Penentuan Urutan Proses Disassembly Produk Menggunakan Liaison Sequence Analysis
Water pump machine is one kind of household electronics that can produce electronic waste. One effort to reduce the impact of e-waste is to do the recycling process. These items are easy to recycle in need of disassembly. The main purpose of disassembly is removal selected part, so that non selected part can be reused or recycled. Its’s very useful to improve maintenance and to reduse cost, time, and number of operaions. Liaison diagram is a systematic methods that used to determine all possible disassembly sequence of product as a whole. In this research, the liaison diagram was applied to water pump machine product which has total components is 32. The result of this research is sequence diagram of disassembly process that used in water pump machine. Where sequence diagram may be generated from a water pump machine between 19 and 190 liaison. From the possible sequence diagram then selected 2 alternatives that can be applied in the disassembly process of the water pump machine. The two alternatives that chosen are {L11, L1, L2, L4, L5, L6, L12, L13, L15, L16, L7, L8, L9, L10, L17, L18, L19, L20, L3, L14}; dan {L15, L16, L7, L8, L9, L10, L17, L1, L2, L4, L5, L6, L12, L13, L14, L18, L19, L20, L11, L3}. By using the model a simulation the arena it can be seen time of disassembly process by each alternative of 367.38 seconds and 386.32 seconds
The Suppressor of AAC2 Lethality SAL1 Modulates Sensitivity of Heterologously Expressed Artemia ADP/ATP Carrier to Bongkrekate in Yeast
The ADP/ATP carrier protein (AAC) expressed in Artemia franciscana is refractory to bongkrekate. We generated two strains of Saccharomyces cerevisiae where AAC1 and AAC3 were inactivated and the AAC2 isoform was replaced with Artemia AAC containing a hemagglutinin tag (ArAAC-HA). In one of the strains the suppressor of ΔAAC2 lethality, SAL1, was also inactivated but a plasmid coding for yeast AAC2 was included, because the ArAACΔsal1Δ strain was lethal. In both strains ArAAC-HA was expressed and correctly localized to the mitochondria. Peptide sequencing of ArAAC expressed in Artemia and that expressed in the modified yeasts revealed identical amino acid sequences. The isolated mitochondria from both modified strains developed 85% of the membrane potential attained by mitochondria of control strains, and addition of ADP yielded bongkrekate-sensitive depolarizations implying acquired sensitivity of ArAAC-mediated adenine nucleotide exchange to this poison, independent from SAL1. However, growth of ArAAC-expressing yeasts in glycerol-containing media was arrested by bongkrekate only in the presence of SAL1. We conclude that the mitochondrial environment of yeasts relying on respiratory growth conferred sensitivity of ArAAC to bongkrekate in a SAL1-dependent manner. © 2013 Wysocka-Kapcinska et al

Reducing Automotive Cooling System Complexity through an Adaptive Biomimetic Air Control Valve
Future automotive mobility is predominantly electric. Compared to existing systems, the requirements of subsystems change. Air flow for cooling components is needed predominantly when the car is in rest (i.e., charging) or at slow speeds. So far, actively driven fans consuming power and generating noise are used in this case. Here we propose a passive adaptive system allowing for convection-driven cooling. The developed system is a highly adaptive flat valve derived from the bordered pit. It was developed through an iterative design process including simulations, both structural and thermodynamic. In hardwoods and conifers, bordered pits enable the challenging transport of vertical fluids by locally limiting damage. Depending on the structure, these can close at sudden pressure changes and take the function of valves.
The result of the biomimetic abstraction process is a system-integrative, low-profile valve that is cheap to produce, long-lasting, lightweight, maintenance-free, and noise-free. It allows for the passive switching of air flow generation at the heat exchanger of the cooling between natural convection or an active airstream without the need for complex sensing and control systems. The geometric and material design factors allow for the simple tuning of the valve to the desired switching conditions during the design process

FLEXIBILITY ANALYSIS OF PIPING SYSTEMS WITH DISCONTINUITIES IN DISPLACEMENT
ABSTRACT C XY Summation of compliance matrices from point X to point Y. If W is a point on the piping between X and Y, then C XY = C XW + C WY , and also C XY = C YX . D X Sum of displacements at point X due to thermal expansion and elastic deformation caused by restraint forces. D X * 6 x 1 column matrix for displacement at a tie point X on an operating piping system at the time of tie-in. ∆ X Change in displacement at tie point X when the combined piping systems attains a new temperature distribution. F X 6 x 1 column matrix for force at a restraint point X (by restraint on piping) or "loop cut force" on terminal point X of the cut exerted by the opposite terminus of the cut
