Періодизація української історичної науки та образи М. Грушевського у О. Оглоблина (The Periodization of Ukrainian Historical Study and the Images of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi by Oleksandr Ohloblyn)

У тезах представлений образ М. Грушевського в інтелектуальній спадщині О. Оглоблина через призму його періодизації української історичної науки. Проаналізовано найважливіші історіографічні твори О. Оглоблина, в яких порушено проблеми різних періодів української історіографії. У них постать М. Грушевського зображена як така, чия діяльність охоплює три історіографічні періоди – кінець ХІХ ст., 1905-1918 рр., 20-ті – початок 30-х років ХХ ст. Розглянуто один із ключових підходів О. Оглоблина до періодизації історичної науки – концепцію генерації (покоління) істориків, які є зв’язним елементом у безперервності історіографічного процесу. (The article considers the image of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi in the intellectual heritage of Oleksandr Ohloblyn through the prism of his periodization of Ukrainian historical study. The author analyses the most important historiographic works of Oleksandr Ohloblyn, in which the problems of different periods of Ukrainian historiography are raised. In these works, the figure of Mykhailo Hrushevskyi is depicted as one who covers three historiographical periods – the end of the 19th century, the years 1905-1918, the 1920th-the beginning of the 1930th. The paper also considers one of the key approaches of Oleksandr Ohloblyn to the periodization of historical study i.e. the concept of the generation of historians, who are a coherent element of the uninterrupted historiographical process.

«Комплекс Ионы» в художественной структуре романа Аннелиз Вербеке «Неспящие» («Slaap!»)

Роман «Спи!» розглядається в аспекті проблеми інтерференції «високої» і «масової» літератур. Демонструється, що А. Вербеке адаптує в межах «мідллітератури» низку інтелектуальних дискурсів (екзистенціальний, міфопоетичний, карнавальний, фройдистський, оніричний) і поетологічні прийоми модернізму й постмодернізму (часо-просторові зсуви, фрагментарність, складна наративна структура, «оголення прийому»). Аналізується структуруюча роль архе- типової теми повернення до материнського черева, реалізованої в романі за посередництва біблійного міфу про Йону. (The article deals with the novel «Sleep!» in aspect of «high» and «mass» literature interference problem. In the article we demonstrate the A.Verbeke’s adaptation within the novel of a number of intellectual discourses (existentialistic, mithopoetic, carnival, Freudian, oneiric) and poetological devices of modernism and postmodernism (shifting dimensions of time and space, fragmentariness, complex narrative structure, disillusionment). The structurizing role in the novel of archetypal theme of returning to the mother’s womb, which was performed using the appeal to the biblical Jonah’s myth also was analyzed.

A study of the structure and properties of certain aluminides

Experimental data are presented on the structure and heat resistance of the aluminides ZrAl3, Fe2Al5 and Co2Al9, considering sp. wt., type of combination, and resistance to oxidation at high temperatures. Co2Al9 possesses a relatively high heat of formation, attributed to its high heat resistance characteristics

Зооморфні мотиви в романі А. Володіна "Дондог" (Zoomorphic motifs in the novel «Dondog» by Antoine Volodine)

У статті досліджено бестіарний репертуар роману А. Володіна «Дондог», в якому трагічний досвід історії ХХ століття осмислюється в параметрах постмодерністської дистопії. Встановлено, що зооморфна образність роману, яка втілює жах історичного розвитку, тотальність насильства, оборотність концептів кат-жертва, семантично апелює до міфології «нижнього світу» (таргани й інші комахи, щури, кажани, ворони, вовки, собаки) і демонструє динаміку від зооморфних порівнянь і метафор до антропозооморфних образних конструктів. (The article studies the poetics of bestiarity of the Volodine’s novel «Dondog», in which the tragic experience of the history of the XXth century is interpreted in the parameters of postmodern dystopia. We analyzed the system of zoomorphic motifs (zoomorphic parallels, comparisons, metaphors and idioms; animalistic, anthropozoomorphic and shapeshifter images). It was proved that zoomorphization as a part of mortality topic in «Dondog», is semantically based on the mythological structures (such as chthonic mythology of insects, birds, rodents, wolves as the inhabitants of the «lower world») and transgressive mechanisms (e.g. hybridization, monstrosity). The specific dynamics of the bestiary imagery is revealed from zoomorphic parallels, comparisons and metaphors to the creation of anthropozoomorphic image construct (e.g. Dondog – the cockroach, Marconi – the bird, Schlumm – the wolf, Gabriella Bruna – the horse). Numerous and varied demonstrations of the bestiary discourse in the novel «Dondog» actualize the polar opposite meanings: on the one hand, they act as a mean of the character’s identification in a post-apocalyptic society, which depersonalizes a person with its dehumanizing historical practice (a myriad of insects becomes the symbol of impersonality and massovisation) and reduces it to the lower level of the animal evolution («human-cockroach»); the dominance of bestiary imagery becomes also a sign of the total violence and extrapolates the idea of reversibility in the victim-executioner pair. On the other hand, the animals in Volodine’s work («non-humans», «Untermensch») are presented as a sign of exclusion of the majority and their social organization (swarms, colonies, packs, flocks) becomes a positive counter-model for humanity, which survived the bloody collapse of the «egalitarian utopia».

Fast Traveling-Wave Reactor of the Channel Type

The main aim of this paper is to solve the technological problems of the TWR based on the technical concept described in our priority of invention reference, which makes it impossible, in particular, for the fuel claddings damaging doses of fast neutrons to excess the ~200 dpa limit. Thus the essence of the technical concept is to provide a given neutron flux at the fuel claddings by setting the appropriate speed of the fuel motion relative to the nuclear burning wave. The basic design of the fast uranium-plutonium nuclear traveling-wave reactor with a softened neutron spectrum is developed, which solves the problem of the radiation resistance of the fuel claddings material.Comment: 18 pages, 5 figures, 2 table

The paper deals with methods of choice in the INTERNET of natural-language textual fragments relevant to a given theme. Relevancy is estimated on the basis of semantic analysis of sentences. Recognition of syntactic and semantic connections between words of the text is carried out by the analysis of combinations of inflections and prepositions, without use of categories and rules of traditional grammar. Choice in the INTERNET of the thematic information is organized cyclically with automatic forming of the new key at every cycle when addressing to the INTERNET
