Believing and belonging? Religious salience and politicality of young Bosnian Muslims in the time of Islamophobia
After fleeing war-torn Yugoslavia, the Bosnian Muslim diaspora quickly developed institutions of sociability and solidarity in ‘the West.’ Although they align with a moderate and secular Islam, the generation born after the war endures a climate of hate and hostility. This study investigates how young Bosnian Muslims nurture political participation and keep peddling the stereotype that Muslims threaten liberal democracy. It looks at how the group under study responds to the disadvantages inherent in the post-migrant situatedness and religious identity in Belgium, Germany, and Poland. Collected qualitative data show that a high level of religious salience does not obstruct integration and civic engagement but instead stimulates unconventional and non-institutional political participation. The findings also indicate that young Muslims with Bosnian roots do not resent their family heritage and Muslim community. Yet they self-reiterate a sense of remote-ness with other post-diasporic Muslim communities by associating themselves with ‘European Islam.
THE CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM AND THE POSITION OF ETHNIC MINORITES IN THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA
This article aims to examine the ethnic minorities’ state of affairs in light of the constitutional reforms in Armenia since President Serzh Sargsyan decided to open the consultations with the parliamentary factions in November 2005. Policy-makers and representatives on behalf of ethnic minority groups have been taking relevantly place at the recent wave of democratic protests throughout the process of constitutional reforms in order to entrench a more stable multiparty system, an independent judiciary, new balances between State and civic society. Hence, what is the reason to endorse those tiny ethnic groups such as wealth of minority rights and political recognition? Why have ethnic Armenian minority groups not had objections or particular regrets in the constitutional reform processes? In turn, may this high level of internal recognition of ethnic minority groups foster assistance to Armenian minorities and protect Armenian heritage into the de facto entities of the South Caucasus

Route level analysis of road pavement surface condition and truck fleet fuel consumption
Experimental studies have estimated the impact of road surface conditions on vehicle fuel consumption to be up to 5% (Beuving et al., 2004). Similar results have been published by Zaabar and Chatti (2010). However, this was established testing a limited number of vehicles under carefully controlled conditions including, for example, steady speed or coast down and no gradient, amongst others. This paper describes a new “Big Data” approach to validate these estimates at truck fleet and route level, for a motorway in the UK. Modern trucks are fitted with many sensors, used to inform truck fleet managers about vehicle operation including fuel consumption. The same measurements together with data regarding pavement conditions can be used to assess the impact of road surface conditions on fuel economy. They are field data collected for thousands of trucks every day, year on year, across the entire network in the UK. This paper describes the data analysis developed and the initial results on the impact of road surface condition on fuel consumption for journeys of 157 trucks over 42.6km of motorway, over a time period of one year. Validation of the relationship between road pavement surface condition and vehicle fuel consumption will increase confidence in results of LCA analyses including the use phase

Rolling resistance contribution to a road pavement life cycle carbon footprint analysis
Purpose
Although the impact of road pavement surface condition on rolling resistance has been included in the life cycle assessment (LCA) framework of several studies in the last years, there is still a high level of uncertainty concerning the methodological assumptions and the parameters that can affect the results. In order to adopt pavement carbon footprint/LCA as a decision-making tool, it is necessary to explore the impact of the chosen methods and assumptions on the LCA results.
Methods
This paper provides a review of the main models describing the impact of the pavement surface properties on vehicle fuel consumption and analyses the influence of the methodological assumptions related to the rolling resistance on the LCA results. It compares the CO2 emissions, calculated with two different rolling resistance models existing in literature, and performs a sensitivity test on some specific input variables (pavement deterioration rate, traffic growth, and emission factors/fuel efficiency improvement).
Results and discussion
The model used to calculate the impact of the pavement surface condition on fuel consumption significantly affects the LCA results. The pavement deterioration rate influences the calculation in both models, while traffic growth and fuel efficiency improvement have a limited impact on the vehicle CO2 emissions resulting from the pavement condition contribution to rolling resistance.
Conclusions and recommendations
Existing models linking pavement condition to rolling resistance and hence vehicle emissions are not broadly applicable to the use phase of road pavement LCA and further research is necessary before a widely-used methodology can be defined. The methods of modelling and the methodological assumptions need to be transparent in the analysis of the impact of the pavement surface condition on fuel consumption, in order to be interpreted by decision makers and implemented in an LCA framework. This will be necessary before product category rules (PCR) for pavement LCA can be extended to include the use phase
Connections between the space of Buenos Aires and the party´s temporality in the transformist practices of the 21st century
In this paper, four festive events, which are part of the queer community, are addressed. All of them were central in the development of the drag artscene in the second half of the 2010s: Trabestia Drag Club, Carrera de reyes, Namunkurá and Fiestas Turbo. It is studied the ways in which these spaces were configured from their inscription in the city of Buenos Aires. It is also observed how the city was transformed by the presence of these spaces. Along with this, another issue that is explored is the relationship between those spaces of the queer community and the temporality of the parties. It is proposed, as an initial hypothesis, that both the spatial and temporal conceptions of drag art, carried out in the festive events mentioned above, introduce an intrinsic tension by being constituted as oppositions to the usual cartographic designs and to the daytime of production. In this way, a swinging movement is generated as drag practices push for an insertion that allows integration in the artistic field, but it is the oddnessthat gives them their disobedient and identity character.Fil: Trupia, Agustina. Reworking with monstrosity: Audiovisual productions with drag artists between 2015 and 2022 in Argentina
This paper studies, on one hand, Miss Argendrag (2020), Juego de reinas (2021-2022) and Dragaza (2020-2022) which resume the competition format in order to choose a winning drag queen. On the other hand, two productions, Reynas, el arte drag queen (2015-2016) and Montate Darling (2019-2022), offer access to the moment of preparation of the artists. In all cases, a redefinition of the conception of otherness as monstrous appears through which this social expulsion is rework to turn it into a powerful place of enunciation. They are materials that could be considered minor, from the audiovisual studies, due to their self-managed modes of production, their circulation on the Internet and the seriality that borders, in some cases, a television format.
Army Corps of Engineers
• Alcuni particolari costruttiv
