Matrix Product Eigenstates for One-Dimensional Stochastic Models and Quantum Spin Chains
We show that all zero energy eigenstates of an arbitrary --state quantum
spin chain Hamiltonian with nearest neighbor interaction in the bulk and single
site boundary terms, which can also describe the dynamics of stochastic models,
can be written as matrix product states. This means that the weights in these
states can be expressed as expectation values in a Fock representation of an
algebra generated by operators fulfilling quadratic relations which
are defined by the Hamiltonian.Comment: 11 pages, Late
Creating Connections: The Dynamic Relationship Between Muses and Makers
This project is a compilation of poetry that captures the nature of inspiration. Drawing from sources such as literature, film, music, and visual arts these poems serve as a testament to how creativity influences and manifests in each artist's creative process. The aim of this project is to encourage readers to contemplate the relationship between creators and muses. It explores the connection between influences and an artist's inner thoughts revealing how personal experiences, emotions, and perspectives intertwine with external stimuli to give birth to innovative art forms. By celebrating self-expression as a component of creation this thesis strives to spark others' creative inspiration while nurturing a culture of innovation and interconnectedness, within the realm of art
CWEX (Crop/Wind-Energy Experiment): Measurements of the interaction between crop agriculture and wind power
The current expansion of wind farms in the U.S. Midwest promotes an alternative renewable energy portfolio to conventional energy sources derived from fossil fuels. The construction of wind turbines and large wind farms within several millions of cropland acres creates a unique interaction between two unlike energy sources: electric generation by wind and bio-fuel production derived from crop grain and plant tissues. Wind turbines produce power by extracting mean wind speed and converting a portion of the flow to turbulence downstream of each rotor. Turbine-scale turbulence modifies fluxes of momentum, heat, moisture, and other gaseous constituents (e.g. carbon dioxide) between the crop canopy and the atmospheric boundary layer. Conversely, crop surfaces and tillage elements produce drag on the hub-height wind resource, and the release of sensible and latent heat flux from the canopy or soil influences the wind speed profile.
The Crop-Wind Energy Experiment (CWEX) measured momentum, energy, and CO2 fluxes at several locations within the leading line of turbines in a large operational wind farm, and overall turbines promote canopy mixing of wind speed, temperature, moisture, and carbon dioxide in both the day and night. Turbine-generated perturbations of these fluxes are dependent on several factors influencing the turbine operation (e.g. wind speed, wind direction, stability, orientation of surrounding turbines within a wind park) and the cropland surface (e.g. crop type and cultivar, planting density, chemical application, and soil composition and drainage qualities). Additional strategies are proposed for optimizing the synergy between crop and wind power
Numerical model development and application of shelterbelt and windbreak flow during nocturnal stably stratified conditions
An existing shelterbelt turbulence model, previously used only for neutral flow applications, is modified to investigate how stably stratified flow interacts with a porous obstacle. The model extension demonstrates that for uniformly dense barriers, temperature stratification hinders flow recovery in the barrier lee, thereby creating somewhat cooler temperatures from the upstream-of-windbreak conditions. The stably stratified conditions are then applied to a domain for monitoring odor transport from a livestock facility. Mapping a poultry house onto the model grid allows for representation of plausible flow patterns over a bluff-body obstacle. The pattern of odor transport from the house appears to be realistic, but validation with measurements and future testing is sought. Adding a shelterbelt configuration downstream of the emission source improves plume dilution, with the most dense and tallest arrangements creating the vertical displacement and turbulence to disperse strong intensity odor aloft rather than at the surface
Methodology for Investigating Individuals Online Social Networking Persona
When investigators from either the private or public sector review digital data surrounding a case for evidentiary value, they typically conduct a systematic categorization process to identify the relevant digital devices. Armed with the proper methodology to accomplish this task, investigators can quickly recognize the appropriate digital devices for forensic processing and review. This paper purposes a methodology for investigating an individual’s online social networking persona.

Etiology, diagnostics and treatment of antiphospholipid syndrome as a rare cause of the stroke
The antiphospholipid syndrome is a rarely recognized cause of thrombotic incidents, the stroke among others. One of the
reasons for this is little awareness among physicians of this syndrome, which given an early enough diagnosis and
anticoagulant therapy decreases substantially the risk of thrombosis occurrence. It is especially important with secondary
derivative antiphospholipid syndrome which treatment essentially depends on the treatment of the primary base illness. The
most frequent features are arterial and venous thrombosis in different vessels of different location and spontaneous abortions.
Miscellaneous symptomatology of the antiphospholipid syndrome makes it a unit of importance for every physician. The
publication presents the pathogenesis, diagnostics and treatment of the antiphospholipid syndrome.
Do najczęściej spotykanych objawów należą
zakrzepica naczyniowa o różnej lokalizacji oraz poronienia. Bogata symptomatologia zespołu sprawia, że jest on jednostką
o dużym znaczeniu klinicznym, którą powinien znać każdy lekarz.
W niniejszej pracy przedstawiono patogenezę, diagnostykę i leczenie zespołu antyfosfolipidowego
Hipofosfatemia - opis przypadków
Hipofosfatemia jest u pacjentów hospitalizowanych stanem stosunkowo częstym. Typowo
przede wszystkim mięśni i układu nerwowego. Leczenie polega na usunięciu przyczyn
niedoboru i uzupełnieniu fosforanów.

Gorączka krwotoczna Ebola — realne zagrożenie?
Ebola hemorrhagic fever (EHF) is dangerous, high septic virus disease with very high level of mortality. Reservoir of this virus are some kinds of monkeys and fruitseaten bats. Infection is caused by direct contact with blood, organic fluids, excretions and discharges of sick person. Time of incubation is 21 days. Significant clinic symptoms are: high fever about 40 Celsius degrees , diarrhea, vomiting, and in the next stage: vomiting and diarrhea with blood, bleeding from nose, hemoptysis, hematuria, hemorrhagia from uterus.
Suspicious of Ebola virus infection should be taken in every person after journey to tropical country , when 21 days later appears symptoms: fever, shivers, pain mussels, headache, soarthroat, diarrhea or vomiting. This person should be urgently send to reference clinics for diagnosis, observation and treatment.Gorączka krwotoczna Ebola (EHF) jest groźną, wysoce zakaźną chorobą wirusową, obarczoną wysoką śmiertelnością, której rezerwuarem są niektóre gatunki małp i owocożernych nietoperzy. Do zakażenia dochodzi drogą kontaktów bezpośrednich z krwią, płynami ustrojowymi, wydzielinami i wydalinami osoby chorej.
Takie osoby należy w trybie pilnym kierować do regionalnych ośrodków specjalistycznych — referencyjnych, celem diagnostyki, izolacji i dalszej obserwacji
