Digital optical recorder-reproducer system
A mass archival optical recording and reproduction system includes a recording light source such as a laser beam focussed and directed upon an acousto-optic linear modulator array (or page composer) that receives parallel blocks of data converted from a serial stream of digital data to be stored. The page composer imparts to the laser beam modulation representative of a plurality of parallel channels of data and through focussing optics downstream of the page composer parallel arrays of optical spots are recorded upon a suitable recording medium such as a photographic film floppy disc. The recording medium may be substantially frictionlessly and stably positioned for recording at a record/read station by an air-bearing platen arrangement which is preferably thermodynamically non-throttling so that the recording film may be positioned in the path of the information-carrying light beam in a static or dynamic mode. During readout, the page composer is bypassed and a readout light beam is focussed directly upon the recording medium containing an array of previously recorded digital spots, a sync bit, data positioning bits, and a tracking band. The readout beam which has been directed through the recording medium is then imaged upon a photodetector array, the output of which may be coupled to suitable electronic processing circuitry, such as a digital multiplexer, whereby the parallel spot array is converted back into the original serial data stream

Aplikasi Konsep Personal Knowledge Management (PKM) dengan Social Web
This study discusses the impact of social media to the development of personal knowledge management (PKM). Here the author describeS the factual condition of the company that useS social media as a means of personal knowledge management. Furthermore, these interaction patterns have significant impact on the organization. The purpose of this article is to analyze the application of personal knowledge managementconcept, combined with the social media concept that focuses on social networks with the consideration that they are widespreadly used by the public. Plus the emergence of social networking sites are increasingly new added value to the development of social media. The method used is literature study obtained from the online journals, articles and text books. The result of this study is expected to expand the use of social networking as a means of personal knowledge management in the organization
Differences in N use efficiency, N translocation and N immobilization capacity of their residues of oilseed rape varieties due to N fertilization
Winter oilseed rape (OSR) is known to poorly utilize nitrogen (N), thus increasing the risk of N losses. In five environments in Germany, eight OSR varieties were grown in combination with five fertilizer N treatments enabling to fit N response curves for each variety separately. At Hohenschulen, additional plant sampling after flowering and at harvest allowed to calculate N translocation from the vegetative plant parts into the seeds and to estimate the potential of the residues to immobilize N after harvest. Nitrogen fertilization increased seed and N yield. Varieties differed significantly in their yields and consequently in their NUE, however, without any significant interaction with the N supply. Total N accumulation at harvest, (N) harvest index and N translocation after flowering into the seeds as well as the N immobilization potential (Ipot) of the residues followed a similar pattern. Without N, the low amount of residues reduced Ipot despite the wide C/N ratio, while a high N fertilization only slightly increased the amount of residues, but clearly decreased their C/N ratio resulting in a lower Ipot. Our results support the approach that breeding for increased seed yields seems to be the most promising way to also improve NUE
