The Role of E-Health in Enhancing Quality of Life for Chronic Patients
Introduction: To assess the impact of e-health on the quality of life of chronic patients. The paper describes the fundamental understanding of e-health as the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in support of health and health-related fields. Since chronic diseases represent a heavy burden on most healthcare systems and the lives of patients, it is essential to explore the role e-health can play in this. Methods: This was a systematic review of the literature using electronic databases and search terms pertinent to e-health and chronic diseases. Studies including e-health interventions for patients with chronic disease and reporting quality of life outcomes were included. We identified 20 studies meeting the inclusion criteria, which included sample sizes from 20 to 900 subjects and a diversity of chronic diseases. Results: E-health interventions demonstrated a beneficial effect on the overall quality of life of chronic patients. This was manifested as improvements in physical, psychological and social well-being, disease management and self-care. The study identified that e-health interventions enhanced access to health services offered personalized support, and improved communication between patients and healthcare providers. A few studies also reported on the cost-effectiveness of e-health interventions. Conclusions: This study leads us to conclude that e-health represents a remarkable opportunity to improve the quality of life of chronic patients; E-health can utilize ICT to enhance disease management, enhance reachability to healthcare solutions, and improve professional-patient interaction. There is a need for further research on the best e-health interventions for each of these conditions and on barriers to patients adopting and using e-health (some barriers are common across conditions, while others are specific to each condition). However, the results of this review can encourage us to add e-health to the health systems to have an opportunity to enhance the life quality of chronic patients

Financial and Non-Financial Applications of Blockchain
There are hundreds of technologies today. Companies and brands continuously try to create and bring something innovative in the market to attract consumers to them in order to get a rise in market share. In the world where people have started getting used to hundreds of technologies, if asked about those which have affected them the most in last ten to twelve years, no one will miss mentioning blockchain. Blockchain has gained very much popularity after the introduction of bitcoin and ethereum in its environment. Blockchain mainly has two types of functionalities. One that involves transactions and the other which talks about contracts. This work highlights some of the very much talked about applications of this technology in the real world. The work also considers various factors and methods by which this technology can be introduced to the audience by suggesting ways in which blockchain can be introduced in the lives. Discussion on how this technology can affect human lives in the future is also an important part of this paper. Because blockchain has huge number of applications that the paper has tried to inculcate, it can be a technology of future which many scientists and industrialists have already started to believe. That is why this work finds a unique and all in one collection of applications and possibilities of Blockchain.</jats:p
Business Policies and Practices for Ensuring Data Security: An Exploratory Study
Business policies are the formal and informal rules that govern the behaviour of organizations. The increasing dependence on technology and the rise of cybercrime have made it imperative for businesses to focus on data security policies. In this research paper, the focus is on examining the various business policies related to data security, the impact they have on the overall security of an organization and their effectiveness. Today's organizations operate and compete in a way that has undergone a fundamental digital shift. Data governance is becoming more important as a result of the increasing number of data that businesses produce, manage, and store. Furthermore, computing systems are more complicated than they used to be, frequently encompassing the public cloud, the enterprise data centre, and a wide range of edge devices, including Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, robots, and remote servers. Its intricacy increases the attack surface, making it harder to secure and monitor. The paper will be using a qualitative approach to collect data through interviews with IT professionals and managers. The objective of this research is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current business policies related to data security and how they are being implemented. The paper will also explore the challenges faced by organizations in implementing these policies and the measures taken to overcome them. The research paper will present the findings of the study and draw conclusions based on the data collected.</jats:p
Understanding the natural organic matter removal mechanism from mine and surface water through the electrocoagulation method
Abstract
In the present study, the concept of ‘Sample alteration of surface water’ has been employed to improve the efficiency of the aluminum-based electrocoagulation (EC) treatment method for the removal of reactive fractions of natural organic matter (NOM) from chlorinated water. The characteristics of surface water have been slightly modified by adding mine water in different ratios. The process has been optimized using the response surface methodology (RSM) considering pH, current density, mix ratio, and contact time as factors. At the optimized condition, the EC method has significantly reduced total organic carbon, dissolved organic carbon (DOC), and UV254 absorbance values up to 24%, 27%, and 80%, respectively. The cumulative impact of sample alteration and EC method has exhibited outstanding coagulant activity in terms of UV254 abs, DOC, turbidity, phenol, and absorbance slope index (ASI) as well. A decrease in ASI values indicated the reduction of trihalomethane's formation in water-containing chlorine. This was validated by reduced chlorine demand. It can be concluded that mixing mine water with surface water can be a feasible and efficient method for treating water with a high NOM content.</jats:p
