Personal Disclosure: Supervision’s Goals Reflected in Trainee Experience
The research question of this study explored how trainees’ experienced personal disclosures compared to the goals expressed by supervision theories. This study only explored the experience within a quasi-supervision environment, a practitioner-centered supervision occuring in groups within academic environments; developed from clinical supervision, it differs in environment, lack of access to client records, and lack of client oversight responsibilities, leading to a focus on practitioner-growth instead of client safety
