Some biochemical indicators of the composition of the amniotic fluid with polyhydramnios

The biochemical composition of amniotic fluid during pregnancy complicated by polyhydramnios has not been essentially studied, although it is of interest for elucidating the mechanisms of polyhydramnios, prevention and treatment. We have studied the content of sugar, chlorides, urea, residual nitrogen and total protein in the amniotic fluid in 11 pregnant women suffering from polyhydramnios. The diagnosis of polyhydramnios in them was made on the basis of a clinical study and then confirmed by measuring the amount of amniotic fluid obtained during childbirth.</jats:p
