Ensuring the sustainability of customary use on Indigenous and community-held lands

This guide is for local organisations (e.g. community-based organisations and trusted local non-governmental organisations) which are supporting Indigenous Peoples and local communities (IP & LCs) in their desire to assess the sustainability of natural resources on their lands (both terrestrial and marine), and implement activities to ensure that this use is sustainable, where necessary. It can also be used by Indigenous Peoples and by local community groups directly. In this guidance, we’re looking at sustainability simply as making sure natural resources are used in a way that doesn’t decrease their amount, ensures nature can keep working properly, and aligns with community understandings about responsibilities to future generations

どのように行為すべきなのか？（六）―道徳についての生徒たちの会話―

　この章ではまず、動物にみられる本能的利他主義と人間にみられる規範的利他主義の違いが論じられ、本来の意味で道徳的と呼ばれうるのは後者だけであるということが確認される。筆者たちは道徳の根本規範を、〈他の人びとに敬意を払うべきである、他の人びとを人として承認すべきである〉という義務のうちにみる。そして、他の人びとを人として承認するとは、他の人びとの権利を承認するということにほかならない、と述べる。次に、承認と敬意は共感（好感、好意、愛情）とは別のものだということが指摘される。というのも、共感は、あまりにも限界がありすぎ、また、不安定でもあるからだ。筆者たちによれば道徳は、共感の拡張といったものではなく、共感に備わる限界を補うものとみなされるべきである。最後に、暴力や戦争へと導きかねない反感（嫌悪、敵意、憎悪）という感情をどのように克服すべきなのか、という問題が取り扱われている。　In diesem Kapitel wird zuerst diskutiert, wo der Unterschied liegt zwischen dem instinktgesteuerten Altruismus von Tieren und dem normativen Altruismus von Menschen, wobei eigentlich nur letzterer als moralisch bezeichnet werden kann. Nach den Autoren besteht die Grundnorm der Moral darin, dass man die anderen achten, sie anerkennen soll und andere anerkennen heißt, ihre Rechte anzuerkennen. Anschließend wird darauf hingewiesen, dass Anerkennung und Achtung etwas anderes sind als Sympathie. Denn Sympathie sei zum einen viel zu eingeschränkt und zum anderen auch nicht beständig. Moral sei keine Erweiterung von Sympathie, sondern ein Ersatz für die Begrenztheit unserer Sympathien. Schließlich wird die Frage behandelt, wie Antipathie, die zur Gewalttätigkeit oder sogar zum Krieg führen kann, zu überwinden ist

Este artigo tem por objetivo essencial contribuir para o esclarecimento teórico-filosófico do uso de conceitos como ética, moral, axiologia e valores, habitualmente empregues para nos referirmos a uma mesma realidade. Para tal, começaremos por analisar as respetivas etimologias que os caracterizam, examinaremos os diversos matizes dos seus sentidos diferenciados, bem como a sua relação de complementaridade, e terminaremos referindo o que entendemos por valores e qual a sua natureza e importância, principais características, bem como o universo a que se reportam. Ao longo do texto, aduziremos e concluiremos pelo uso preferencial do conceito de "ética" a "moral", para o qual estão reservados os termos "normas" e "regras", e o de "valor" a "norma", a par de uma perspetiva crítica daquela
