Magnetic properties of Gd_{1-x}Pr_xBa_2Cu_3O_{7-y} single crystals
Magnetic properties were studied for the high quality Al-free orthorhombic
Gd_{1-x}Pr_xBa_2Cu_3O_{7-y} single crystals (0<=x<=1.0) grown by the flux
method. An indication on the interaction between the Pr and Cu(2) magnetic
sublattices was found for Pr123. Different signs of magnetic anisotropy were
established for the Pr and Gd ions at low temperatures. It was also shown that
superconductivity reported by Zou et al. [Phys. Rev. Lett. 80 (1998) 1074] for
Pr123 single crystals grown by TSZF method seems to be connected with partial
substitution of Ba for the Pr-sites.Comment: 2 pages (LaTeX2e), 4 EPS figures, phbauth style file included. LT22

Nonexistence results for some nonlinear elliptic and parabolic inequalities with functional parameters
We obtain results on nonexistence of nontrivial nonnegative solutions for some elliptic and parabolic inequalities with functional parameters involving the -Laplacian operator. The proof is based on the test function method
PrBa_2Cu_3O_{7-y}: Superconducting or Anomalously Magnetic?
In PrBa_2Cu_3O_{7-y} (Pr123) single crystals grown by the flux method the
kink in the magnetic susceptibility chi_{ab}(T), connected with AFM ordering of
Pr, disappears after field cooling (FC) in a field H||ab-plane whereas the kink
in chi_c(T) remains unchanged after FC in H||c-axis. This seems to be connected
with the coupling between the Pr and Cu(2) sublattices. The Curie constant C
determined from the data reported for superconducting Pr123 crystals grown by
traveling-solvent floating zone (TSFZ) method (Zou et al, Phys. Rev. Lett., 80,
1074 (1998)) is about one half of that for our flux crystals. Thus, the
concentration of Pr in TSFZ crystal seems to be about one half of the nominal
for Pr123. Therefore, superconductivity in TSFZ samples is connected most
probably with the partial substitution of Pr by nonmagnetic Ba.Comment: 3 pages (LaTeX), 2 embedded EPS figures. Talk given at the New3SC-2

Health status of Native people living in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)
Background. Native people of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) live mostly in northern regions in the so-called “national settlements”. Natives usually experience more health-related problems as compared to the total population. As a result, life expectancy at the birth of Natives living in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is lower compared to ethnic groups living in European countries, in the United States, and in Canada. Objective of the study. To determine the prevalence of diseases among Natives living in Yakutia and to compare the standards of living for Dolgans living in the Anabarsky region and Evenks living in Gigansky and Ust-Maysky regions. Study design/methods. The study was designed as a population-based, cross-sectional examination with the addition of a cross-sectional survey for Dolgans and Evenks. Data were obtained from 324 Evenks, 43 Evens, 230 Dolgans, and 216 people of other ethnic groups, aged 17–86. In the additional cross-sectional survey, 155 Dolgans and 292 Evenks were included. Results. Among Natives, the most prevalent diseases are digestive diseases (67.9 cases per 100 examined), diseases of the genitourinary system (45.3 per 100 examined), circulatory system diseases (44.4 per 100 examined), diseases of the respiratory system (36.9 cases per 100 examined) and diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue (28.4 cases per 100 examined). There are differences in the prevalence among Natives living in different regions. Anabarsky region has the lowest disease burden and Dolgans inhabiting this region have higher standards of living than Evenks living in Gigansky and Ust-Maysky regions. Conclusions. The prevalence of diseases among the Natives, living in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), is very high. Differences in raw prevalence rate between Native ethnic groups were found, but it is unknown whether these differences can be assigned rather to the difference in standards of living in the inhabited locality than to ethnicity itself
Anomalous magnetic ordering in PrBa_2Cu_3O_{7-y} single crystals: Evidence for magnetic coupling between the Cu and Pr sublattices
In Al-free PrBa_2Cu_3O_{7-y} single crystals the kink in the temperature
dependence of magnetic susceptibility chi_{ab}(T), connected with Pr
antiferromagnetic ordering, disappears after field cooling (FC) in a field H ||
ab-plane. The kink in chi_c(T) remains unchanged after FC in H || c-axis. As a
possible explanation, freezing of the Cu magnetic moments, lying in the
ab-plane, caused by FC in H || ab, hinders their reorientation and, due to
coupling between the Pr and Cu(2) sublattices, ordering of the Pr^{3+} moments.
A field induced phase transition and a field dependence of the Pr^{3+} ordering
temperature have been found for both H || c and H || ab.Comment: 11 pages (LaTex with elsart.sty), 5 EPS figs. Accepted to Physica
HISTOFUNCTION TRANSFORMATION IN ENDOCRINE AND IMMUNE ORGANS UNDER VARIOUS REGIMEN INFLUENCE OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
The effects of resonance and no-resonance of the low-intensify EMW frequency regimes were examined in Vistar rats, males. The microscopic structures and histochemical changes in thyroid, thymus, adrenals, ovaries, and other organs were studied. Our researchers evidenced, that the resonance EMW frequency regime slightly stimulates cell mitotic activity and exchange of substances in organ’s parenchyma and micro-circulation in connective tissue stroma. Treatment the course of no-resonance frequency EMW regime deteriorates the ratio between parenchyma and mesenchyme components correlation is detected in organ
Abstractive microblogs summarization
Microblogging is a new electronic communication medium based on short status updates
containing personal and instant information. Due to the popularity of microblogs, the
volume of information is enormous and big portion of it is duplicative or irrelevant. The
effective way to summarize information can be used by scientists, journalists and marketing
analysts to get cleverer insights about people’s reactions and opinions on different
topics: political debates, sport events or product presentations.
Existing summarization algorithms can be enhanced in several ways. The first way
is to add sentiment analysis. As information in microblogs is very opinionated, analyzing
tweets polarity can improve machine summaries by selecting more sentiment tweets
than pure topical. Another enhancement is to use different summary length for different
topics. Previous studies often limit summaries to be particular length. Relaxing this
restriction can present summaries that are more optimal for a particular topic.
The goal of this research is to perform qualitative study of these enhancements and
to provide insights and suggestions for conducting bigger qualitative research. In total
ten topics are selected, for which human summaries are compared to state-of-the-art
non-sentiment and sentiment summarizers.
Resulting observations are the following: there is more topical than sentiment content
in summaries generated by humans, however individual biases could be against the
trend; the length of the summary is an important feature that influences both generation
of human summaries and interpretation of evaluation results, different topics require
summaries of different length; sentiment summarization doesn’t produce better results
for any evaluation metric used, but there could be possibility for its application in proper
settings with specific topics
