The implementation of contextual teaching and learning in speaking to the first semester student of Business Administration in Hang Tuah University aims to investigate the strategies of Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) and the advantages of using(REACT) as one of the CTL technique. English for business is given to the students who learn English for Specific Purposes. The target of mastering this second language acquisition is able to perform well in spoken English according to their profession. In addition, The findings revealed that the teaching speaking was successful to improve students' pronunciation and fluency. The benefits of applying REACT: (1) engaging students in the speaking activity; (2) increasing students' motivation to participate actively in the speaking class; (3) helping students to solve their problems; (4) providing ways for students to discuss or interact with their friends. Based on these findings, it is recommended that CTL be implemented in teaching speaking

This study was conducted to find out the teacher correction techniques on students writing composition. There are some techniques that can promote to correct the students composition, and the elements corrected show the errors of students' sentence pattern commonly appear. Moreover, this study also answers the student perceptions toward the teacher correction. The students' perceptions are the guideline for the teacher in choosing the most suitable techniques which match with their need for composition revision and the elements corrected also show how the ability of students in mastering sentences pattern, vocabulary, and another skills of languages

Background: Gender-based violence in Indonesia is that many cases occur. Since 1998,violence in dating the Rifka Annisa Women's Crisis Center is a case of the second largest afterthe violence against wives. Emotional violence in dating can lead to psychological effects, andone of the psychological effect is the occurrence of anxiety. Anxiety itself can causepsychological effects. The aimof the research to determine the relationship between violence onanxiety in dating young women in Purworejo District. Methods: Cross Sectional study design to girls at SMK SMAN 3 and 6 of Dating Violence (KDP)in Purworejo District 120.Results: The Violence of the most experienced young women is sexual violence because ofbeing kissed forcefully by 34.71%. Physical violence from being hit by 30.83%. Violenceeconomy because without the willingness to buy credit for as much as 25.83% and 17.50%experienced emotional abuse because they feel insulted about the treatment the couple whomake it a laughing stock. Age has an effect on anxiety, where anxiety is more risky in womenwho experience sexual violence against a background of 14-16 years of middle age. Conclusion: There was a significant association between dating violence and anxiety in youngwomen in Purworejo District (p=0,0014 RP= 3,1 dan 95% CI=1,5-6,3)

Population grows significantly changing consumption pattern has increasing amount of waste in community that affect diversity of garbage in Semarang City. In order to diminish the amount of waste and prevent its detrimental effect on environment, the government issued Constitution Number 18 Year 2008 about Waste Management which elaborates mechanism of waste management, namely Sanitary Landfill. Since 1995, Sanitary Landfill has been applied in Jatibarang Landfill, Semarang, but nowadays implementation is not applied optimally as several problems found. The purpose of this research is analyze inhibiting factors of the Sanitary Landfill's application in Jatibarang Landfill as well as issues in waste management in Semarang City. This research is a descriptive analytic research which uses a qualitative approach. Data collected through interviews with informants, direct observation in the study site, and documentation studies conducted on various documents relevant to this study. The result shows that final processing of waste in the Jatibarang Landfill tend to use the Controlled Landfill system as Sanitary Landfill system cannot function properly. It is influenced by the separation of waste by resources has not worked well, increase in waste generation, budget realization has not be absorbed maximally, and weather factor.Recommendations that can be given are raising public awareness of waste management through government programs, involving the Head of Neighborhood Unit in oversight of waste management, improvement of policy formulation of waste management in landfill, and maximized budget absorption by considering the scale of priority of waste problems

Large N Field Theory and AdS Tachyons

In non-supersymmetric orbifolds of N =4 super Yang-Mills, conformal invariance is broken by the logarithmic running of double-trace operators -- a leading effect at large N. A tachyonic instability in AdS_5 has been proposed as the bulk dual of double-trace running. In this paper we make this correspondence more precise. By standard field theory methods, we show that the double-trace beta function is quadratic in the coupling, to all orders in planar perturbation theory. Tuning the double-trace coupling to its (complex) fixed point, we find conformal dimensions of the form 2 + i b, as formally expected for operators dual to bulk scalars that violate the stability bound. We also show that conformal invariance is broken in perturbation theory if and only if dynamical symmetry breaking occurs. Our analysis is applicable to a general large N field theory with vanishing single-trace beta functions.Comment: 26 pages, 6 figures. v3: small changes, version published on JHEP

As the network densification has almost reached its limits, mobile network operators are motivated to share their network infrastructure and the available resources through dynamic spectrum management. Although some initial efforts have been made in this direction by concluding sharing agreements at a coarse granularity (i.e., months or years), the 5G developments require fine timescale agreements, mainly enabled by network slicing. In this article, taking into account the radical changes foreseen for next generation networks, we provide a thorough discussion of the challenges that network slicing brings in the different network parts, while introducing a new entity capable of managing the end-to-end slicing in a coherent manner. In addition, according to the paradigm shift of operators sharing their resources in a common centralized pool, we design a cooperative game to study the potential cooperation aspects among the participants. The experimental results highlight the performance and financial gains achievable by operators through multi-tenant slicing, providing them with the necessary incentives for network upgrade toward 5G.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

    Intersecting Flavor Branes

We consider an instance of the AdS/CFT duality where the bulk theory contains an open string tachyon, and study the instability from the viewpoint of the boundary field theory. We focus on the specific example of the AdS_5 X S^5 background with two probe D7 branes intersecting at general angles. For generic angles supersymmetry is completely broken and there is an open string tachyon between the branes. The field theory action for this system is obtained by coupling to N =4 super Yang-Mills two N =2 hyper multiplets in the fundamental representation of the SU(N) gauge group, but with different choices of embedding of the two N=2 subalgebras into N=4. On the field theory side we find a one-loop Coleman-Weinberg instability in the effective potential for the fundamental scalars. We identify a mesonic operator as the dual of the open string tachyon. By AdS/CFT, we predict the tachyon mass for small 't Hooft coupling (large bulk curvature) and confirm that it violates the AdS stability bound.Comment: 36 page

The Complete One-Loop Dilation Operator of N=2 SuperConformal QCD

We evaluate the full planar one-loop dilation operator of N=2 SuperConformal QCD, the SU(N_c) super Yang-Mills theory with N_f = 2 N_c fundamental hypermultiplets, in the flavor-singlet sector. Remarkably, the spin-chain Hamiltonian turns out to be completely fixed by superconformal symmetry, as in N=4 SYM. We present a more general calculation, for the superconformal quiver theory with SU(N_c)X SU(N_c) gauge group, which interpolates between N=2 SCQCD and the Z_2 orbifold of N=4 SYM; here symmetry fixes the Hamiltonian up to a single parameter, corresponding to the ratio of the two marginal gauge couplings.Comment: v2: typo corrected, cosmetic changes.
