Misconduct resistance: the management of restricted drugs in the Western Australian public health service
We employ institutional theory to develop and present a framework – involving institutional drivers, organisational reactions, and outcomes – to examine and further understand misconduct resistance in public sector organisations. This framework is applied to an examination of efforts in the Western Australian public health service to prevent misconduct in the management of restricted drugs. We begin by clarifying a definition of misconduct resistance and then synthesise the extant literature develop a typology and framework of corruption resistance. The second part of the paper is a study in which the framework is applied to an examination of why and how the Western Australian public health service has endeavoured to prevent misconduct in the management of restricted drugs. Top-down imposition of regulations rather than shifts in individual employee attitudes is found. The paper concludes by outlining the potential contributions to theory and practice in approaches to increasing misconduct resistance in public health care organisations

Making a Case for New Directions in English Language Teaching Research at an Omani University: A Critical Qualitative Content Analysis Report
Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) has been the sole English Language Teaching (ELT) research enterprise in the Sultanate of Oman through the Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Methods of Teaching English degree program it launched in the early 1990s. Eighty-two theses have been completed so far about topics pertinent to ELT in the Sultanate of Oman. However, a review of those theses has shown that the discussion of these topics lacks a critical dimension that can advance Omani ELT at the micro and macro levels. This critical qualitative study, therefore, sets out to make a case for new directions in ELT research at the M.Ed. in ELT program at SQU. The discussion should lead to better understanding of the multiple ELT problems in the Sultanate of Oman and have implications for other similar contexts
Spectral studies of some hydroxy-derivatives of anthraquinones
The u.v., visible, and i.r. spectra of several hydroxy-anthraquinones are discussed and the bands are assigned. These bands are compared with those of anthracene and anthraquinone. The band at 207 nm. is assigned to a n-sigma* transition; the bands at 252, 272, and 326 nm. are assigned by measuring spectra in solvents of various polarities. The stability constant for the 12-dihydroxyanthraquinone-ethanol complex is obtained
Impedance interaction between islanded parallel voltage source inverters and the distribution network

DC link voltage control during sudden load changes in AC microgrids
Parallel inverters in AC microgrids can achieve accurate power sharing using droop control. However, different grid line impedances will result in different transient power and thus different energy being delivered or absorbed by the inverters during sudden load changes. This might lead the DC link voltage to rise beyond the trip limit causing the inverter to shut down, which reduces the reliability of the whole microgrid. This paper investigates the effect of the mismatch in line impedances on the stability of the DC link voltage during a sudden load changes and proposes a scheme to control the DC link voltage during disturbances. Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the efficacy of the proposed controller

A review on the environmental impact and physiological conditions on the human body during an engulfment, entrapment and extrication
Grain entrapments and engulfments are one of most common hazards associated with grain storage facilities. Since 1970’s over 1000 grain entrapments and engulfments incidents have been documented. However, there have been very few attempts to understand the forces and physiological conditions on the victims involved in these incidents, and understand why and how injuries are caused. This research will contribute to a better understanding of the conditions a body faces when entrapped/engulfed in grain. This is critical to understand to be able to address the low survival rate (12%) of engulfments. Based on literature review, the human body can be impacted by two sources. First there are environmental conditions such as grain pressure, oxygen levels that can determine the survivorship of a victim. Second there are physiological conditions such as asphyxiation, suspension trauma and heart rate that also have an impact on the human body. In conclusion the human body is impacted by multiple conditions and forces both internally and externally that impact the likelihood for survival. To be able to have an impact it is critical that studies are conducted on the impact of lateral pressure on lung expansion and if suspension trauma might be a contributing factor in the deaths
