Hydrological conceptual model characterisation of an abandoned mine site in semiarid climate : the Sierra de Cartagena-La Unión (SE Spain)
A comprehensive study at Sierra de Cartagena-La Unión (SE Spain) abandoned mine site was carried out to characterise the regime and water quality of the groundwater system after the mine closure. The system consists of five geologic fractured blocks belonging to the Alpujarride and Nevado-Filabride complexes. The aquifer units are composed of limestone and dolostone materials. Recharge is mainly controlled by the N-130 fault system, man-made induced fractures, open-pits and underground workings. Discharge is indicated from open pit lakes by the proximal dome-shaped groundwater level contours. Aquifer natural recharge, assessed by fracture density maps and chloride mass balance, provided consistent results. The water hydrochemical facies show a marked sulphate concentration and acidic pH (average pH of 2.53-6.30). A maximum concentration of 4,100 mg/L of Zn and 40,000 mg/L of sulphate was observed in open-pit lakes. Springs present the lowest residence time and are low mineralised with an average pH of 7.6. Geochemical modelling based on the PHREEQCI code indicates water undersaturation with respect to almost all related mineral species and anoxic conditions prevail in the system. Although an adequate understanding of the regional system is provided, a further detailed hydrochemical study is necessary to assess the undergoing geochemical changes
Objective: Determine the effect of mood, anxiety and depression on sexual health and the impact on colombian women who have undergone treatment for breast cancer. Methods: cross-correlational design, non-probability sampling, sample 103 women undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Sexual Function Questionnaire – SFQ Karen Syrjala, 2000), Profile of mood – POMS, anxiety and depression inventory of Beck was applied. Results: The impact of treatment in breast cancer is affected by anxiety and depression experienced by women undergoing these treatments. Also, it is negatively related to sexual health in the dimensions excitement, activity, desire, satisfaction, orgasm, relationships and interest, and the mood in the vigor subscale. In contrast, the mood affects both sexual health as the impact of treatment. Conclusions: It contributes to knowledge about sexual and emotional health facing women as a result of the effects of treatments for breast cancer and provides the basis for nursing development, implementation and measurement of interventions to mitigate the impact of the treatments.
The disease-linked Glu-26-Lys mutant version of Coronin 1A exhibits pleiotropic and pathwayspecific signaling defects

Mutations that generate truncated or unstable Coro1A proteins cause immunodeficiencies in both humans and rodents. However, in the case of the peripheral T-cell–deficient (Ptcd) mouse strain, the immunodeficiency is caused by a Glu-26-Lys mutation that targets a surface-exposed residue unlikely to affect the intramolecular architecture and stability of the protein. Here we report that this mutation induces pleiotropic effects in Coro1A protein, including the exacerbation of Coro1A-dependent actin-binding and -bundling activities; the formation of large meshworks of Coro1AE26K-decorated filaments endowed with unusual organizational, functional, and staining properties; and the elimination of Coro1A functions associated with both Rac1 and myosin II signaling. By contrast, it does not affect the ability of Coro1A to stimulate the nuclear factor of activated T-cells (NF-AT). Coro1AE26K is not a dominant-negative mutant, indicating that its pathological effects are derived from the inability to rescue the complete loss of the wild-type counterpart in cells. These results indicate that Coro1AE26K behaves as either a recessive gain-of-function or loss-of-function mutant protein, depending on signaling context and presence of the wild-type counterpart in cells. This work has been supported by grants to X.R.B. from the Castilla-León Autonomous Government (CSI101U13), the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (SAF2012-31371, RD12/0036/0002), the Solórzano Foundation, and the Ramón Areces Foundation.
