Performance Evaluation of IPTV over WiMAX Networks Under Different Terrain Environments

Deployment Video on Demand (VoD) over the next generation (WiMAX) has become one of the intense interest subjects in the research these days, and is expected to be the main revenue generators in the near future. In this paper, the performance of Quilty of Service of video streaming (IPTV) over fixed mobile WiMax network is investigated under different terrain environments, namely Free Space, Outdoor to Indoor and Pedestrian. OPNET is used to investigate the performance of VoD over WiMAX. Abstract : "The European Union (EU) has lofty ambitions in the fight against climate change and the will to develop effective tools to do so. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, unveiled the European Green Deal in December 2019, which sets out the EU’s roadmap for revising all European regulations and introducing new ones, to align with its environmental ambitions. The Green Deal targets a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 compared to 1990, and carbon neutrality by 2050, in line with the Paris Agreement (European Commission, 2021). Moreover, these targets have been incorporated into the European climate law that came into force in July 2021. A Comparative Study of SOAP Vs REST Web Services Provisioning Techniques for Mobile Host

Web services are moving towards mobile wireless world as a new emerging technology for mobile applications communication. Now mobile devices can operate as web service providers due to the advancement in mobile device capabilities and it has also become possible due to improvement in web service development technologies and wireless communication techniques. Today’s most important need is to provide uninterrupted, lightweight, continuous web services to resource constrained mobile device in wireless environment. This paper presents a detailed comparison between two frameworks used for providing web services through SOAP and REST and also discusses the problems and challenges in these two frameworks. With the help of comparison we can decide which frame work is most suitable for wireless environment and fulfills the current needs of accessing lightweight mobile web services continuously from resource constrained mobile device. Le mécanisme d’ajustement carbone aux frontières adopté par l’Union européenne

« L’Union europeenne a de grandes ambitions pour lutter contre les changements climatiques et se donne pour mandat d’elaborer des outils efficaces pour ce faire. Ursula von der Leyen, la presidente de la Commission européenne, a dévoilé en décembre 2019 le Pacte vert pour l’Europe. Ce dernier dresse la feuille de route de l’Union européenne pour réviser toutes les réglementations européennes et en instaurer de nouvelles, afin de s’aligner sur ses ambitions environnementales. Le Pacte prévoit un objectif de diminution de 55 % des émissions de gaz à effet de serre d’ici 2030 par rapport à 1990, et la carboneutralité d’ici 2050, conformément à l’Accord de Paris (Commission europeenne, 2021). Ces objectifs ont d’ailleurs été integrés à la loi européenne sur le climat entrée en vigueur en juillet 2021.
