The certification of the mass fraction of carbon in cementite grains in a Fe-C matrix: IRMM-471

The report describes the production and certification of IRMM-471, a reference material certified for the carbon mass fraction of its cementite (Fe3C) grains. The Fe3C grains are dispersed within an iron pearlite matrix and present an average grain diameter between 20 µm and 50 μm. Rhodium nanoflowers stabilized by a nitrogen-rich PEG-tagged substrate as recyclable catalyst for the stereoselective hydrosilylation of internal alkynes

Morphology and size controllable rhodium nanoparticles stabilized by a nitrogen-rich polyoxyethylenated derivative have been prepared by reduction of RhCl3 with NaBH4 in water at room temperature and fully characterized. The flower-like Rh NPs are effective and recyclable catalysts for the stereoselective hydrosilylation of challenging internal alkynes and diynes, affording the (E)-vinylsilanes in quantitative yields for a wide range of substrates. Impact on heated simplified leading edge

<p>These images present an impact configuration of a simulated fragment on an heated simplified landing edge. This test was performed as part of the Clean Sky 2 PANTHER project (Grant Agreement #820819), and implemented by Thiot Ingenierie Shock Physics Laboratory.</p><p>It consists in evaluating the impact resistance of a TiAl leading edge when heated at 800°C and impacted by a 3mm fragment at 150 m/s.</p&gt
