Многоцелевая модель смешанного целочисленного программирования для построения и оптимизации многоэшелонной сети постановок
Застосовується змішане лінійне цілочислове програмування до побудови багатоешелонної мережі поставок (SCN) за допомогою оптимізації перевезень і розподілу в SCN. Запропонована модель дозволяє враховувати багато задач SCN за допомогою розгляду загальних витрат на транспортування і місткості всіх ешелонів. У модель включено три різні цільові функції: перша – мінімізує повні вартості перевезень між усіма ешелонами; друга – мінімізує витрати від збереження і вартості замовлення в центрах розподілу (DCs), а остання цільова функція мінімізує зайву і невикористану потужність заводів і DCs.This paper applies a mixed integer linear programming to designing a multi echelon supply chain network (SCN) via optimizing commodity transportation and distribution of a SCN. Proposed model attempts to aim multi objectives of SCN by considering total transportation costs and capacities of all echelons. The model composed of three different objective functions. The first one is minimizing the total transportation costs between all echelons. Second one is minimizing of holding and ordering costs in distribution centers (DCs) and the last objective function is minimizing the unnecessary and unused capacity of plants and DCs.Применяется смешанное линейное целочисленное программирование к построению многоэшелонной сети поставок (SCN) посредством оптимизации перевозок и распределения в SCN. Предложенная модель позволяет учесть многие задачи SCN посредством рассмотрения общих затрат на транспортировку и емкостей всех эшелонов. В модель включены три различные целевые функции: первая – минимизирует полные стоимости перевозок между всеми эшелонами; вторая – минимизирует затраты от сохранения и стоимости заказа в центрах распределения (DCs), а последняя целевая функция минимизирует излишнюю и неиспользованную способность заводов и DCs

Предложены приближенные верхние и нижние оценки коэффициента готовности высоконадежной восстанавливаемой системы со структурной избыточностью. Полученные расчетные соотношения могут использоваться для оценки надежности высоконадежных систем с учетом различных стратегий пополнения ЗИП
MEIRER-GORLIN SYNDROME: A PRIMORDIAL DWARFIC RARE CASE WITH GROWTH AND MENTAL RETARDATION IN NORMAL KARYOTYPE
Meirer-Gorlin syndrome: a primordial dwarfic rare case with growth and mental retardation in normal karyotype: The Meier-Gorlin syndrome (MGS) / ear, patella, short stature syndrome (MIM 224690) is an autosomal recessive inherited disorder. Point mutations of ORC1, ORC4, ORC6, CDT1, and CDC6 genes that play crucial role in the origin recognition complex for DNA replication were reported in MGS. Here, we report a 9 years old boy with some clinical findings diagnosed as MGS. This case was the 4th child of a first degree relative couple and born with 3 kg weight in the 37th week of gestation (at the birth time mother was 29 and father was 39 years old). The case showed short stature, failure to thrive, microcephaly, micrognathia, mandibular hypoplasia, bilateral microtia, full lips, long eyelashes, mental retardation and hypoplastic patellas. He was evaluated as a normal chromosomal structure after lymphocyte cell culture and GTG-banding karyotype analysis (46,XY). The genetic counseling was given and he was followed for growth and mental retardation
Impact of low-level laser therapy as an adjunct to non-surgical periodontal treatment on the levels of tissue plasminogen activator and plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 in Stage 3-4, Grade C periodontitis patients: a split-mouth, randomized control study
Aim To investigate the effects of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) as an adjunct to non-surgical periodontal treatment (NSPT) on the plasminogen-activating system.Materials and Methods Stage 3-4 Grade C periodontitis and age-gender-matched healthy individuals participated in the split-mouth study (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier, NCT05233501). The study groups were Periodontitis/NSPT (Sham); Periodontitis/NSPT + LLLT (LLLT); Healthy (Control). Following NSPT, LLLT was applied on Days 0, 2 and 7. Clinical parameters were recorded at baseline and on Day 30. Gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) was collected at baseline, on days 7, 14, and 30; tissue-type plasminogen activator (tPA) and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) levels were measured with ELISA. Results Clinical parameters, total GCF tPA (tPAt) and PAI-1 (PAI-1t) levels significantly reduced in LLLT and Sham groups ( 0.05). GCF PAI-1t levels were significantly lower in LLLT than the Sham on day 30 ( 0.05). Conclusion Adjunctive LLLT modulates the plasminogen activating system in severe periodontitis by altering GCF tPA and PAI-1 levels.Clinical relevanceLLLT as an adjunct to non-surgical periodontal treatment in patients with Stage 3-4 Grade C leads to reduced plasminogen activation.Scientific Research Fund of Beykent University [201819-BAP-05]This study was supported by the Scientific Research Fund of Beykent University (Grant/Award Number: 2018-19-BAP-05)
The impact of age on post-operative outcomes of colorectal cancer patients undergoing surgical treatment
BACKGROUND: the purpose of study was to evaluate the impact of age on outcomes in colorectal cancer surgery. METHODS: patients on hospital database treated for colorectal cancer during the period 1995 – 2002 were divided into two groups: Group 1 – patients of 75 years or older (n = 154), and Group 2 – those younger than 75 years (n = 532). RESULTS: In Group 1, for colon cancers, proximal tumors were significantly more common (23% vs. 13.5%, p < 0.05), complicated cases were more frequent (46 % vs. 33%, p = 0.002), bowel obstruction more common at presentation (40% vs. 26.5%, p = 0.001), and more frequent emergency surgery required (24% vs. 14%, p = 0.003). Postoperative overall morbidity was higher in the elderly group, but with no differences in surgical complications rate. Overall 5 year survival was 39% vs. 55% (p = 0.0006) and cancer related 5 year survival was 44% vs. 62% (p = 0.0006). Multivariate Cox analysis showed that age was not an independent risk factor for postoperative mortality. CONCLUSION: Preoperative complications and co-morbidities, more advanced disease, and higher postoperative nonsurgical complication rates adversely affect postoperative outcomes after surgery for colorectal cancer in the elderly

In this chapter, the subject of the supplier selection problem using a fuzzy decision-making approach, judging by the impact of smart and sustainable operations, was studied. Nine smart and nine sustainable criteria were determined to evaluate five alternative suppliers and consider them as two distinct groups. The two-objective model developed for the solution of the problem tries to maximize the smartness and sustainability values of the supply separately while meeting the problem-specific constraints. The coefficients for the objective functions were obtained by evaluating the smart and sustainable maturity levels of the potential suppliers, and the aim was to purchase more from suitable suppliers according to the relative importance of the objectives. Then the developed multi-objective model was advanced fuzzy linear programming by benefitting from fuzzy decision-making to get the optimum solution to the problem. Afterward, different smart and sustainability weight pairs were determined considering the expectations of the decision-makers, and the results obtained from all scenarios were analyzed by applying the weighted additive method. © 2023 selection and editorial matter, Turan Paksoy and Muhammet Deveci; individual chapters, the contributors
