Clinical remarks on the proclivity of the abductor fibres of the recurrent laryngeal nerve to become affected sooner than the adductor fibres, or even exclusively, in cases of undoubted central or peripheral injury or disease of the roots or trunks of the pneumogastric, spinal accessory, or recurrent nerves
The group therapy process and its effectiveness with chronic schizophrenic patients as a function of the role of the leader.
Thesis (Ph.D.)--Boston UniversityA survey of the literature shows that group psychotherapy with the psychoses, since its inception thirty-five years ago, has assumed a position of major importance as a method of treatment. Despite the widespread use of group therapy, research has not kept pace with the clinical use of this technique.
The need for experimentation in this area is recognized. There is general agreement on many fundamental issues that require empirical investigation. In accordance with this consensus regarding the need for basic research, it seemed possible to investigate the following three problems: (l) the effectiveness of group psychotherapy; (2) the relative effectiveness of two different therapeutic approaches; and (3) the influence of the role of the leader upon the group process. The focus in this study of group therapy was on the development of interaction as it is related to the style of leadership
Coulomb force effects in low-energy -deuteron scattering
The -proton Coulomb interaction is included in the description of
-deuteron scattering using the screening and renormalization approach
in the framework of momentum-space three-particle equations. The technical
reliability of the method is demonstrated. Large Coulomb-force effects are
found.Comment: To be published in Phys. Rev.
Scattering of Two Spinless Particles in 3D Formulation with Coulomb Admixtures
Scattering of two spinless charge particles for simple forces including
coulomb admixtures is calculated without partial wave decomposition. The
coulomb interaction being taken is of the type of screened coulomb potential.
For the forces range are not infinite, the standard scattering theory is
applied. The differential and total cross section is calculated and coulomb
effects are shown.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figure

New calculation schemes for proton-deuteron scattering including the Coulomb interaction
The Coulomb interaction between the protons is included in the description of
proton-deuteron scattering using the screening and renormalization approach in
the framework of momentum-space integral equations. Two new calculational
schemes are presented that confirm the reliability of the perturbative approach
for treating the screened Coulomb interaction in high partial waves, used by us
in earlier works.Comment: To be published in Phys. Rev.
