    This study analyzes the juvenile criminal acts committed in the city of Pekanbaru. Is a social phenomenon that occurs in urban communities, Cities are centers of crime or criminality, it is because in urban areas there is intense competition often even unhealthy. Crime in line with the expanding urban population increases, development, modernization and urbanization. Teenagers are one of the victims who are especially susceptible to committing a crime because sometimes they can be entangled in the one thing that is often tempting for them to try and gradually becomes a pleasure and continue to do. Juvenile delinquency in the study of social problems can be categorized into deviant behavior. In the perspective of deviant behavior occurs because there is a social problem of deviant behavior of various social rules or of values and social norms that apply. The data analysis was done by qualitative deskrpitif, data collection techniques in this research is purposive where the number of respondents totaled 6 people who have been in prison Class II B Children Pekanbaru.     The main facility is a facility at a fishing port used for tied and docked vessels for fish-ing vessels as well as minimizing natural disruption and shipping safety. This research was conducted in December 2016 in Pakningasal Village, Bukitbatu District, Bengka-lis Regency. The purpose of this research is to determine the type and size of the main facility of dock and port pool. Research method used in this research is survey method by doing direct observation. Data collection is done by collecting information about the main activities and activities that exist in the Marketing Place Fish Village Pak-ningasal. From the results of research conducted then required size for unloading pier is 9.89 m and length for loading area is 42,075 m so that the total length of the dock required is 51,965 m. The types and types that are being constructed with construction. The vast harbor pool area is 1321,71 m2 and the required depth of the pond is 1.3 m and it is recommended to mount the pool tour in swimming pool

    Upregulation of calcium-sensing receptor and mitogen-activated protein kinase signalling in the regulation of growth and differentiation in colon carcinoma

    In the present study, we demonstrate that Ca2+-induced growth inhibition and induction of differentiation in a line of human colon carcinoma cells (CBS) is dependent on mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase signaling and is associated with upregulation of extracellular calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) expression. When CBS cells were grown in Ca2+-free medium and then switched to medium supplemented with 1.4 mM Ca2+, proliferation was reduced and morphologic features of differentiation were expressed. E-cadherin, which was minimally expressed in nonsupplemented medium, was rapidly induced in response to Ca2+ stimulation. Sustained activation of the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) occured in Ca2+-supplemented medium. When an inhibitor of ERK activation (10 μM U0126) was included in the Ca2+-supplemented culture medium, ERK-activation did not occur. Concomitantly, E-cadherin was not induced, cell proliferation remained high and differentiation was not observed. The same level of Ca2+ supplementation that induced MAP kinase activation also stimulated CaSR upregulation in CBS cells. A clonal isolate of the CBS line that did not upregulate CaSR expression in response to extracellular Ca2+ was isolated from the parent cells. This isolate failed to produce E-cadherin or undergo growth inhibition/induction of differentiation when exposed to Ca2+ in the culture medium. However, ERK-activation occurred as efficiently in this isolate as in parent CBS cells or in a cloned isolate that underwent growth reduction and differentiation in response to Ca2+ stimulation. Together, these data indicate that CaSR upregulation and MAP kinase signalling are both intermediates in the control of colon carcinoma cell growth and differentiation. They appear to function, at least in part, independently of one another

    Scrutinizing Creative Economic Development at Cimahi Technopark: an Agile Governance Perspective

    The shift in economic orientation from manufacturing to a creative economy provides new potential for improving the national economy. Indonesia has the opportunity and potential to develop a creative economy, particularly given its cultural diversity and abundance of human resources. In order to seize these opportunities, the City Government of Cimahi created the Cimahi Technopark through Perwal No.14 of 2018 concerning Cimahi Technopark as a Science and Technology Area, in the context of utilizing human resources to provide solutions for the limited availability of natural resources. The research objective was to analyze the implementation of agile governance at Cimahi Technopark in developing the creative economy. This was descriptive research utilizing qualitative methods. Data were collected using structured interviews, a literature review and unstructured observations in the research location. The results showed that Cimahi Technopark reflected the concept of agile government, even though there were some deficiencies in its implementation.     A comparison of electron transport system activity in stream and beaver pond sediments

    Electron transport system (ETS) activity of sediments as an indication of microbial metabolic activity was measured at four beaver pond sites in central New York State. ETS activity, an indication of microbial biomass and respiration, was measured as the reduction of 2-(p-iodophenyl)-3-(p-nitrophenyl)-5-phenyl tetrazolium chloride (INT) to INT-formazan. Since INT can be reduced by both aerobes and anaerobes, the total microbial respiratory activity in the sediments was measured. The ETS activity increased from means of 11.1–65.0 μg O2∙g−1 dry weight∙h−1 at the free-flowing upstream reaches to means of 221.2–262.6 μg O2∙g−1 dry weight∙h−1 within the beaver ponds. ETS activity decreased with increased depth of sediment probably because of the loss of aerobic activity. When ETS activity was expressed on a per unit area basis (grams O2 per square metre per hour), the increase from upstream reaches to the ponds ranged from 13- to 35-fold. This difference increased to 460- to 2180-fold when the activity was expressed per unit length of stream (micrograms O2 per metre per hour). These data showed that beaver ponds greatly increased microbial activity along streams, likely resulting in changes in biogeochemical cycles controlled directly or indirectly by microorganisms. </jats:p
