The decomposition of β-metastable phase in (α+β)-titanium alloys during continuous heating needs a detailed investigation in the range of relatively small temperatures. The staging of β-solid solution decay was studied on the solution treated and water quenched VT16 (Ti-3Al-5Mo-5V) used for fasteners production. The thermal exo-effects of β-phase decomposition were examined using DSK. Corresponding effects in the in situ X-Ray diffraction patterns and storage modulus temperature dependence in the DMA curves are discussed. A three stage layout of β-decay is reported during continuous heating of VT16 with (α+β)-structure after quenching.     Keywords: metastable phase, phase transformation, in situ XRD, storage modulus, decay, quenching, continuous heating, dynamic mechanical analysi

The authors determined the characteristics of secondary scar deformities in children depending on its localization and specificity of the primary injury. For the period from 2008 to 2010 we examined and treated 184 children with scar deformities of varying degrees of severity and location. The examination included: clinical methods including neurological examination, as well as rentgenography, electroneuromyography, ultrasound, CT and MRI, depending on indications. In addition, depending on the localization of a deformity were performed stabilographic and biomechanical studies. Surgical and medical treatment of cicatricial deformity in children depends on the anatomical and physiological characteristics of the affected segment. In planning the reconstruction of treatment, must be taken into account the conditions of local blood circulation, which can vary greatly depending on the duration of the existence the deformity and the etiology of the primary lesion. Basic principles of prophylactic clinical examination of pediatric patients at the stages of rehabilitation:Определены особенности развития вторичных послеожоговых рубцовых деформаций у детей в зависимости от их локализации и специфики первичного повреждения.

K.E. TSIOLKOVSKY AND A.L. CHIZHEVSKY – PIONEERS AND ENTHUSIASTS OF SPACE BIOLOGY RESEARCHES

    No full text
Relatively recently, the concept of the unity of the space, biosphere and humans has become a subject matter of serious scientific researches. The concept was put forward by Russian scholars and thinkers among which the seat of honor is occupied by K.E. Tsiolkovsky and A.L. Chizhevsky. Both researchers were concerned in how the space is related to its greatest creation – life and its meaning on the scale of the Universe. Their works were largely devoted to theoretical and experimental studies of these issues. Both of them accepted the broad spread of extraterrestrial life forms and close dependence of the global Earth's eco-system (biosphere) on space effects. Now there is good reason to assert that the ideas of A.L. Chizhevsky and K.E. Tsiolkovsky had a fundamental role in establishment of space biology as a new branch of science.</jats:p

The results of a complex of experimental studies of thermal and aerodynamic indicators of water-heating heat-recovery exchangers of dusty exhaust gases from glass-making furnaces are presented. The studies were carried out on an experimental installation located behind a glass-melting furnace, and in the process of start-up operations during the introduction into operation of modular-type water-heating heat exchangers (HWM) developed by IET NAS of Ukraine at various glass-producing enterprises. The studies were carried out using modern measuring equipment according to certified methods of the services of metrological adjustment of glass-making enterprises, with the participation of which the experiments were carried out. In the process of research, the heating capacity, average values of the heat transfer coefficients and aerodynamic resistance of heat exchange surfaces, which are assembled from of panel packages formed by pipes with membranes, under conditions of heat-recovery of dusty furnace gases, were determined. The dynamics of the formation of a layer of deposits of technological dust on the surface of the panels on the gas side and the contamination coefficient of surface were also subject to research. According to the data on the heat-recovery exchanger heating capacity, the rational period of its operation between cleaning the working surfaces was determined. The experimental parameters obtained were also compared with their calculated values, as well as with the data of other researchers. According to the results of the studies, it is shown that TVM heat exchangers when used in conditions of dusty furnace gases are characterized by high thermal efficiency due to the layout of the heat exchange surface from the packets of panels formed by pipes with membranes, and the possibility of cleaning these surfaces from deposits of technological dust with practical restoration of the initial indicators. Based on the data obtained, the duration of the cycles for cleaning membrane heating surfaces from dust deposits was determined: for furnaces for the production of glass packaging, this period was 10-14 days, and for furnaces for melting medical glass - 5-7 days.</jats:p

Big data analysis for studying water supply and sanitation coverage in cities (Russia)

Big data analysis for water supply and sanitation is important for ensuring urban viability. Our research is devoted to studying the methodology for analyzing big data of the water supply and sanitation systems. Based on a review of scientific publications and their analysis, a model for analyzing large data was proposed. It comprises information sources, data collection and storage platforms with indication of parameters for the programming model, runtime and storage environment, as well as data analysis and processing. © 2019

An open controlled comparative research was conducted on 263 children with acute respiratory infection (ARI) in order to evaluate the clinical effectiveness, acceptability and safety of plant based preparation that contains ivy leaf extract. It was established that prescribing the preparation during the first days of disease reduced the duration of dry and inefficient cough, improved sputum rheology and bronchial tree drainage function, reduced bronchial obstruction intensity, reduced the need for prescribing bronchial spasmolitics less necessary and decreased Staybin term. Compared to other antibcough medicines, plant based preparation with ivy leaf extract has quicker effect (effective on the 1st–3rd day).Key words: children, acute respiratory infections, cough, treatment
