Approximating Mexican highways with slime mould
Plasmodium of Physarum polycephalum is a single cell visible by unaided eye.
During its foraging behavior the cell spans spatially distributed sources of
nutrients with a protoplasmic network. Geometrical structure of the
protoplasmic networks allows the plasmodium to optimize transport of nutrients
between remote parts of its body. Assuming major Mexican cities are sources of
nutrients how much structure of Physarum protoplasmic network correspond to
structure of Mexican Federal highway network? To find an answer undertook a
series of laboratory experiments with living Physarum polycephalum. We
represent geographical locations of major cities by oat flakes, place a piece
of plasmodium in Mexico city area, record the plasmodium's foraging behavior
and extract topology of nutrient transport networks. Results of our experiments
show that the protoplasmic network formed by Physarum is isomorphic, subject to
limitations imposed, to a network of principle highways. Ideas and results of
the paper may contribute towards future developments in bio-inspired road
planning
RANCANG BANGUN INVERTER BERKAPASITAS 200 WATT DENGAN METODE SINUSOIDAL PULSE WIDTH MODULATION (SPWM) BIPOLAR PADA ROBOT ASPER-19
Pada penanganan kasus Covid-19 yang semakin hari menunjukkan akan peningkatkan, bagian teknologi semakn didorong untuk mengadakan suatu inovasi dalam membantu penanganan kasus Covid-19. UKM Robotika Fakultas Teknik Univertas Jember melakukan riset berkaitan dengan penanganan Covid-19 yang menghasilkan Robot Asisten Perawat 19 atau ASPER-19. Robot ini dapat dioperasikan dengan suplai daya antara 150 – 250 Watt menggunakan inverter dikarenakan beban yang disuplai beban AC dengan sumber tegangan DC dari baterai/accu. Perancangan inverter pada penelitian ini menggunakan arduino uno sebagai pembangkit sinyal SPWM. Rangkaian penguat atau Gate Driver untuk menguat sinyal SPWM terdiri dari optocoupler PC817 dan transistor BC547. Rangkaian utama inverter yang terdiri dari empat buah MOSFET IRF 3205 yang disusun full bridge untuk melakukan proses switching serta penambahan trafo SMPS untuk step up tegangan AC. Penelitian ini menghasilkan bahwa rancang bangun Inveter berkapasitas 200 Watt dengan metode SPWM Bipolar telah berhasil dirancang dengan tingkat kestabilan hasil keluaran rangkaian inverter pada robot ASPER-19 yang diuji selama 120 menit pengerjaan cenderung stabil pada nilai arus keluaran 0,5 Ampere, serta hasil keluaran rangkaian inverter memiliki nilai frekuensi yang tetap pada nilai 19,5 kHz dengan nilai error persen sebesar 2,5%
Novel facultative Methylocella strains are active methane consumers at terrestrial natural gas seeps
Natural gas seeps contribute to global climate change by releasing substantial amounts of the potent greenhouse gas methane and other climate-active gases including ethane and propane to the atmosphere. However, methanotrophs, bacteria capable of utilising methane as the sole source of carbon and energy, play a significant role in reducing the emissions of methane from many environments. Methylocella-like facultative methanotrophs are a unique group of bacteria that grow on other components of natural gas (i.e. ethane and propane) in addition to methane but a little is known about the distribution and activity of Methylocella in the environment. The purposes of this study were to identify bacteria involved in cycling methane emitted from natural gas seeps and, most importantly, to investigate if Methylocella-like facultative methanotrophs were active utilisers of natural gas at seep sites
Pelatihan Penyusunan Perangkat Pembelajaraan Bagi Guru di SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Rumbia Lampung Tengah
Learning tools such as Syllabus, RPP and mature teaching material are one indicator of success in teaching and learning activities. There are often changes in the curriculum carried out by the government, so that there are also changes in the preparation of learning levels. As a solution to improve understanding and preparation of learning devices, one of them is by training in the preparation of learning tools for teachers at Muhammadiyah 1 Rumbia Vocational School, Central Lampung. The target of the implementation of community service activities is teacher teachers at Muhammadiyah 1 Vocational High School Rumbia. From the results of the evaluation, the results and benefits of this service activity were obtained including providing knowledge and understanding of the preparation of learning device. Besides that the teachers also get opportunity to compile and make learning tools according to the field of study and material guided by the service
HUBUNGAN KONDISI EKONOMI ORANG TUA DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR EKONOMI PESERTA DIDIK KELAS X SMAN 10 BANDAR LAMPUNG
The problem in this study is the low student learning outcomes, the low interest of students in learning and the economics of parents that influence student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of economic conditions of parents with the economic learning outcomes of students of Social Sciences class X even semester SMA 10 Bandar Lampung 2018/2019 academic year. In this study, the author uses a quantitative descriptive method because the score of the variable is in the form of numbers which will then be processed using a statistical formula to produce a value. The population in this study were students of class X. IPS which amounted to 88 students and the samples tested in this study also amounted to 22 students. Data analysis technique to test the hypothesis that the author uses is product moment correlation. Based on the results of hypothesis testing showing thit> ttab or 15.32> 1.72, Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a significant relationship between the economic condition of parents and the economic learning outcomes of IPS X class students in the even semester of SMA Bandar Lampung 2018 / 2019. There is a fairly high correlation between the economic conditions of parents and the economic learning outcomes of IPS X-class students in the even semester of SMA Bandar Lampung 10 in the academic year 2018/2019. This is based on the results of hypothesis testing showing rxy = 0.96
Pelatihan Model-Model Pembelajaran Dan Media Pembelajaran Kurikulum 2013 Pada Guru-Guru SMK PGRI 2 Bandar Lampung
2013 curriculum was officially implemented by the government. Through this curriculum, it is expected that there will be a change in the learning paradigm that previously tended to be teacher-centered into student-centered learning. However, in practice until now teachers are still very dominant in classroom learning. During the learning process, teachers tend to use monotonous learning models, only lecturing, and without adequate support media. The target of the implementation of community service activities is teachers at SMK PGRI 2 Bandar Lampung. From the results of the evaluation, the results and benefits of this service activity were obtained including providing knowledge and understanding of learning models and instructional media that are appropriate for use in the learning process according to the 2013 Curriculum. In addition, the participants also had the opportunity to organize and make learning media according to their fields of study and the material guided by the service team. 
Computer simulation model of multi-input multi-output converter using single-phase matrix converter
This paper presents a multi-input, multi-output power converter system using a single-phase matrix converter (SPMC) circuit topology. In particular, this technology is of vital importance in floating production such as offshore oil and gas platforms where space is crucial, therefore requiring a reduction in equipment size and weight. The proposed circuit topology only employed a single circuit to perform energy conversion of direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC), DC to DC, AC to DC, and AC to AC operations, thus can reduce the power losses resulting in high power density. As a result, it can promise technological advancement and convergence, hence, support the manufacturing sector transition to industry 4.0, and in line with the United Nation’s sustainable development goals. The proposed converter model will be validated in terms of electrical circuit operations through the computer simulation (MATLAB/Simulink) software
