Soziale Integration und gesellschaftlicher Umgang mit Menschen mit autistischen Wahrnehmungen und ihren pflegenden Angehörigen

„Soziale Integration und gesellschaftlicher Umgang mit Menschen mit autistischen Wahrnehmungen und ihren pflegenden Angehörigen“ Autismus-Spektrum-Störungen haben - wie der Name bereits sagt - ein breites Spektrum an Erscheinungsformen. Menschen mit autistischen Wahrnehmungen und deren Angehörige sind mit einer Vielzahl von Herausforderungen konfrontiert, die es zu meistern gilt. Neben den vielen Aufgaben als pflegende Angehörige beeinflusst die Beeinträchtigung des Kindes das Leben aller Beteiligten, sowohl familiär als auch sozial. Aber auch im Alltag ergeben sich Situationen mit Außenstehenden, die für Betroffene nicht immer leicht sind. Die qualitative Studie hatte zum Ziel, einen Einblick in das Leben dieser Familien zu erlangen und deren Erfahrungen aufzuzeigen. Dabei standen die Fragen im Zentrum, wie die Freizeit, das Sozial- und Familienleben aussehen, welche Erfahrungen mit dem gesellschaftlichen Umfeld gemacht werden und welche Entlastungsmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung stehen. Insgesamt wurden im Zeitraum von April bis Juli 2010 sechs Interviews mit pflegenden Angehörigen autistischer Kinder durchgeführt. Die Rekrutierung der Teilnehmer erfolgte über Einrichtungen für Menschen mit autistischen Wahrnehmungen sowie über private Kontakte. Es wurden überwiegend Frauen befragt, lediglich ein Teilnehmer war männlich. Die befragten Personen waren zwischen 38 und 49 Jahren alt und stammten aus dem Raum Wien und Niederösterreich. Zur Auswertung der Daten wurde die zusammenfassende Inhaltsanalyse nach Philipp Mayring herangezogen. Die Datenanalyse ergab die vier Hauptkategorien „Einschränkungen“, „gesellschaftliche Akzeptanz“, „gesellschaftliche Inakzeptanz“ sowie „Unterstützung“, welche sich in mehrere Sub-Kategorien gliedern. Die Studie zeigte, dass die soziale Integration betroffener Familien durch viele Faktoren beeinflusst wird, unter anderem durch unangemessene Reaktionen Außenstehender. Daher soll die Gesellschaft besser über autistische Störungen aufgeklärt werden. Zudem benötigen pflegende Angehörige mehr fachliche Unterstützung, um den Herausforderungen des Alltags gerecht zu werden und ein möglichst „normales“ Leben zu führen.„Social integration and social intercourse of individuals with autism spectrum disorders and their caregivers“ As the name tells, autism spectrum disorders have a broad spectrum of manifestation. People with autism and their family members are confronted with an amount of challenges they have to cope with. Besides many duties and responsibilities of caregivers the disability of the child influences everybody’s life, familial as well as social. But also in everyday life there are situations with outsiders, which aren’t always easy for people concerned. The main goal of the qualitative study was to get an insight in the life of those families and to show their experiences. Thereby the main questions concerned leisure time, social and family life, experiences with the social environment as well as available possibilities of discharge. Overall in the time between April and June 2010 six interviews with caregiving family members of autistic children were made. The recruitment of the participants was carried out through facilities for people with autism spectrum disorders and through private contacts. The majority was female, only one participant was male. The interviewed people were between 38 and 49 years old and hailed from Vienna and Lower Austria. The data interpretation has been based on the summing up content analysis of Philipp Mayring. The data analysis showed four main categories called “limitations”, “social acceptance”, “social inacceptance” and “support”, which can be classified in different sub categories. The study showed that social integration of families concerned is influenced by many factors, amongst others through inadequate behaviour of outsiders. Therefore society needs to be educated increasingly about autism spectrum disorders. Furthermore caregiving family members lack more support from experts to come up to the challenges of their daily routine and to live a “normal” life as much as possible

Update on chloroplast research

Chloroplasts, the green differentiation form of plastids, are the sites of photosynthesis and other important plant functions. Genetic and genomic technologies have greatly boosted the rate of discovery and functional characterization of chloroplast proteins during the past decade. Indeed, data obtained using high-throughput methodologies, in particular proteomics and transcriptomics, are now routinely used to assign functions to chloroplast proteins. Our knowledge of many chloroplast processes, notably photosynthesis and photorespiration, has reached such an advanced state that biotechnological approaches to crop improvement now seem feasible. Meanwhile, efforts to identify the entire complement of chloroplast proteins and their interactions are progressing rapidly, making the organelle a prime target for systems biology research in plants

Development and Applications of Transplastomic Plants; A Way Towards Eco-Friendly Agriculture

With distribution of genetic materials and advance molecular characteristics, the chloroplast is prokaryotic compartments within the eukaryotic plants that have turned into a crucial source for the genetic engineering and transplastomic plants are becoming more popular means of agricultural development with elevated crop yield. To address global agricultural problems, genetic modification of crop plants is a rapid and promising solution to adapt the environment-friendly and well-controlled farming system. The transplastomic plant with high accumulation of foreign proteins (up to 45-46% TSP) and stable transgene expression with gene containment can be a unique choice for the agricultural innovation of coming centuries. Although the transplastomic plants still facing encumber to ensure the full potential exploitation and expansion as an economical means, the removal of hardness and obstacles of this technology and commercialization can contribute for the sustainable development of future agriculture. In this book chapter, we intend to recapitulate the up to date development and achievement of transplastomic plant including gene transfer procedures in plastid genomes, regulable expression of plastid transgenes, plant trait improvement by foreign gene expression, biopharmaceuticals production, engineering of metabolic pathways in plant, study of transformation mediated RNA editing technologies, bio-safety issues and public concerns on transplastomic plants and overall beneficial aspects. Anforderungen an die Aufnahme eines Gewerbes in ausgewählten Staaten

Wie einfach lassen sich Gewerbe in verschiedenen Staaten aufnehmen? Dieses Buch stellt die Erkenntnisse der Studie "Anforderungen an die Aufnahme eines Gewerbes in ausgewählten Staaten" dar, die im Auftrag der Wirtschaftskammer Steiermark erfolgte. 14 Jahre nach Inkrafttreten der Dienstleistungsrichtlinie (RiL 123/2006/EG) stellt sich noch immer die Frage, ob die Märkte der Mitgliedstaaten hinreichend offen sind. Die Dienstleistungsrichtlinie hat die Mitgliedstaaten zu vereinfachten Verwaltungsverfahren und zur Liberalisierung gezwungen. Gleichwohl gibt es weiterhin erhebliche Unterschiede in den Anforderungen an die Aufnahme eines Gewerbes im Einzelnen. Wie einfach kann also eine gewerbliche Tätigkeit in Österreich aufgenommen werden? Um diese Frage zu beantworten, muss vorher geklärt werden, was mit "einfach" überhaupt gemeint ist. Hierbei soll ein Vergleich des Gewerberechts von ausgewählten Staaten behilflich sein. Mit Autorinnen und Autoren aus Deutschland, Griechenland, Italien, Österreich, Slowenien, Spanien, Taiwan, den USA und dem Vereinigten Königreich gibt das Werk einen Überblick über gewerberechtliche Bestimmungen und Systeme.</jats:p
