Efek Pemberian Ekstrak Etanol Daun Leilem (Clerodendrum Minahasae) terhadap Kadar Kreatinin, Asam Urat dan Ureum pada Tikus Putih (Rattus Novergicus)

  Kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan di bidang pengobatan sekarang ini sangat pesat seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi, namun penggunaan obat-obatan tradisional semakin digemari. Hal ini disebabkan rendahnya efek samping yang ditimbulkan oleh obat-obatan tradisional, praktis pemakaiannya, mudah memperolehnya dan harga yang terjangkau. Sulawesi Utara merupakan salah satu daerah yang memiliki begitu banyak jenis tumbuhan, diantaranya tumbuhan leilem (Clerodendrum minahassae) dari genus Clerodendrum. Tumbuhan leilem merupakan tumbuhan endemik Sulawesi Utara yang oleh masyarakat Minahasa sering dikonsumsi sebagai sayur dan biasanya ditambahkan pada pengolahan daging. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak etanol daun leilem  terhadap gambaran nilai ureum, asam urat dan kreatinin pada tikus putih yang diinduksi etlen glikol. Rancangan penelitian, kelompok perlakuan dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok. Kelompok kontrol (P0), Kelompok etilen glikol (P1), Kelompok perlakuan batugin (P2), kelompok ekstrak etanol daun leilem dosis 150 mg/kgBB (P3), dan kelompok ekstrak etanol daun leilem dosis 300 mg/kgBB (P4). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun leilem 150 mg/kgBB dan 300 mg/kgBB dapat  menurunkan kadar ureum, kreatinin dan asam urat pada tikus dengan perlakuan etilen glikol. Ekstrak etanol daun leilem 150 mg/kgBB lebih baik dalam  menurunkan kadar ureum, kreatinin dan asam urat tikus  dibandingkan dengan dosis 300 mg/kgBB (p<0.05).   Kata kunci : Leilem, ureum, kreatinin, asam ura

SKRINING FITOKIMIA EKSTRAK KULIT BUAH ALPUKAT (Persea americana MILL) SEBAGAI OBAT TRADISIONAL

Kulit buah alpukat saat ini masih menjadi limbah yang belum banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat. Kulit buah alpukat memiliki kandungan senyawa flavonoid dan quersetin yang tinggi sehingga kulit buah alpukat bersifat sebagai obat tradisional, oleh karena itu diperlukan informasi ilmiah tentang kandungan kimia dan efek samping yang ditimbulkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui senyawa fitokimia dari ekstrak etanol kulit buah alpukat. Ekstrasi dilakukan secara maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Tahapan penelitian ini meliputi pengujian fitokima yaitu alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin dan saponin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian skrining fitokimia, kulit buah alpukat diketahui mengandung beberapa senyawa metabolit sekunder, yaitu alkaloid, triterpenoid, tanin, flavonoid dan saponin sebagai kandidat obat tradisional

Blanche wittman's breasts: the aetiology of the split between body, trance, and psychoanalysis

Since its inception, psychoanalysis deeply engaged itself with questions of autonomy and influence, seeking to minimize the analyst's impact in order to allow for self‐direction and uninterrupted growth. The relational turn in psychoanalytic thinking challenged the hermetic fantasy of the therapist's2 positioning as a blank slate and, having recognized the inevitability of influence, has sought to involve and incorporate the therapist more fully within the therapeutic dyad. However, some prejudiced practices are still at place. Since Freud's abandonment of hypnosis and touch, the therapeutic use of both trance and touch have been largely alienated from the psychoanalytical milieu. As a consequence, research and clinical applications of both disciplines developed disconnectedly, and became fragmented. This paper suggests that Freud's initial reasons for abandoning the practice of hypnosis and the use of touch were politically and socially embedded. The paper traces the original split between psychoanalysis, hypnosis and touch to a strategic juxtaposition of establishing psychoanalysis as science in‐par with physics. It suggests that both trance and touch represented highly relational, unmediated challenges to the therapeutic dyad, which Freud was unable to incorporate into his practice at the time. This dissociated split is presented through examining Charcot's performance‐hypnosis with Blanche Mary Wittman. The paper then sets to briefly discuss the nature of relational body‐psychotherapy and relational hypnosis, demonstrating their relevance to modern relational psychoanalytic thinking. The alienation between these three disciplines results in loss of valuable fertilized dialogue which could enrich and inform practitioners from all three disciplines, and facilitate the amalgamation of a cohesive relational framework. ANALISIS FITOKIMIA EKSTRAK DAGING BUAH PISANG GOROHO MERAH ( Musa acuminata Colla L) SEBAGAI KANDIDAT OBAT HERBAL

