    Pengembangan Sign System Kampus Unesa Lidah Wetan

    Setiap tempat seharusnya memiliki sign system yang tepat untuk membantu audiens dalam menemukan sebuah gedung, tidak terkecuali Kampus Unesa Lidah Wetan, yang memiliki secarah panjang dari mulai intregasi kursus di Surabaya pada tahun 1960, hingga menjadi sebuah Universitas sampai saat ini (tahun 2017). Peneliti menemukan sebuah masalah pada sign system di Kampus Unesa Lidah Wetan, beberapa audiens khususnya pengunjung sering kali bertanya mengenai letak lokasi gedung, padahal Kampus Unesa Lidah Wetan sudah memiliki petunjuk arah di beberapa tempat. Selain itu sign system di Kampus Unesa Lidah Wetan juga harus mendukung program eco campus. Untuk menjawab masalah tersebut peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan level 3 milik Prof. Dr. Sugiyono, bertujuan untuk mengembangkan desain sign system yang telah ada, membuat desain sign system dan menguji keefektifan desain sign system tersebut. Menggunakan analisis data formalistik dan analisis data deskriptif. Visualisasi desain menggunakan lima tahap, yaitu: (1) Thumbnails, (2) Rought Layout, (3) Tight Tissue, (4) Comprehensive, (5) Final Artwork. Setiap tahap visualisasi desain menghasilkan beberapa alternatif desain yang dikonsultasikan dengan dosen pembimbing skripsi. Sign system yang dikembangkan adalah 11 directional sign diluar ruangan dan satu site map diluar ruangan. Uji coba terbatas menggunakan kuisioner online berisi gambar mock up 11 directional sign sebelum dikembangkan dan sesudah dikembangkan, dan satu site map baru. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan, diketahui kelebihan dan kekurangan 11 directional sign di Kampus Unesa Lidah Wetan, kelebihan dan kekurangan tersebut kemudian dikembangkan menjadi sebuah konsep pengembangan desain directional sign dan site map yang baru sesuai kajian teori yang relevan. Wujud desain directional sign dan site map merupakan hasil akhir setelah melewati proses revisi desain dari dua validator. Pengembangan sign system Kampus Unesa Lidah Wetan dikatakan berhasil, dibuktikan dengan hasil uji coba terbatas pada 11 directional sign nilai setiap aspek penilaiannya mengalami peningkatan. Sedangkan site map memiliki kelemahan sulit untuk dibaca, responden beranggapan pesan (tulisan) site map terlalu kecil, sehingga sulit untuk dipahami. Kelemahan tersebut ada, karena pada form kuisioner tidak terdapat keterangan ukuran site map dan cara membaca site map, pesan (tulisan) pada site map seharusnya dibaca dan diapahami dengan jarak dekat.   Kata Kunci : Sign System, Kampus Unesa Lidah Wetan, Eco Campus Unesa, Master Plan Unes

    Extracting Low-Lying Lambda Resonances Using Correlation Matrix Techniques

    The lowest-lying negative-parity state of the Lambda is investigated in (2+1)-flavour full-QCD on the PACS-CS configurations made available through the ILDG.     Accessing High Momentum States In Lattice QCD

    Two measures are defined to evaluate the coupling strength of smeared interpolating operators to hadronic states at a variety of momenta. Of particular interest is the extent to which strong overlap can be obtained with individual high-momentum states. This is vital to exploring hadronic structure at high momentum transfers on the lattice and addressing interesting phenomena observed experimentally. We consider a novel idea of altering the shape of the smeared operator to match the Lorentz contraction of the probability distribution of the high-momentum state, and show a reduction in the relative error of the two-point function by employing this technique. Our most important finding is that the overlap of the states becomes very sharp in the smearing parameters at high momenta and fine tuning is required to ensure strong overlap with these states.Comment: 10 page

