyab River of Hamadan province of Iran in order to identification of indigenous species of this water resource. The main objective of this study was to fish identification for scientific purposes, geographical distribution pattern, preparation atlas of the fishes, introduction of commercial species and awareness on ecological situation of their natural habitats. Also providing necessary information for conservation and sustainable use of these valuable stocks and minimizing environmental impacts of unsecured utilization. Sampling were carried out by selecting 15 sampling stations through the river and fishing by electro fisher and cast net. Identification accomplished by valid identification keys in species level. Photography and slides provides and 10 pieces of each species tagged by unique codes for preservation in national museum. 50 morphometric and meristic characteristics studied for scientific identification.. Indigenous fishes belong to 14 species, 10 genus, 3 family and 2 order. Indeed 2 exotic species belong to Cyprinidae and Salmonidae families recognized. From these indigenous species, 11 belong to Cyprinidae family and only one species belong to Sisoridae family
Ecological studies of Bisheh-palan Wetland (Broojerd)
Bisheh-Dalan wetland is located in southern of Broojerd city near the Tireh River with 914 hectares area.This survey was done in 2002-2003.Water temperature variation between 8 at 23/5 °C, the quantity pH between 6.5-7.4, Ec between 362-443 μm/cm, minimum-dissolved oxygen 5/5 mg/l in Bisheh-Dalan area. The phytoplankton comprised 4 families and 15 genus include (Microcystis Gloeotrehia Gloeocapsa, Merismopedia Ceratium, Glenodinium, Gymnodinium, Peridinium Closterium, Stauratrum, Treubaria, Cymbella, Cyclotella, Nitzchia, Navieula), the zooplanktons had 3 families and 10 genus, consist (Stmocephalus, Shnucephalus, Diaphanasoma, Simocephalus, Daphnia, Eueyclops, Attheylla, Cyclops, Trinema, Aeanthoeyclops) and the benthos have been had 10 orders and 15 families with names (Ecdyonuridae, Caenidae, Baetidae, Chiranomidae, Calicidae, Dytiscidae, Limmaeidae, Planorbiidae, Glossosomatidae , Tubificidae, Erpobdellidae, Planariidae, Gammaridae) in Bisheh-Dalan area. The fishes of Bisheh-Dalan wetland composed 2 family with names Cyprinidae and poeciliidae with 7 genus and 8 species. Maximum number of fishes located to Capoeta with 2 Species
Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor to Monitor Stress Kinetics in Drying Process of Commercial Latex Paints
In this paper, we report a study about the application of packaged fiber Bragg gratings used as strain sensors to monitor the stress kinetics during the drying process of commercial latex paints. Three stages of drying with distinct mechanical deformation and temporal behaviors were identified for the samples, with mechanical deformation from 15 μm to 21 μm in the longitudinal film dimension on time intervals from 370 to 600 minutes. Drying time tests based on human sense technique described by the Brazilian Technical Standards NBR 9558 were also done. The results obtained shows that human sense technique has a limited perception of the drying process and that the optical measurement system proposed can be used to characterize correctly the dry-through stage of paint. The influence of solvent (water) addition in the drying process was also investigated. The paint was diluted with four parts paint and one part water (80% paint), and one part paint and one part water (50% paint). It was observed that the increase of the water ratio mixed into the paint decreases both the mechanical deformation magnitude and the paint dry-through time. Contraction of 5.2 μm and 10.4 μm were measured for concentrations of 50% and 80% of paint in the mixture, respectively. For both diluted paints the dry-through time was approximately 170 minutes less than undiluted paint. The optical technique proposed in this work can contribute to the development of new standards to specify the drying time of paint coatings
Tackling dementia together via the Australian dementia network (ADNeT): A summary of initiatives, progress and plans
In 2018, the Australian Dementia Network (ADNeT) was established to bring together Australia\u27s leading dementia researchers, people with living experience and clinicians to transform research and clinical care in the field. To address dementia diagnosis, treatment, and care, ADNeT has established three core initiatives: the Clinical Quality Registry (CQR), Memory Clinics, and Screening for Trials. Collectively, the initiatives have developed an integrated clinical and research community, driving practice excellence in this field, leading to novel innovations in diagnostics, clinical care, professional development, quality and harmonization of healthcare, clinical trials, and translation of research into practice. Australia now has a national Registry for Mild Cognitive Impairment and dementia with 55 participating clinical sites, an extensive map of memory clinic