This paper presents the results of surveys of ponds in the Žumberak-Samoborsko gorje Nature Park. The data were collected during 2005 and 164 ponds still present in this area were registered, of at least 342 ponds that were here in the past. The trend in pond loss in this area was calculated, and the opinions of the 54 inhabitants about ponds are analysed.Rad donosi rezultate istraživanja lokvi u Parku prirode Žumberak – Samoborsko gorje. Construction supervision in construction project

Every construction project is a unique, complex process. Every completed structure is permanent act into space, and has therefore substantial influence upon social and natural environment. As a consequence, it is essential to provide professional supervision of the construction process that will ensure conformity of the construction with the project documentation and the building permit.\ud \ud The purpose of the thesis is to present the role of the construction supervision and the work of the supervising engineer within the construction project, through all the phases of the project. The analysis is carried out on the basis of construction legislature analysis. The relevant legislature provides requirements for conditions, duties and responsibilities of the supervising engineer towards the owner, as well as towards public interest.\ud \ud The first part of the thesis summarizes and discusses the relevant legislature that affects the work of the supervising engineer. The importance of quality in the construction process is discussed, and the work of the supervising engineer in all construction stages (design, construction, maintenance) is presented. Three case studies, where key tasks of the supervisor are analyzed, are presented. The structures to be built within the selected projects have various levels of importance and therefore require different scope of supervising activities.\ud \ud Supervising the construction is responsible and presents a key activity in quality assurance during construction. As the role of construction supervision is often unclear, it leaves open several questions, especially from the view point of his authorization and liability in case of professionally conducted work.\u

Web editor for JSON files defined by content schemes

The thesis presents a solution for editing JSON files using a web interface. The presented solution allows editing of JSON files using a content schema, where properties of all elements for the JSON file are described. The schema contains elements of different data types. Each of them can be acompanied by optional parameters (i.e. such parameters are text validation, minimum allowed number,\dots). The solution was implemented as a Web application. \textit{Perl}, \textit{JavaScript} and \textit{jQuery} tehnologies were used. To describe a \textit{HTML} file the {\tt HTML::Templates} system is used, for text editing and the implementation of the file manager existing opensource solutions were used. Advantage of implemented solution over existing solutions for editing JSON files is that it allows editing of multiple connected JSON files simultaneously on one web page

Raba nedoločnih količinskih zaimkov v dveh francosko- slovenskih korpusih: v Spooku in v Evrokorpusu

Članek je namenjen analizi izražanja količine z nedoločnimi kvantifikatorji v francoščini in slovenščini. V francoščini smo proučevali nedoločne zaimke in nedoločne določevalnike, v slovenščini pa njihove ustreznice: nedoločne pridevniške in samostalniške zaimke ter števnike. Izhajali smo iz francoščine. V članku smo na podlagi primerjav dveh francosko-slovenskih korpusov iskali pomenske ustreznice nedoločnim kvantifikatorjem. Dobili smo presenetljivo veliko število različnih prevodnih rešitev, a še vedno so največji delež med prevodnimi rešitvami zavzeli izbrani kvantifikatorji. Dokazali smo, da jih je kljub slovarskim prevodnim ustreznicam mogoče prevesti s številnimi drugimi ustreznicami. Dokazali pa smo tudi, da je lahko prevod francoskega kvantifikatorja (predvsem celostnega) v slovenskem stavku izpuščen, ne da bi se pri tem izgubil pomen izvornega stavka

‘Axis of evil or access to diesel?: spaces of new imperialism and the Iraq war’

The invasion of Iraq in 2003 was waged by the so-called ‘Coalition of the Willing’. This paper will examine how the war was a space in the ongoing geographical extension of global capitalism linked to U.S. foreign policy. Was it simply the decision by a unitary, hegemonic actor in the inter-state system overriding concerns by other states? Was it an imperialist move to secure the ‘global oil spigot’? Alternatively, did the use of military force reflect the interests and emergence of a transnational state apparatus? In this paper, we argue that the U.S. needs to be conceptualised as a specific form of state, within which and through which national and transnational capital operate to establish the interests of a national fraction of an Atlantic ruling class. It is these processes of class struggle and their relation to wider struggles over spaces of imperialism, which need to be at the centre of analysis
