Requirement of originality is determined by Article 1 paragraph (3) Act Number 19 of 2002 on Copyright can be easily applied to new creations, but when it comes to creations such as traditional folktale takes more search to determine their originality. Folktale began to transferred into another form that is more interesting, but reduce the element of originality to the story so the younger generation may not know the real form of the folktale. Based on that background, this study discussed problem about originality concept on copyright in a work, Act Number 19 of 2002 on Copyright and the Berne Convention and the legal protection on originality of folktale. Aim: This study examined how school characteristics influence mathematics achievement among Grade 9 students in South Africa. The research investigated the direct effects of school factors on achievement, explored mediating pathways through student characteristics, and analysed how these relationships vary across geographical contexts, focusing on academic emphasis, disciplinary climate, and resource effects between urban and rural settings. Theory: The research integrated the Dynamic Model of Educational Effectiveness with Durkheim’s Social Facts Theory to create a comprehensive theoretical framework. This synthesis provided foundations for examining how institutional and individual factors interact to influence mathematics achievement while acknowledging how social structures systematically shape educational outcomes across varied contexts. Methods: The study employed hierarchical linear modelling, together with the mixed.sdf function in the EdSurvey package, the R Programming Language for statistical analysis, to analyse data from the TIMSS 2019 South Africa Grade 9 assessment (20,829 students, 519 schools). The analysis examined direct school effects while controlling for student characteristics, investigated mediating pathways, and analysed cross-level interactions between school characteristics and geographical location. Results: School characteristics substantially influenced mathematics achievement through both direct and indirect pathways. School emphasis on academic success enhanced achievement directly and through student confidence (indirect effect: 0.389), while disciplinary climate operated through students’ classroom behavioural mechanisms. Geographic location emerged as a crucial moderator, with resource effects reversing between urban (b = 17.004) and rural contexts (interaction: b = -21.112). This demonstrates how institutional structures systematically shape mathematics achievement across South Africa’s diverse landscape

An Android-based medicines knowledge management system (KMS) application has been built as a result of a research about the usage of medicines on pregnant women. Usability testing is needed to be used to measure the success rate of the implementation of this mobile application. In this study, the Usefulness, Satisfaction and Ease of Use (USE) Questionnaire method is used, with quantitative and qualitative analysis. Based on the test results, it shows that the KMS application for pregnant women has a high usability result, with each component score, namely Usefulness reaches 86%, Ease of Use of 86%, and Satisfaction of 84%. On average, 85% indicates that the Android-based medicines KMS application for pregnant women has high quality attributes in ease of use. In addition, this application already has criteria to meet the needs of users, especially pregnant women, to easily find information and knowledge about medicines that are safe to consume during pregnancy to relieve pain or pregnancy complaints

Characterization of Soil and Sediment Parameters of Jisike-Izombe Upper Aquifer System for Assessment of the Potential of Groundwater Pollution

The JES field, an onshore field in the Jisike – Izombe area of southeastern Nigeria had a number of oil-producing wells before it was abandoned over a decade ago. By means of soil/sediment samples retrieved from three strategically located boreholes around the field, the subsurface units were delineated and the physical characteristics of the vadose zone were determined in order to predict the groundwater pollution potential of the upper aquifer system in the area. Ground conditions were found to be approximately 1metre (3.043ft) of loamy top soil overlying about 1.2metres (3.65ft) of clayey laterite which overlies 19.4 – 24.6metres i.e (60ft – 75ft) of reddish-brown silty sand, beneath which is medium – coarse grained white sand which constitutes the aquifer system with estimated hydraulic conductivity in the range 1 x 10-1 to 169 x 10-1 mm/sec. Flow analysis of groundwater indicates a southwesterly flow with the River Niger as possible discharge zone. The high leaching potentials and high transmissive properties of the sediments below the clayey laterite suggests a vulnerability of the aquifer to pollution through vertical infiltration. However, borehole water quality parameters for the area show that groundwater quality is not in anyway compromised when compared to the WHO limits. Rather, it is argued that the groundwater is naturally well protected by the upper part of the vadose zone where the clayey lateritic soil with iron oxide cementation of soil particles provides an appreciable degree of barrier to downward movement of contaminants. Because of the clayey behavour of the near-surface soils and their affinity for the retention of contaminants, it is concluded that the area is not a locus of groundwater pollution. © JASE