services, national Memory and Cognition Clinic Guidelines and specialized screening for trials sites in five states. This paper provides an overview of ADNeT\u27s achievements to date and future directions. With the increase in dementia cases expected over coming decades, and with recent advances in plasma biomarkers and amyloid lowering therapies, the nationally coordinated initiatives and partnerships ADNeT has established are critical for increased national prevention efforts, co-ordinated implementation of emerging treatments for Alzheimer\u27s disease, innovation of early and accurate diagnosis, driving continuous improvements in clinical care and patient outcome and access to post-diagnostic support and clinical trials. For a heterogenous disorder such as dementia, which is now the second leading cause of death in Australia following cardiovascular disease, the case for adequate investment into research and development has grown even more compelling
PROTECTIVE EFFECT OF POLYMYXINE B AND NIFEDIPINE ON DIABETIC COMPLICATIONS IN RAT: ROLE OF PROTEIN KINASE C
Patients with diabetes mellitus (DM), experience significant morbidity and mortality from microvascular retinopathy, nephropathy and neuropathy. Hyperglycemia can induce diabetic complications through multiple pathways. Activation of protein kinase C (PKC) by hyperglycemia is one of the pathways which causes diabetic complications. Effect of nifedipine (a calcium channel blocker), and polymyxine B sulphate (a Protein kinase C inhibitor) was studied in adult male Sprague- dawley rats, who was made diabetic with streptozotocin. PKC activity was determined in tissues and serum enzymes and metabolite level was measured in all controls, diabetic and drug treated animals. The results showed that, levels of the, urea (two –fold), creatinine (60%), triglyceride (two-fold) and liver alanine transaminase (ALT) activity (two-fold), were significantly increased in diabetic group. In nifedipine, treated diabetic group, although urea and creatinine level was increased, but liver enzymes were not significantly different from those of control group. In diabetic group which was treated with polymyxine, all the measured metabolites and enzyme levels were the same as the control group, except glucose level which was increased and liver glycogen was decreased significantly. Protein kinase C activity in the cytoplasm of diabetic liver was increased comparing to its control group (5.73 ± 0.56 Vs, 4.00 ± 0.62). The enzyme activity in the plasma membranes of untreated and nifedipine treated diabetic groups was significantly increased (6.2 ± 0.42 and 3.66 ± 0.31 Vs 2.38 ± 0.36). These results show that polymyxine is more effective than nifedipine against protein kinase C activity in diabetic complications. In conclusion our results show that, liver and kidney damage in DM are related to PKC activation. The fact that polymyxine prevents diabetic related increase in PKC activity more than nifedipine, support the hypothesis that different PKC isozymes may play different roles in the development of diabetic complications

Gahar-roud is in 18 kilometer far from Doroud city from East of lorestan province . This river orginated from internal part of Oshteran-kouh mountain altitude and Gahar-Lake .
Survey on Gahar roud Limnology began from the end of 2001 year and during the 18 month achived, at first
on the length of 20 kilometer five station of sampling was selected and biological, physical and chemical
character of this river was surveyed this river in all path of it feeding with large and small spring, little rivers and
water of icehouse. The amount water of this river is different and maximum water is about 21 m/s in April
month. Specifity of this river is be enough the temperature of water for fish. Minimum in the Jan is about 3 centigrad
deegree and maximum is July and Aug about 24 centigrade deegree phis between 6.5-8.2 and is few basic . solauble oxigen is enough and is between 8.5-13 mg/lit.during the year.This river is very bright and haven t the
source of polution and during the path of river and be enaugh the dosage of mineral in water are the important
physical and chemical character of this river. Gahar-roud is not biological hardness quality. About 31 genus and
species from 5 family of phytoplangton and 42 genus from 26 family from the order of insects, molusca, worms
and crustacea and 9 species from 12 family from the side aquatic. Plants was collected and recognized.
Based on ecological potential of this region, because Gahar- roud river is poor for food material and classified in
oligotroph river and hasn t high biological value. And also have a few population and in fact haven t any
population and based on the safer system belong to the quatiy elass of oligotroph and amount of water, regular
circulation of water with microclima condition rate of natural resource land around river, having program for
culture of cold water fish is important but it is better that use from culture of fish, be regulated key word