Pisang goroho merupakan jenis tanaman endemik Sulawesi Utara. Pisang goroho sering digunakan masyarakat secara empiris sebagai bahan makanan tambahan / pokok bagi orang yang menderita penyakit diabetes mellitus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan fitokimia dan menentukan gugus fungsi senyawa dari ekstrak etanol 96% pisang goroho merah. Preparasi sampel dipotong dari bagian sisir pisangnya, kemudian dipotong kedua ujung pangkal kulit buah pisang goroho dan di potong-potong buah dan dikeringkan. Ekstraksi dilakukan secara maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Penapisan fitokimia dilakukan dengan analisis alkaloid, flavonoid, tanin, saponin, steroid, dan terpenoid. Berdasarkan hasil dari penapisan fitokimia bahwa ekstrak etanol pisang goroho merah mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, dan tanin.. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol 96% pisang goroho merah memiliki kemampuan baik sebagai kandidat obat herba

Are SMC complexes loop extruding factors? Linking theory with fact

The extreme length of chromosomal DNA requires organizing mechanisms to both promote functional genetic interactions and ensure faithful chromosome segregation when cells divide. Microscopy and genome‐wide contact frequency analyses indicate that intra‐chromosomal looping of DNA is a primary pathway of chromosomal organization during all stages of the cell cycle. DNA loop extrusion has emerged as a unifying model for how chromosome loops are formed in cis in different genomic contexts and cell cycle stages. The highly conserved family of SMC complexes have been found to be required for DNA cis‐looping and have been suggested to be the enzymatic core of loop extruding machines. Here, the current body of evidence available for the in vivo and in vitro action of SMC complexes is discussed and compared to the predictions made by the loop extrusion model. How SMC complexes may differentially act on chromatin to generate DNA loops and how they could work to generate the dynamic and functionally appropriate organization of DNA in cells is explored

Skrining Fitokimia dan Potensi Antidiabetes Ekstrak Etanol Herba Ciplukan (Physalis Angulata L) pada Tikus Putih (Rattus Novergicus) yang Diinduksi Aloksan

The purpose of this study to determine the anti-diabetic potential of ciplukan herbal ethanol extract (Physalis angulata L) in white rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced alloxan given intraperitoneally and comparing its effectiveness with glibenclamide. This study uses 5 groups namely giving aquadest as normal control, giving alloxan as a negative control, giving alloxan and glibenclamide as a positive control and the ethanol extract of ciplukan herbal with a dose of 150 mg/kg BB and 300 mg/kg BB. Blood glucose measurement performed on day 0 (three days after induction), day 7, and day 14. The results showed that ethanol extract of ciplukan herbal (Physalis angulata L) can lower blood glucose levekls. A dose of 150 mg/kg BB have percentage decrease in blood glucose levels on day 7 and day 14 respectively by 14.1%and 70.5%. dose of 300 mg/kg BB have a percentage decrease in blood glucose levels on day 7 and day 14 respectively by 70.5%.and 69.5%. a dose of 150 mg/kg BB is more effective as an anti-diabetic compared with a dose of 300 mg/kg BB. Ethanol extract of ciplukan herbal (Physalis angulata L) also has an activity to repair damaged pancreatic-β cells in rats (Rattus norvegicus) induced by alloxan

A comparative analysis of body psychotherapy and dance movement psychotherapy from a European perspective

The role of embodiment within contemporary psychotherapy practice and its discussion are gathering momentum, and are part of a paradigm shift in psychotherapy in which theory and practice are being reformulated. Body psychotherapy (BP) and dance movement psychotherapy (DMP) are playing a leading role in these deliberations. Although these two professions have separate professional bodies, distinct theoretical grounding and clinical methodology, they both place enormous value on the central role of the body and its movement as indicators of relational problems, and as agents of therapeutic change. There are few authors comparing and contrasting BP and DMP although they have much in common as they are both embodied, enactive psychotherapies. However, neither their overlaps in theory, methodology and some of their clinical practice nor their distinct character has been sufficiently delineated. This article elucidates some similarities and differences in fundamental assumptions, compares and contrasts definitions and terms and considers common and contrasting theoretical perspectives, techniques and methods. It is expected that this will contribute to the ongoing discussion of the articulation of core characteristics in both professions and will facilitate a better understanding and collaboration between them