    Low-lying positive-parity excited states of the nucleon

    We present an overview of the correlation-matrix methods developed recently by the CSSM Lattice Collaboration for the isolation of excited states of the nucleon. Of particular interest is the first positive-parity excited-state of the nucleon known as the Roper resonance. Using eigenvectors of the correlation matrix we construct parity and eigenstate projected correlation functions which are analysed using standardized methods. The robust nature of this approach for extracting the eigenstate energies is presented. We report the importance of using a variety of source and sink smearings in achieving this. Ultimately the independence of the eigenstate energies from the interpolator basis is demonstrated. In particular we consider 4×44\times 4 correlation matrices built from a variety of interpolators and smearing levels. Using FLIC fermions to access the light quark mass regime, we explore the curvature encountered in the energy of the states as the chiral limit is approached. We report a low-lying Roper state contrasting earlier results using correlation matrices. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time a low-lying Roper resonance has been found using correlation matrix methods.     Isolating Excited States of the Nucleon in Lattice QCD

    We discuss a robust projection method for the extraction of excited-state masses of the nucleon from a matrix of correlation functions. To illustrate the algorithm in practice, we present results for the positive parity excited states of the nucleon in quenched QCD. Using eigenvectors obtained via the variational method, we construct an eigenstate-projected correlation function amenable to standard analysis techniques. The method displays its utility when comparing results from the fit of the projected correlation function with those obtained from the eigenvalues of the variational method. Standard nucleon interpolators are considered, with 2×22\times 2 and 3×33\times 3 correlation matrix analyses presented using various combinations of source-smeared, sink-smeared and smeared-smeared correlation functions. Using these new robust methods, we observe a systematic dependency of the nucleon excited-state masses on source- and sink-smearing levels.     Meson and baryon spectrum for QCD with two light dynamical quarks

    We present results of meson and baryon spectroscopy using the Chirally Improved Dirac operator on lattices of size 16**3 x 32 with two mass-degenerate light sea quarks. Three ensembles with pion masses of 322(5), 470(4) and 525(7) MeV and lattice spacings close to 0.15 fm are investigated. Results on ground and excited states for several channels are given, including spin two mesons and hadrons with strange valence quarks. The analysis of the states is done with the variational method, including two kinds of Gaussian sources and derivative sources. We obtain several ground states fairly precisely and find radial excitations in various channels. Excited baryon results seem to suffer from finite size effects, in particular at small pion masses. We discuss the possible appearance of scattering states in various channels, considering masses and eigenvectors. Partially quenched results in the scalar channel suggest the presence of a 2-particle state, however, in most channels we cannot identify them.     Towards run-time monitoring of web services conformance to business-level agreements

    Web service behaviour is currently specified in a mixture of ways, often using methods that are only partially complete. These range from static functional specifications, based on interfaces in WSDL and preconditions in RIF, to business process simulations using executable process-based models such as BPEL, to detailed quality of service (QoS) agreements laid down in a service level agreement (SLA). This paper recognises that something similar to a SLA is required at the higher business level to govern the contract between service producers, brokers and consumers. We call this a business level agreement (BLA) and within this framework, seek to unify disparate aspects of functional specification, QoS and run-time verification. We propose that the method for validating a web service with respect to its advertised BLA should be based on run-time service monitoring. This is a position paper towards defining these goals

    Pengaruh Edible Coating dengan Konsentrasi Berbeda terhadap Tekstur, Warna, dan Kekenyalan Bakso Sapi

    Carragenan's edible coating is one of method to provide of shelf life longer of meatball. Research material is 500 grams fresh beef for each experimental parameter and additional materials manufacture of meatballs. Experimental design was completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatment, 4 replications and 25 person use as semi-professional panelists with parameters texture, color and firmness. The treatment given is T0: no edible coating, T1: 0.5%, T2: 1%, T3: 1.5%, T4: 2%. The study showed that using carragenan's edible coatings with different concentrations is significantly (P<0.05) for texture, color and firmness of meatball. 1% of carragenan's edible coating is better than the others. The value from each parameter is texture 2.94, color 2.28, and firmness 2359.9 grams of force (gf). This method can be to maintain the quality of beef meatball
