Avenues of future research in homotransplantation of the liver with particular reference to hepatic supportive procedures, antilymphocyte serum, and tissue typing
Three general areas of research which bear on the developing field of liver transplantation are reviewed. These are: (1) the prospects of obtaining better immunosuppression with particular reference to heterologous antilymphocyte serum; (2) the possible use of antigen matching technics as an advanced indicator of donorrecipient histocompatibility; (3) a simlified system of extracorporeal transplntation designed to provide teporary hepatic support. © 1966

enfrentar situaciones potencialmente peligrosas.
The general objective of this research work was to describe the
knowledge of nursing staff about the exposure of psychophysical risks to which
they are exposed in the mental health service of the Zonal Dr. Andrés Isola
hospital in the city of Puerto Madryn, Chubut during the year 2023. A
quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional design was used, data was
collected through individually structured surveys of the nursing staff of the
Mental Health Service of the Andrés Isola Hospital in the city of Puerto Madryn.
The research results highlight the importance of knowledge and competence of
nursing staff in the management of psychophysical risks. 82% of nurses
perceive themselves to have good knowledge in this area, but the remaining
18% indicate limitations, pointing out the need for additional training. Regarding
prevention and management measures, 65% of staff feel highly competent,
while 35% show a partial level of competence. This underscores the need to
assess and strengthen areas of weakness and provide additional training on
specific measures. Although staff show a strong understanding of physical and
psychosocial mental health risks, areas for improvement are identified, such as
identifying red flags and appropriate management strategies. The findings
underline the crucial importance of having highly competent nurses in the
prevention and management of psychophysical risks in mental health settings.
Given the global relevance of mental health nursing, these data reinforce the
need to improve training to ensure effective and safe care for patients with
mental disorders. The findings also highlight the importance of nursing staff
safety when facing potentially dangerous situations. The need for professionals to have knowledge and skills to address aggressive or hostile users is
presented as a priority.
