A Preliminary Study On Platelet Concentrates Quality Collected From Two Different Mixing Methods: Manual Mixing Versus Automated Blood Collection Mixer

The Effectiveness of the Computer Training Courses as Perceived by the Teachers in Enhancing Their Computer Skills
The purpose of the study was to describe the effectiveness of the computer training
courses as perceived by the teachers in enhancing their computer skills. A set of
questionnaires was administered to 80 primary and secondary teachers who have
undergone the two weeks master trainer computer courses.
Data collected was analysed in three factors, namely, 1. Beginning Level of
Computer Skills, 2. Advanced Level of Computer Skills, and 3. Training management. All
the factors were analysed by using descriptive statistics in terms of frequencies,
percentages, means, and standard deviations. T-test was also used in the data analysis as
inferential statistics in determining the differences between the variables. Findings revealed that teachers perceived the computer training courses to be
relatively effective in enhancing their beginning level computer skills as compared to the
advanced level. They also perceived some aspects of the training management to be rather
unsatisfactory particularly in terms of frequency and the duration of the training.
The results of t-test indicate that teachers' perceived training effectiveness in
enhancing their computer skills is significantly different in terms of gender, academic
qualification, and computer experiences. The male teachers appeared to perceive more
positive than the female teachers towards the training effectiveness in both skill
enhancement and training management. Non-graduate teachers perceived more positive
than the graduate teachers towards training effectiveness in the dimension of training
management. While the more experienced teachers perceived the training was effective in
the skill enhancement as compared to the less experienced teachers

Disclosure to a Credulous Audience: The Role of Limited Attention
In our model, informed players decide whether or not to disclose, and observers allocate attention among disclosed signals, and toward reasoning through the implications of a failure to disclose. In equilibrium disclosure is incomplete, and observers are unrealistically optimistic. Nevertheless, regulation requiring greater disclosure can reduce observers' belief accuracies and welfare. A stronger tendency to neglect disclosed signals increases disclosure, whereas a stronger tendency to neglect failures to disclose reduces disclosure. Observer beliefs are influenced by the salience of disclosed signals, and disclosure in one arena can crowd out disclosure in other fundamentally unrelated arenas.disclosure; disclosure regulation; limited attention; credulity

Strategies to improve knowledge sharing in trading construction organization
In this present economy that is wholly centered on knowledge and skill, knowledge sharing (KS) is gradually regarded as an important factor in organizational effectiveness and an innovative mechanism to cope with challenges [1]. Therefore, for organizations to create new knowledge sharing strategies are essentials to align to the knowledge economy to overcome business challenges [2, 3]. A Study on the perception of POKM as the organizational knowledge sharing enabler
Knowledge is asset to many knowledge-driven companies in a globally competitive business eco-system. Companies that are able to capture and reuse knowledge efficiently claim that higher quality products and services can be realized in lower cost and time. Researches on factors that motivate successful knowledge practices using Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) have been well investigated. However, factors on people, organization and technology may vary for organizations of different sizes in countries with different culture. In this study, the case organization failed to achieve some of the goals such as knowledge sharing among employees and creation of new skills and knowledge. This research carried out a detailed study on POKM, a tailored made KMS used by a Malaysian IT Shared Services Company. This study investigates the perception of knowledge workers toward technological characteristics of POKM. The study examines the POKM system quality, perception of POKM user interface, quality of content management offered by POKM, POKM functions, user satisfaction toward POKM and perceived POKM benefit among knowledge workers. The research investigates a IT Shared Services Company in Malaysia. Interview with knowledge workers in the organization takes place before questionnaire survey is distributed to all the participants. This paper presents an in-depth analysis on the interviewees’ responses. The outcome of the interview content is used as the basis to design the questionnaire survey. The outcomes of the research show that the quality of POKM is stable, easy to use and organization of the content is rated good. However, POKM has poor response time and search capability. The content is found to be difficult to locate in the POKM but most participants agree that knowledge stored in the POKM is helpful, can be accessed anytime and anywhere and useful for their day-to-day job. As for the user interface, POKM is not very pleasant to use with a weak set of functions and features in particular social networking feature is not available. For user satisfaction towards POKM, it is shown that users are not satisfied with the efficiency and effectiveness of the systems. However, employees generally are satisfied with ease of access and download features. In term of perceived POKM benefits, users agree that POKM is an enabler for acquiring new knowledge and innovative ideas, managing and storing knowledge, and accomplishing tasks more efficiently. Lastly, knowledge users agree that POKM functions enable knowledge networking, sharing, and creation in the organizatio
A study of marital conflict on measures of social support and mental health
Marital conflict tactics and social supports have been proven to predict health outcomes in couples. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of marital conflict tactics and social support on the general health of couples in Malaysia. It also aims to find out which type of perceived social support has a greater impact on an individual and his?her spouse?s mental health. A random sample of 399 participants from Selangor who were either married or cohabiting were used in this study. Characteristics of conflict tactics and perceived social support in relation to general health were assessed. The result shows a moderate correlation between the variables. This supports the hypothesis that the manner in which couples handle conflict has an influence on their mental health. Additionally, couples? ability to handle conflict is also related to perceived social support. This means that a person with a better conflict tactic scale and more perceived social support is more likely to have a better general health