A Study of ELL Adult’s Use of Mobile Communication Applications: an Examination of Tie Strength
This study begins to examine the problems that surround the usability and design of mobile communication applications for E.L.L (English Language Learner) immigrant adults in the United States by looking at the intent of this population when using phones. A user study was conducted where ELL immigrant adults answered questions about their mobile phone use. The results show that ELL immigrant adults use their smart phones daily and communicate with their friends and family, showing that maintenance of strong ties is important to this community. We hope this study moves towards an inclusive application that takes into account the relationship maintenance needs of this community
Participatory diagnosis for the development of municipal housing plans: The cases of Bormujos and Bollullos de la Mitación (Andalusía)
The bursting of the Spanish real estate bubble in 2008 revealed a serious problem of housing access for a growing sector of the population that cannot afford market prices, while part of the existing housing stock remains vacant. In a context of lack of resources, the Andalusian Housing and Land Plan (2016-2020) proposes that municipalities develop Municipal Housing and Land Plans (known as PMVS in Spanish) to explore innovative solutions that contribute to bringing these two extremes closer together based on knowledge of the specific situation in each locality and the participation of the social actors involved. This article sets out to create a participatory diagnostic of the situation of unresolved demand and vacant housing stock on a local scale in order to situate the challenges that a PMVS should address. To this end, under a methodological framework of participatory action research, the study analyses the participatory process implemented in two municipalities in the Seville metropolitan area, Bormujos and Bollullos de la Mitación, as case studies representative of the urban processes that took place during the years of the real estate bubble. Therefore, the results were used to create a profile of the existing needs and the available resources that could be allocated to meet them, in this case empty housing and vacant land. Likewise, through this experience it was possible to conclude how the participation of technicians, politicians and citizens in public policy development contributes to building critical awareness, a sense of appropriation and the commitment of local agents to the challenge faced, which facilitates their subsequent involvement in the implementation of collaborative actions
Co Treatment With Biologic Agents and Immunotherapy in the Setting of irAEs of Difficult Management
Adverse drugs reaction; Immune check-point inhibitors therapy; Immunosuppression therapyReacción adversa a medicamentos; Terapia con inhibidores del punto de control inmunitario; Terapia inmunosupresoraReaccions adverses als fàrmacs; Teràpia amb inhibidors del punt de control immune; Teràpia d'immunosupressióIn recent years, immunotherapy has become an important pillar of cancer treatment, with high response rates regardless of tumor histology or baseline mutations, sometime in patients without any alternative of treatment. Moreover, these treatments are moving from later line therapies to front-line therapies in the metastasic setting. However, immune activation associated with immune check-point inhibitors (ICI) is not selective and a large variety of immune-related adverse events, with an increasing frequency, have been associated with anti-PD1, anti-PD-1/L-1 and anti-CTLA-4 agents. In clinical trials, and sometimes also in real life practice, patients who develop severe toxicities on ICI-based therapies are usually not allowed to resume ICI once their disease progresses, because of the chance of developing severe irAEs on rechallenge with immunotherapies. Moreover, patients with irAEs suffer important side effects due to the high dose corticosteroids that are used to treat them. Therapy with ICI is sometimes the only alternative for certain patients, and for this reason co treatment with classic (DMARDS) or biologic immunosuppression therapy and ICI must be considered. Co-treatment with this type of immunosuppressant drugs, apart from allowing the maintenance of ICI therapy, drive to a lesser use of corticosteroids, with an improvement of the safety and quality of life of the patients. Such a tailored scheme of treatment is mostly an expert opinion based on recommendation and currently there is scarce evidence supporting it. Herein we present comprehensive, current recommendations and real-world data on the use of co-treatment with ICI and DMARDS and biologic immunosuppression

Burr detection and classification using RUSTICO and image processing
.Machined workpieces must satisfy quality standards such as avoid the presence of burrs in edge finishing to reduce production costs and time. In this work we consider three types of burr that are determined by the distribution of the edge shape on a microscopic scale: knife-type (without imperfections), saw-type (presence of small splinters that could be accepted) and burr-breakage (substantial deformation that produces unusable workpieces). The proposed method includes RUSTICO to classify automatically the edge of each piece according to its burr type. Experimental results validate its effectiveness, yielding a 91.2% F1-Score and identifying completely the burr-breakage type.S
Disability Policies and Management in Bolivia: Changes and Challenges
The Plurinational State of Bolivia has experienced significant social changes with a growing commitment toward policies that favor vulnerable populations. Acknowledging movements led by people with disabilities to promote progress in social policies is a crucial task. The public sector has responded to the demands and needs of this population through recognition and promotion of their rights. Nevertheless, to ensure progress, we must support the voices of the stakeholders and promote their participation in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the system, and the real needs and demands of people with disabilities in Bolivia. To this end, in this study, we gathered statements of key informants, using a focus group technique. The results of the data analysis indicate an increase in social awareness and recognition of the needs of this collective and the importance of their full inclusion in society. However, there is a distortion in the application of certain assistance and inclusion policies in favor of people with disabilities because these policies do not have their intended impact.
